her using it in a room full of people should have made them all cringe.

I think it's safe to say that the 'n' word makes many (most?) non-Black people cringe too. In fact, there are many cam girls who refuse to do race play private shows where guys ASK them to call them the 'n' word (yes, sometimes guys request those kind of shows), because they're just not comfortable with it.
I can't think of many things more cringeworthy. Maybe "daddy play." Not the same at all but on a similar level of cringe.

I don't think that was what I'm arguing. I'm not saying that the 'N' word isn't offensive - because it is offensive when people take offense to it; I just consider it not racist in some contexts.
Yeah, like in a dictionary listing that explains how offensive it is. The way SHE used it was offensive.

I was never arguing that it wasn't offensive - I even submitted that I believed it was in the quote. I will agree that the way she used it was probably racist (I don't know full context, can't claim any certainty), but that wasn't what Jupiter was disagreeing with. He seems to be claiming that any use of the term would be racist.

We may be splitting hairs a bit here. It's a racist term, and when people use it, whether or not they are racist, they are acting in a racist way, and that is why it's offensive.

I'm agreeing with you - it's offensive. I'm not sure how many times I need to say this for you to understand that I'm not disagreeing that it's offensive. There's a specific difference between being offensive and being racist. It's important to be aware of the difference.

I define racism very specifically to be: prejudiced based on their skin pigmentation or anything else that denotes ethnic origin, and/or to be discriminatory on the basis of any prejudice held against them. It might be like racism, but I'm just claiming that it isn't racism. In essence, I'm making the distinction between friends calling eachothers 'niggas', with racists calling African-Americans (aka Americans) 'niggers'. The former is excusable, the latter is not.

EDIT - I shall agree that when they use these terms, they can be perceived as racists. It doesn't mean they are though - which presumably, is what you're trying to imply?

This is a great thread. Can we not ruin it by going back and forth about what is and isn't racist? If you're gonna be ballsy enough to blurt out stuff that many/most consider 'racist', just be prepared for people to react with disapproval.

Okay. Things members say that make you go "WTF?".....

Guys who want you to watch them on cam and ignore the fact that you asked them to tip for it.

"Hey bb, check my cam." What is it that I'm "checking" for exactly? LOL. You might as well just come right out and say what you REALLY mean.....

"Hey bb, watch me on cam. I don't intend on tipping the 90 tokens, but I'm gonna sit here and continue begging you to watch my cam until you ban me, or until I get tired of begging and leave the room on my own."

Haha! That's hilarious. "want to see my infected tarantula bite bb? I'm on cam now. I'm ready for you. Watch me now. It's here! It's leaking fluid!"

In reference to not ruining the thread; I just feel it's unfair that my position gets so misinterpreted that I have to tell the opposition five times before they understand that I'm agreeing with them (I presume that we're at an agreement?) on a specific point, and arguing about a completely separate point.

Going back on topic as suggested; it irks me when members call their outrageous demands 'requests'. They aren't polite messages to ask for something - they're demands/instructions to a model, as though they were a director of some sort.

I think it would help if you got your point across in fewer words sometimes.

I apologize for continuing the conversation, but I just want to make a quick amendment to quickly show what I really meant when I made an earlier reply.

I don't think saying the n-word makes someone a racist - I think it's to use it in a way that's clearly discriminatory and prejudiced that does. The n-word can be innocent if it's between friends to identify a specific black-culture that they call 'nigga'.

On topic: 'Do u do skype bb?' 'paypal?'

Unless the two friends are black, then calling each other 'niggas' is ignorant at best, and yes, racist at worst. It's also a different word - it's used differently, you even spelled it differently. It doesnt matter if she's part black, she doesn't get a free pass to call people ni**ers, and can you imagine a black person (part or otherwise) repeatedly referring to black penis as "ni**er dick"? Cos I sure as hell can't.

Besides which, if she's more than 1/32nd part negro, I'd expect to see pigs flying past my window. She's a fucking pale ginger for christ's sake.

From time to time I remove people off my friends list. These are usually people who aren't in my room that often, and when they're in there they only talk when my ass is in the camera ("Mmmm, I could eat off dat ass"), and they'll lurk for a short time before exiting quietly, and the only time they tip is once in a blue moon when I have a ridiculously cheap Skype raffle.

But for some reason, these people will come in my room and get the urge to PM me, and then whine "I can't PM you now? You took me off your friends list?"

Sorry, but if you fit the above criteria, and you're using friends list privileges just to PM me this...
"Hi Fox."
"How are you?"
"How was your day?"
"Who's that White dude in the bj video? You're too sexy for him." :woops:
"I've missed you. How come you ain't never online?" (That's BS. I'm on MFC 4 nights/wk. You'd know this if you actually read my profile and paid attention to me on Twitter.)

...then you're abusing PM privileges and wasting my time, which SHOULD be used focusing on the people in public chat who are nice enough to have friendly conversation with me and tip me.

This is why sometimes you may find me glancing at a PM, and then answering the guy (by talking aloud) in front of everyone. I'm not gonna keep typing away in PMs if it's stuff you could've just said right there in public chat.

Yes. I quit going into a model's room I really like because except for during her actual shows, she'd spend more than half her time typing in PMs. (lol and her keyboard was very noisy)

I like girls who practice Amber's pm policy - she adds who she likes, doesn't take add requests or charge tokens, and if the privelige is abused they're removed. It encourages people to use PMs appropriately. And the appropriate way to use PMs is rarely, and when there's something relevant to say that is inappropriate in public chat.

It's probably one of the most effective policies; if the conversation in pm is appropriate for public, then talk about it in public. If you can't do that, then don't use the room.

LOL. He clearly does like what he sees, otherwise he wouldn't still be sitting in your room freeloading.

"I'll go private, bb. But first can you give me a lil' preview?"

I can understand why he likes her, today was the first time I had the opportunity to see Lily on cam, she is beautiful, well spoken and very entertaining. I just wish I could have been able to pay more attention to her.

i dont have anything members say its something they do that is making me go fucking nuts lately.
bitches be skype video calling me after weve had maybe one show, or they saw me on cam and were like durrrr doesn't seem busy to me.
just because you paid 500 tokens for a skype show once doesn't mean from now on in the middle of the night when im laying under the covers on my laptop wasting time on ambercutie and looking at cute animals that i want to tend to your dick! like seriously assholes i have a life. well not so much as a life but as things to do that dont involve your stupid penis. im not always soaking wet and ready and half dressed. andddd if your going to pull that shit youd think id have a tip in my inbox like mmmmmmm bbbbbbbb heres money for bothering you. but no! apparently if you buy one show you have bought a lifetime membership.
this actually happens on a nightly basis im constantly blocking tards who think i live inside the computing machine waiting for them.
end rant.

I'm one of those, I don't do race play. Partially because only a six figure token amount could possibly help offset the horror of having one of those shows leak onto a tube site, and partially because 99% of the time the member asking me to call him a dirty n-word is in actually a white guy and the inherent psychology behind that has never sat well with me :?
