Ahh, I just started Twitter for the first time EVARRR, and it's a little confusing to me!!

As I prepare for my cumback ;) on MFC I'm looking to get some people interested. (Also do up a good profile and prepare my cam for video game viewing (??))

Anyway, if anyone can give me a little insight on this Twitter business that would be awesome! Like:

1. Does it benefit you at all?
2. Does it help you reach new viewers/tippers on MFC?

I'd like to become better acquainted with other models, because it would be nice to have a support system other than my vanilla friends :geek:

I'm still working on my signature, so until then I'm @Karli_Killcam

How do I create a signature?

Go to the User Control Panel at the top right of the page.

On the Options menu on the left, click Profile, then >> Edit signature.

Here you can add links, small images/banners or quotes. (I personally prefer if people stuck to links, but ultimately it is up to you if you use images or not. If you use images, PLEASE keep them small and only one or two. Large signatures make posts appear larger and throw off the flow of the page.) I will give you an example of one that I've used before, with colored links and pink hearts.
Code:
[color=#FF40FF] <3 [/color] [url=http://twitter.com/#!/AmberLynneGirl][color=#BF00FF][b]Tweets[/b][/color][/url][color=#FF40FF] <3 [/color] [url=http://www.myfreecams.com/?baf=2148050#AmberCutie][color=#008000][b]MFC Room[/b][/color][/url][color=#FF40FF] <3 [/color][url=http://profiles.myfreecams.com/AmberCutie][color=#000080][b]MFC Profile[/b][/color][/url][color=#FF40FF] <3 [/color][url=http://steamcommunity.com/id/ambercutie][b][color=#00BFBF]Steam Profile[/color][/b][/url] [color=#FF40FF] <3 [/color]
This is what it looks like:

(Please note that my BAF link is attached to my MFC Room link in my signature, however, others may not use their BAF in theirs. Thank you for your consideration.)

To use an image in your signature, please follow the instructions from the "How do I use images in my post?" section above and note that only approved image hosts are allowed.

Twitter and social media are incredible tools for getting noticed and getting people in the door, so to speak. It can help people relate to you on a personal level outside of just being on cam. It makes you seem more real, instead of just pixels on a screen.

Well that's good to hear. I was almost anti-twitter until now.

And thanks for the siggy help!

I'm the same about Twitter in the sense that I never wanted to use it, but camming pretty much made me have to. I highly recommend Tweetdeck as a method of keeping up with it. https://about.twitter.com/products/tweetdeck

That quote was from Amber in her how to thread. :) But you're welcome. The how to's and stickies are pretty helpful. I still find myself rifling through them to find information from time to time
