Im man enough to admit when im wrong but god damn it Philly why did you have to make yesterday the day you suck?

Mistakes at all levels cost packers the game, fumble on the goal line, not challenging the incomplete pass on 4th and 3 i mean seriously what do you have to lose? a time out? its almost half time anyway. And then the stupid face mask penalty to give them the ball at midfield.

Am kind of annoyed by the analysts talking of matt ryan showing great leadership by driving them for the field goal when all he had to was throw two passes and get 15 yards. way to go matty ice.

And I got 13/15 picks right yesterday and is the 3rd week I won pick em. $180 dollars won so far this year for me, just in time for my trip.
pick your favorite phrase.
snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
not living up to athletic potential.
philly always finds a way to suck.

The niners can't even do anything right, when I want them to win they lose, and when I want them to lose they win man the niners once again played themselves out of top pick 5 to get a franchise qb like Andrew Luck

I dont know. If you look at the other shitty teams out there they already have a QB that they've drafted in the past few years or have other bigger needs else where. Bills'll stick with fitzpatrick, Lions have stafford, carolina has clausen, denver has orton (or tebow HAHAHAHAHHAHA) so in all honesty you should get the QB of your choosing. Though personally I think Mallet from Arkansas will be a better pro QB.

Can anyone explain to me why Harrison got fined or even penalized for his hit on fitzpatrick against the bills? He hit him in the chest almost immediately after fitzpatrick got rid of the ball. wasn't helmet to helmet, wasn't a late hit, so just like so many other rulings made by the NFL this year I am confused.

I don't think they have a damn clue about punishment anymore. You'd think they would've at least suspended the Titans player who was in that fight with Houston's Andre Johnson on Sunday but they both got $25k fines. WTF?

Andre Johnson is playing on the NFL owned NFL network Thursday night so to try and make it some what competitive they are allowing Houston's best receiver and one of the leagues most markee names to play. I am not too surprised there, what I am anxious to see is the next time there is a fight where its not the same circumstances if they suspend anyone.

But yeah I love when the NFL analysts on sportscenter or anywhere else gets asked about a fine and their response is "I Don't even know anymore. I've been confused for weeks, I give up."

Well, if I was dishing out the fines and suspensions, Johnson would've been fined at least $100k but the Titans player would've been given a 1 game suspension since he instigated the fight and had been going after Johnson all game with cheap shots and late hits.

If nothing else, send a message that if you're going to go after a player, at least do it within the rules of the game.

And I wouldn't have fined Harrison for that hit. And I think Harrison is a fucking prick so that's saying something.

Yeah the Titans cornerback has a huge history of being a prick and an instigator and fined by the league he is no match for Andre so he had to resort to that type of game play. So 3 hours of dealing with that I am surprised its Andre's first time of whooping that guys ass. I also agree with you that Andre should be fined more for throwing punches than someone would for a late hit. Harrison got fined more for making a tackle during a play against Cleveland than Andre did for fighting, something is wrong there.

Yeah I am not surprised by peoples personal feelings of Harrison and I dont know if he just got fined because of who he is because the play itself I dont see anything wrong with it.

But Arizona has problems at qb as well

Also the situation with Derek Anderson laughing on sideline with his teammate is not that much of a big deal, those guys were getting their ass handed to them, and his teammate was doing his best to cheer up his teammate and well they got caught on camera doing that and got overblown. I played high school football and the first school I went to we were terrible we went 2-8 and there days we are on the sideline with a frown on our face, and then we had our fullback cheering us up by making some jokes, and well I end going to another high school and enjoyed being on a winning team and being in the playoffs but we stilled made jokes when we were getting beat badly in the our second playoff game.

But that's high school. This is the NFL. It's a business. It's a job. And the fans don't want to see players who are stinking up the place look like they're having fun at sucking.

Has it been overblown? Probably. But only because Anderson acted like a fucking bitch in the press conference when he was asked what the context of that conversation that he was laughing at was. If he had just handled himself professionally, it wouldn't be an issue 2 days later.

I'm so happy with the new rules regarding hitting with the top of the helmet. Spearing (i.e., leading with the crown of the head) has always been illegal...and it is highly dangerous for the hitter and the one being hit. So when someone like Harrison hits with the top of his head and the official throws a flag, that's exactly how it should be. In fact, I would implement a rule that stated that if a player is called for four personal fouls for illegal hits in one season then the fifth one would result in an ejection from the current quarter and the next four as well.

