Pretty huge card tonight, even the prelims look decent. Yall going to be watching? Have any favorite fighters or fights? Talk about it here.

Will be rooting for Weidman and Cormier but I only really see Weidman winning, hope I'm wrong.

Happy to be wrong. All those years training and Rumble still has zero cardio, don't get it but glad. Highlight of the show was old man Arlovski getting back in the title hunt in 2015, insane fight, great show.

I was glad Cormier won but sadly his title reign will always have a giant Jon Jones shadow hanging over it unless he comes back for a rematch.

And as for Arlovski that fight was like watching a real life Rocky movie, one of the best fights I think I've ever seen

I bought that one, too much hype surrounding it not to. Fight wasn't bad, but I think I enjoyed the post-fight press conference more. Probly buy a rematch. Hope Jones isn't making a War Machine exit from UFC here.

Siddown bruce leroy!!!

Ortega v. Tavares damn good one. Ref a little late with stoppage imo, but nobody left on a stretcher, so all is well.

Hoping that Hendo can get a win tonight and then retires.

He didn't look like a guy ready for retirement tonight.

Yeah, looked great. Shawn Jordan with that sweet chin music was crazy.

Yeah I dvr'd it, going to go back and watch that and the Mitrione fight again.

When Mitrione was on The Ultimate Fighter, he came across as a whiny ass. Did not like the guy at all. But his last few fights he's had some moments that I appreciated. Thought he looked pretty good last night in spite of the loss. The right he landed directly on Rothwell's mouthpiece, you could tell big man did not like the taste of that shit at all .

But I really want to see the tap again. Wasn't one of them "Ok you got me" taps. Was one of those "AWRIGHT AWRIGHT AWRIGHT" taps.

Yeah meathead has grown on me too. Even Rothwell has since he knocked out Overeem and did a hilarious little dance. His promo game needs some work but hey, at least he tried.

Werdum is probably going to get mauled but I'll still be rooting for him. Cain is way too injury prone and will get a headache or stub a toe and be out another few years after he wins. Co main should be wild at least.

Still kinda shocked Werdum is the champ, pretty awesome. Co main was a disappointment but still, at least we have a new champ that will hopefully defend the title once a year. Pretty excited for 189. Love McGregor but Aldo should beat him pretty easily. Lead up to the fight will probably be way more exciting than the fight itself.

What was even more shocking to me was seeing Cain gassed out like that. We've never seen him look even remotely that bad.

I can't believe the odds on Aldo/McGregor:

True Conner could be the next big thing and we've never seen him in trouble (edit: nor really tested, I think Frankie Edgar kills him for example), but the odds being 1:1 against Aldo who is *currently* the big thing and has been for 5 years, is insane.
Easy money to be made on Aldo for sure.

Yeah the only notable win I can even remember McGregor having was over Poirer. Beating Siver and then getting a title shot is pretty weird. Dude is great on the mic and at hyping fights so I can't blame them for giving him the chance but he might get exposed big time. Aldo is just a completely different level.

I thought this was interesting, dana mentioned this during the post fight conference:

Werdum looked unbelievable. He came into this fight with a great game plan. He went up [to train] into higher elevation than Mexico City. People think Denver, Colo., is a tough place to fight. This is a tough place to fight. I think we broke the record for guys puking in the back -- like six guys threw up after their fights. This altitude kills you here."
That combined with someone actually puking in the octagon (during the interview with Rogan) and how badly Cain looked, really puts into perspective how tough fighting at that altitude is.

OT. Bellator.

Kimbo Slice v. Ken Shamrock. lol

Pretty good fight night. Great head kick ko. And Machida did about what I expected (though not what I hoped for).

That so called "fight" was disgraceful. Bellator should be ashamed for even sanctioning it. It was basically a huge guy beating an old guy.
Looked to me like an old guy dominating a huge guy, until his arthritis started acting up :haha:. Yes, sad, but still hilarious at the same time.

But Bellator can only eat the scraps that fall from UFC's table; they gots to work with what they can I guess. Seems like they may be improving (but when I see Tito on there, I roll my eyes and immediately flip the channel back over to TVLand).

Loved the fight. Machida was all over the place, Romero was solid the entire time.
Yes good fight. Brutal finish.

I'm going to be watching it at a mini house party.

Conner is coming out to Sinead O'Connor singing him out live! I mentioned earlier in this thread that I think he gets smashed by Frankie Edgar. Chad Mendes is almost as bad a match-up, so I see similiar results. I wonder if the UFC thinks he has much of a chance or just felt their hands were tied?

An amazing night for the beautiful sport of human cock fighting. Wasn't really impressed by McGregor. Robbie Lawler and Rory was a war, holy shit. The way Rory just collapsed and his face in general was hard to watch, tough dude. Multiple Tiger Knees was pretty wild.

Downward spiral continues for Mayhem. Always liked him but can't really be a fan of his anymore I don't think. Last memory of him fighting was him just standing there getting beat the fuck up by Bisping. Was a really weird fight. Still a pretty entertaining dude, just needs to get clean. bop bop bop bop bop martial arts!
