I'll add my half token's worth on the helicopter thing. If the intent was to herd them in a certain direction, the chopper would have been flying much lower and slower. At that height and speed, walkers are barely indistinguishable dots. I think the main purpose for them showing the chopper was to instill into viewer's and any survivor's minds that there is at least some hope of a safe zone or normality. That's how I viewed it anyway. :dontknow:

Now the one thing that kept me pondering is Why the F*** didn't they switch out that beat up old truck that ran out of gas with one of the nicer vehicles that was on the highway that probably had a nice FULL tank of gas. That pissed me off....um hello talk about stupid. Not only that why not at least get AN ADDITIONAL vehicle. I mean really can they not use any extra things they can get atm?! Just doesn't make much sense. Hell 1 car for every 2 persons.....why the hell not...... they sure as shit wouldn't be sitting ducks like they are right now. Which brings me to.....why make everyone stay over night?! Why not send someone ahead to get some gas so they don't have to stay the night. Either way someone is going to have to go get gas and they are going to have to split up.....I mean come on.

That was the same spot where they meet that small herd and Sofia runned away, there should be not any gas left on those tanks. So they would need to hotwire a car and put the gas of the old truck on it with random walkers and that farm herd near them/spread all around them. More cars, more gas, despite they carrying less weight. Going out alone or in a small group, at the night, just for gas is not a good idea, imho.

I agree with Neudiin on the helicopter. It was just a way to show how herds are formed.

First time Michonne shows up at the comics for free. Until monday (26/03) I believe.

I need to get to reading! I have the big giant book, I want to try catching up on reading before next season starts. I do think it's funny though. I watched the first few episodes, then started reading and realized the first few hours was literally covered in 2 pages! They did pretty good at stretching it out.

I'm really irritated about the mid seasoning. I mean this season only had, what 4 episodes? I just get into the routine of watching it and then it's done.

Methinks it was closer to 8 episodes, it just goes by so flippin' fast. I too hate how AMC incorporates such long seasonal breaks. Another show I got into was 'The Killing' which resumes again soon, but it feels like it's been over a year now since the last episode was aired. WAY TOO LONG!

It was 6 episodes in season1, 13 in season 2 (7 before the break, just finished up 6).

13 episodes a season is fairly common these days for premium content on TV. Most of the HBO seasons are 10-12 episodes for example (Game of Thrones 10, Boardwalk Empire 12, True Blood 12, etc). Dexter is 12 episodes a season I think.

Ugh, I got SO into Justified the first season then turned off cable. It's not on netflix, I need to check and see if it's on Amazon.

I've been waiting for the new season of Sons of Anarchy to come out they only started production about a month back, it's going to take so long for it to air. I think the producers need to get on the ball and keep up with the good shows instead of just spewing out more new crap

Let me start by saying that I did not read all 6 pages of this thread, so I apologize if I am repeating what others have said.

Anyway, last month I spent a solid day-and-a-half of my vacation reading The Walking Dead comics (90 of them). There are a few differences between the comics and the show so it will be interesting to see what they do when things pick back up later in the year. Towards the end of last season I was getting bored, but it seemed like the last two episodes picked up and with the introduction to Michonne I couldn't be more excited for next season. :)

By the way, you don't have to be into comics to enjoy reading the series. If you can find the comics online or in your local comic shop I highly recommend them.

So I have a GOOD feeling that season 3 will NOT live up to the comics. And if they do follow the comics, well, they should end the third season with issue 48! That one actually made me tear up at the end! So fucking sad would be an amazing season ender, but I get this feeling AMC will soften it and I will have to quit watching if they don't include it the way it was written in the comic (sorry don't want to give spoilers, look up issue 48 if ur curious about WTF I am talking bout and dont know.....HUGE SPOILER if AMC includes it!)

This is the issue I'm talking about and how I think they need to end next season....DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU DONT FOLLOW THE COMICS AND IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THINGS THAT MAY HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE

Oh and another note....... What was was your guys' take on the helicopter? It sure as hell seemed like they were TRYING to herd the walkers. Do you think there is a bigger group trying to get all the herders together to kill them?? It just seemed like the helicopter was a ploy to get a herd of the walkers......?

The helicopter was a reference to the comics and what is to come. In the comics they go to the prison, than they see the helicopter and it crashes......etc....etc....SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS....lol.....They just had that in there so the fans of the comics would get excited and shit about whats to come....at least that's what I think :) Helicopter crash was just kind of a pivotal moment leading up to an awesome change in the story line after the prison