I was hoping Harrison's retard ass was going to retire when he considered early on in the season, but he didn't do it, I can't stand that guy, he annoyed me with his whole statement about not going to the white house because he wants the president come to him, what a fucking asshat.

I'm glad Andre Johnson punched the shit out of Cortland Finnegan that fucker is such an annoying douche with his douchy smile

But to expect Derek Anderson or any professional athlete to walk around with a frown or a scowl on his face for 3 hours because his ass and his teams ass is getting handed to them? come on. I saw the clip, he smiled for a few brief seconds and that was that. It got blown out of proportion because it was a pretty shitty game in a shitty division where the winner of that division loses to the visiting team first round in the playoffs. If you want Derek Anderson to have a mean angry scowl on his face every time the cardinals are playing shitty that means he'd have a permanent scowl that could never smile or laugh or be happy ever.

People want to point out Tom Brady getting on his O line, and yelling and demanding and point out that he's a leader and thats why. But I guarantee you that if Anderson yelled at his team mates like Tom Brady Sportscenter would be running with the news story of how Derek Anderson explodes on his team and is throwing a temper tantrum and being a bad leader by not leading by example or some shit and he would still be up shit creek without a paddle.

Harrison didn't leave his feet or spear him, he ran through him helmet in the numbers. Its how people have been taught to hit since they were younger, I remember being taught that way. Who honestly wants to play defense any more? Not only do you have to be concerned with getting the man with the ball down but you have to be concerned with how you tackle him, and God forbid that player puts his head down and runs into yours because its your fault for not moving your head in time and its a helmet to helmet hit. You can't touch a receiver after 5 yards ever, but if that receiver some how pushes off of you or the Quarterback throws a piss poor pass 5 yards behind you and the receiver has to come back to catch it well thats pass interference on you as well.

As a defensive player you have everything going against you, and everyone watching you and lord help it if you hit a player too hard because that will be a flag because a referee doesnt want to get in trouble with the league thats trying to implement a safer game. Even though thats how kids are being taught to hit, and tackle going all the way back to pee wee football. So after 15-20 years of being taught one way now you get to the NFL and theyre saying you're doing it wrong? Good luck. Oh and by the way you cant hit a quarterback in the leg, the helmet, or the chest. they have a strike zone from the waist to the belly button anything below or above and thats a flag.

I played football from sixth grade through my sophomore year in college. For the last half of that time I played safety (mostly strong safety). I was never taught to hit with the top of my head because: 1) it is against the rules and always has been, 2) it is dangerous for both players, and 3) you can get juked without having your head up. If anyone was taught to hit a player with the top of his head, his coach didn't know what he was doing.

Besides all of that, Harrison's hit was on a QB, and he should no better than to go high on a QB at any point.

And one more thing, it wasn't that Harrison's hit was hard. It was that it was illegal. You can hit the opponent as hard as you would like...but NEVER with the top of your helmet.

Just watched the end of the Arizona State- U of Arizona game (I'm a ASU graduate so I have a rooting interest there despite hating college football). I just want to know how the fuck a kicker (who comes for a long line of kickers in his family) can kick an extra point so low it hits one of his own linemen in the ass!?

Considering he was a U of A bum, I'm extremely happy he did. But considering that was the 2nd extra point that was missed (the 1st is why the game went to OT and was blocked), I do fear for his safety. Those people down there are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

I'm really hoping the LA can pull a win tonight against Dallas tonight. Though, Dallas has played poorly so far, losing their first two games.

ok so Auburn or Oregon ? i am big SEC fan ofc, but i saw Oregon in person this year, it is like auburn might not know what to do with a real challenge?

and as to field goal hitting line men.. it is called a "soccer style" kick

I can't believe Dallas beat Indy. :snooty:
Brett Favre took over Peyton Manning's body and that is why Peyton is throwing picks left and right. Also for once the Sunday Night Football game didn't have a team from the NFC east or AFC east, but man that Ravens and Steelers game lived up to the hype of game of the week, I can't wait to see the Monday Night Football game tomorrow night.

Wow talking about a one sided affair on this monday night game, also I'm no longer eligible for the 5th place playoff in my league :( what a shitty fantasy football season for me this year
