There's a model on here called spookfox. Spook? That's offensive. What if I was black?

Is that a racist word? I don't even know it. I'm so sick of this whole " I take offense to that word" shit.

The trending topics on Twitter today were pretty outrageous too.

hypothetical offenses are funny to me. what if..... if if was a 5th, we'd all be drunk. spook went out with the 50s, nigga is more accepted if your talking about black people. kinda like charlies relating to the Viet Cong. when I think of spook, it makes me think of ghosts or in relation to a girls model name, maybe she would be goth-ish...

Most blacks wouldn't even know spook and other terms are racist. Most are too dumb. Not that most white people would know it either. As Eva said it's pretty archaic these days.

This song keeps getting deleted on youtube if it's uploaded by it self. If you do a clip of it with you in it it's apparently okay.

"Not that most white people would know it either."

If you're going to quote me quote me in full bb. I've joked calling black friends of mine a spade, jig and other names for black people and not one of them ever knew what it was besides one guy who is a few years older then me. What I find hysterical about this is that you're black saying what I said was offensive when I said the same thing for whites right after it (which you conveniently ignored). Can you honestly say you have heard of spook, spade or jig before? Be completely honest here. You thought spade was a suit in a deck of cards. Admit.

I knew spook was an offensive term, but that may be because I am old

I think people get way too uptight about political correct phrasing. I do not ever agree with or use derogatory terms, but I have yet to meet or have one black friend that prefers to be called African American. Black is how all the people I know would describe themselves.

Why are people dumb because they were never taught about a "racist" term? I knew the phrase cause I grew up in the south with some ignorant rednecks, some wiggers and a few thugs. It's stupid to say color, except if your trying to describe a person and there are more than 1 person that it could be, like a person in a crowd type situation.

I have the ignorant mook/drama queen on ignore. He also brags about being a forever basic and thinks models are unworthy of his tips.

Excellent usage of the word "Spook":

Note that this was supposed to be 1955. It's not really a popular word nowadays.

Awesome song from an awesome show. Avenue Q is like if Sesame Street fucked South Park and had a bastard child.

There's a new play on Broadway called "The Book of Mormon". It's exactly like Avenue Q fucked South Park and had a bastard child. Because it's created by a partnership between the Avenue Q writer and Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

You aren't old. Old enough to know the term sure. I'm younger then you and known since I was a teen.

They're dumb because I don't speak Spanish but I still know gringo is a phrase said to a lot of whites. Being cultured is good. Reverse racism is huge in the south. Black friend of mine went to Georgia and he even said it was fucked up.

There should be a genocide for wiggers.

Yea a thread made as a joke off of some one's name makes me ignorant. Shut up honky (I can call you a honky because I'm white). Prime example of how there always has to be at least one homosexual bringing up fail in one of my threads just because I am a troll. Get off my dick kid. And to answer your statement they are unworthy. I don't pay people to talk to me. They talk to me because they want to. If you didn't get a clue pencil dick every thread I make gets more views then 95 percent of the threads on this section.

I too was familiar with most of those terms and I too grew up here in the south. That said, I personally don't feel the south is that much worse than the northeast. We're just more open with our prejudices. *We don't use the whole tongue-in-cheek approach when dealing with someone who we don't like. We yell it out for everyone to hear! That said, I personally don't consider myself racist. Slightly jaded by my upbringing in a predominately white area? Perhaps... maybe even likely but by that I guess what I mean is I definitely notice race even if I don't consider it an issue. It's simply a characteristic that can be used to help distinguish people from one another.

Now... let's see who is going to try and twist my words and label me a racist?

*We is used to describe Southerners as a homogeneous group devoid of any variation. Some might call it a sweeping generalization.

It's not, meaning depends on context.

If you were black, you probably wouldn't see an innocuous username as an opportunity for race-baiting.
The OP was a joke captain obvious.

That's usually what happens with some one who doesn't like homosexuality. They're labeled a homophobe for not supporting the issue. It's only a matter of time before some one labels you a racist.

I just realized... THIS is why you should totally watch some Boondocks. Uncle Ruckus (no relation) would teach you ALL the great racial slurs.

It's a pity your words weren't twisted in the least. What happened with you on the other hand is that in an attempt at... something (maybe being humorous) you made a statement mentioning you have an uneasiness with using urinals due to a perceived desire of other men to see your penis. Said statement provided adequate cause for speculation.

That didn't provide speculation. That wasn't the only reason I don't use urinals. But as previously stated in that thread just because I don't want some one to possibly look at my dick doesn't make me a homophobe. How ever I don't think what you said makes you a racist.

If you have to preface a statement with "i'm not racist but..." It's probably racist. Saying you're jaded is understandable, just try not to let it make you hate.

Saying group A is dumb and group B is mostly dumb is not saying "the same thing" about the two groups. When phrased as "Group A doesn't get it because they are dumb. Not that most of group B gets it either." Implies that group B is typically seen as smarter. We expect group A to be dumb. Group B's being dumb comes as an afterthought and is also qualified with the word "most" suggesting that not all of group B is as dumb as group A.

"Most people don't get it because they are dumb." would be stating that everyone is too dumb to get it. Don't know how you meant it but that is how it comes across so it is not required to take it out of context to see it that way.

Personally I always liked listening to Richard Pryor go on about how there were no good racial slurs for white people. I always kinda thought he was right about that.

And Boondocks is awesome.

Cracka, honkey, pastie, and white out aren't good ones? I love racism comedy, its funny, esp if its not strictly one race or another...Pryor and Katt Williams are my favs LOL

I loved this bit from Zach Galifinikas' last SNL hosting gig.

Not an exact quote but goes something like this:

"I started using Axe body spray. However, I live in a black neighborhood and they call it Ask.

If you just laughed at that joke, you're racist"

I assume this was partially directed towards me because I believe I was the only one who mentioned being jaded. By being jaded I basically mean my preferences when it comes to who I befriend may tend to be influenced with having grown up in a mostly white area. I also say I am jaded because I tend to specify race when describing someone when I feel it is useful.

As for hating, I hate people in general for a plethora of reasons and while I find some of my reasons are more prevalent in one race or another, I try to judge each person separately... sorta. I'm skeptical of everyone till they prove they don't qualify for my stupid list.

Yes. I was actually turned onto it by a couple of former roommates who said I had to watch it after some jokes about how they were going to send me out if the cops ever showed up. I was the only white guy of the 5 people living in the house. >_>

Lol no shit it is kinda useful when describing someone....

Cop: "So what did the guy look like?"

You: "Well, he was shorter than average, he had short straight black hair, a kind of tanned almost golden complexion, dark eyes, and his eyes were...I dunno...kind of elongated sideways..."

Cop: "Ok so we have an average height asian male..."

You: "No I think he was hispanic"

Cop: "We have an average height hispanic male..."
