Hopefully this is the right forum for this. I was in an MFC model's room recently and saw something to the effect of "clicking here when buying tokens helps my camscore". When I clicked the link (tinyurl something) it did take me to the token buying area. My questions are, is this for real, and if so is there a way I can do it for a specific (favorite) model to help her score too? Thanks

However, it is against the rules for models to use this link in their room, and it only has an effect if a user is signing up by the link, not just buying tokens. Basic or premium accounts using it will not gain her tokens.

A few years ago MFC had a big problem with people generating tokens using the BAF feature. Some very clever people were using bots and fake websites, to create fake accounts under the friends feature. They tightened the rules, and monitored it more.
This model would recieve no benefit from premium purchases using this feature. She is either phishing for basic purchases, or just trying to be helpful/ encourage spending (not knowing the rules). Most models use the BAF link with their model social media accounts. Premium members could do the same either for themselves or for another account (i.e. their favourite model). If you have a favourite, just ask her for it.
On a personal note, I decided not to use this feature. I was ok with being a user, not ok being a seller. I believe it also places less experienced models at more disadvantage, as a member I would rather the most skilled models within chat itself get the rewards, not those with the best social profile. (Sorry Amber :shhh: hehe)
I used to get all my tokens from my BAF link with it posted on my website. Referred tons of users years ago when most my site viewers didn't know what MFC was yet. Got to the point that I had 10,000 free tokens in the account. Couple months later, the account mysteriously went missing so that there wasn't even one under that username anymore. I just assume MFC deleted it. Never got a response back from support. Though I've seen people who weren't using there BAF link, say MFC server crashes have caused their accounts to be lost before. I don't know if that actually happens, but sounds possible.

I should've specified, she didn't post the link in her room. It was in the signature line of an MFC mail (a reply, it wasn't un-solicited). So it's possibly been there so long she's forgotten about it. But that brings up a good question, if it's only for signing up, how would it work... I give up. Thanks for all the replies ladies
It sounds more likely that it wasn't a BAF link, but instead it's just an offline tip link since it took you to the area to buy tokens and not to the MFC homepage.
