So I have a question, if that's okay - how do you go about encouraging people to follow your twitter? I've never had twitter before my cam related one so everything feels strange (and that's less than 36 hours old)

On CB you can make a small picture/GIF and post it every 5 minutes in channel. So you are not to pushy. And you can add it to your profile like some girls do with their amazon wishlist and affiliate/register button.
And with the right promoters it will grow. It is an add on not goal on it self. So give it time.

And one thing i am not a specialist on marketing whatever. It is all based on own experiences and effects i have seen. There are always better ways to promote. I prefer to be in mine advices to be less aggressive to prevent that models will scare/intimidate their (potential) customers. Getting customers is hard. Keeping them is harder.

As far i know there is no option in twitter to (geo)block any thing. The only thing they have is tag as sensitive content.

The geoblocking that is happening is from their own side. With certain copyright material complaints. But no option yet from the users side.

What's up with Twitter accounts with 10s of thousands of followers but only follow 1 person?

I'm so happy to come across this! I've really been trying to do more on my Twitter but never really sure what's the best things to post and what I do post never gets any likes. Def gonna check this out. Thank you!

Is there a decently up to date list of retweeters and promoters? The most recent one I've found is from 2013.
It's 2018 and we hate them all now.

Jk. I don't actually know so I'm just here being a smart ass. They seem to have got worse over the years

Can you tell me how to make the gif? Thank you!

I was passing this around and figured why not share it with everyone:

If anyone ever wants a general dos and donts Twitter and IG sheet, here's a link to one.

If you want it more specific based on your target market, niche, etc., just holler; I have subs to a number of social media analysis sites.

You can also check out RiteTag.com or Best-HashTags.com for FREE assistance as well.

Cheers.

Twitter and Instagram General Outline

It took me a while to start enjoying Twitter, let alone utilizing it in a way that is more beneficial to my business. Like... I really love interacting with my fellow models. But I am teeeerrible at remembering to tweet promotional posts - wishlists, my store links, gifs, etc. Stuff that can actually remind people that I've got plenty of stuff for them to buy!

So what I'll do is sit down every few weeks, and write up all of my promotional tweets, and I use Tweetdeck to queue them up for posting (though I don't really recommend using it for GIFS because it still goes by the old Twitter gif size limit - pictures seem to be alright though!). This way, the more repetitive (for me) promotional posts just post themselves automatically, and I don't have to worry about remembering them anymore. That takes off the pressure of being business minded, and I can spend the rest of my week posting favorite video links and fun, more personal tweets and interacting with my fellow models. It's also handy if I have to go out of town or something - I can make sure I don't have tons of radio silence, and can still promote myself while going out into the real world and having adventures.

There are a few different programs like Tweetdeck - Hootsuite is another similar website I've heard mentioned, but I've never tried that!
That is a brilliant idea. Thank you.

I'm trying to figure out how that relates to what @paige_orion was talking about that @NaughtyNat98 was replying to?

Very simple. Many online tools (except tweet deck as it is twitters) Need to pay per user to use API system for twitter after the 16 of august. Expected it that many (free) automated tools will stop after 16 august or have less options. Mine little warning before people get payed tools or invest time into new tooling.
It is still foggy how every API tool will work in the future. As many tool builders said they will change the options they provide or even stop to provide any service.

Ok, that's why I was confused, since Paige's post was solely about using Tweetdeck to schedule tweets. As you said, Tweetdeck is own by Twitter so it wouldn't qualify as a 3rd party tool.

This post has been super helpful! I just made our twitter account and I am super excited/overwhelmed by it all!

Twitter Routine - to help you remember to tweet OR manage your twitter time better

If you struggle to keep up with interactions on twitter, Or find that you're constantly checking it to the point that its intrusive in your life - one thing that helped me manage it a bit better was to have "no twitter" times (im a twitter addict) where i actually remove the app from my phone.

The way that i make sure i stay interactive when im doing this (and this would work if you are just not as good at keeping up with twitter) is that once every morning it is my routine to sit down, turn my notications tab on my PC to "Mentions" and I reply to almost every single one. I also go over my DMs.

One of the reasons twitter works well for me is that i stay interactive and this is one way i do this.

Ask questions, make polls. Don't make everything business.
If you're struggling to get people to interact with you: silly little polls or questions will get people moving. Things like "Whats your fav sunday morning breakfast" or "whats your fav sex position" .. shit like that.

Basics: Hashtags & Tagging
HASHTAGS: Don't Over USE THEM! The golden rule of most social media marketing for twitter is no more than 2 hashtags per tweet, and they must be relevant to the tweet. Bonus if you use them in a sentence rather than tacked on at the end. Hashtags can be really great ways for new ppl to find you BUT when every tweet is 80% hashtag you look like a spam bot.

Same goes for tagging 5 million promoters. If you do use promoters, thats fine but when every tweet is tagging them you look like a spam bot.

If you wouldn't follow your own twitter feed, why would someone else. Would you interact with your own self?
What would you say some of the best hashtags are for promoting yourself?

I'm not sure if anyone touched on this yet, but are there optimal times to post on Twitter? I've been on Twitter and Instagram for personal stuff for a long time, and I know it matters when you post on Insta. I have no idea about Twitter though, or if it's different when it comes to this specific niche.
