So someone stole all my earnings and sent it to themselves via crypto. Stripchat has not been helpful at all and I think it has to be an employee to bypass the payment change verification. Help! Stripchat is horrible. All of you who have your accounts suspended, you're not missing out. Or, I'm thinking I should start bending the rules too since they royally fuck you over and don't care.

Maybe @Stella_SC can help.
She's trying, but even if she's unsuccessful, I'm grateful that she speaks English and understands what I'm trying to explain. I feel kind of bad, but I started calling support morons and dipshits, because they are and because I am so frustrated with this endless circle of messages going nowhere. Seriously StripChat, hire half as many Americans as wherever you're outsourcing your support and I wouldn't be so frustrated wanting to put daggers in my eyes with the dumb ass responses I'm getting. A.I. would be better than the way they are handling this.

You think a stripchat employee targeted your account specifically? Why would they pick your account if they decided to go rogue? Did you make 100k or something?

Did you check your email account login history? Perhaps your email was compromised as well.
$31,845. I'm going to try not to bitch you out bc I'm annoyed, but let's see if you can follow jingle bells. I own my domain email, but it is not active right now. Therefore NO ONE can access that email, which is why I told Stripchat support to CHANGE MY EMAIL ADDRESS BECAUSE I CANNOT ACCESS IT RIGHT NOW. I let it expire and they want like $200 to reactivate it. So it's sitting in my godaddy cart. NO ONE has access to that email and the only people who knew I didn't have access was STRIPCHAT after I told them to change the email about 55 times. As you know, you need access to the email if you want to change it.

When you change your payout method on ANY CAM SITE, they verify the payment change, if not double verify through an authenticator app. How can someone bypass that? IF YOU'RE AN EMPLOYEE. Trust me, I've done the research and I think most of the employees are outsourced out of India...they may as well be anyway. It was just an easy set up for them. They didn't change my email when I asked and they took my next payout. They just didn't know I own the domain

but thank you for your obvious suggestion of checking my email...I did chat with GoDaddy and I use 2 factor authentication with everything and assumed they would verify when the payment setting was changed. If you have any actual GOOD suggestions, I'm here and I'm dying to know

Letting a domain expire that you use for business email is crazy dangerous, have you checked MX records for the domain to see if someone modified it? Did GoDaddy give you any useful information?

You said 2 factor auth for everything even stripchat where you have the enter the 6 digit code? If so did stripchat say if those settings were changed?

There's plenty of bigger accounts to target than 32k seems unlikely that a rogue employee would bother with your account.

It wasn't 32k and my dnssec updated, etc etc, I bought ALL THE THINGS and it only recently expired. I know for A FACT it was an employee. It happened right after I told them to change the email bc it was deactivated. I DIDNT ENTER A 6 DIGIT CODE BC I DIDNT FING CHANGE MY PAYMENT SETTINGS!!!! I looked at my account and tried to post the pay log for the scammer, but it was deleted. All of these questions are relevant and the only other person who could change this info is AN EMPLOYEE. Obviously, there's bigger accounts, but use your brain. I'm not even going to go into detail why that's an irrelevant statement. Sorry I'm going to be a big bitch unless you tell me something that makes sense other than "OH THERES BIGGER ACCOUNTS" Seriously?! stfu. I also saw another i.p login to my SC right after I spoke to support. I just assumed they were fixing what I told them to fix.

IF I TELL YOU TO CHANGE MY EMAIL FOR MY ACCOUNT, DO IT. IF THEY WOULD HAVE DONE WHAT I ASKED, THIS WOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED. ITS TAKING SO LONG TO FIX TOO AND I WILL FOREVER TALK SHIT AND HATE STRIPCHAT FOR THIS. I WILL NEVER LET THIS GO. DISGUSTING SCHEMING THIEVES

Something tells me your discourse with StripChat Support isn’t going well at the moment because of one particular reason.
Well, you made me laugh and it's a combination of simple and extremely important things. I cannot stand them!! Every other cam site is so helpful and super quick with everything. For as shitty as they are, we should have a bigger payout. 17 times that I've counted....Why is that so difficult? Unless I'm allowed to have 2 accounts to stream with, they should have deleted that account a long time ago. I have a feeling I'm going to have to upload my social and my i.d. for them to finally realize that account needs to be deleted. I started making an account 2+ years ago and forgot about it..never uploaded anything.

I haven't even really gotten into the theft with them bc I'm trying to get them to wrap their heads around deleting an old account I never finished. Email and username is all I filled out. One support guy responded "Your account is in good standing and doesn't need to be deleted" KILL. ME. NOW. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I didn't say you entered the code I was simply confirming you have it setup. There's no auth code for payment settings that I can remember just the initial login. Did you ask stripchat if they removed 2 factor authentication? When you say fixing what you told them to fix that was just changing the email right?

Dont suppose you made a note of the IP by chance?

What did they say when you asked them about how the payment information got changed if no one clicked the email link?

There is hunny buns...on every single cam site. It's not necessarily a code, but it's some sort of verification...No site, that I'm aware of, allows you to just change your payout settings without verification. Stripchat definitely does not allow it, unless you're employed by them and want to steal so you bypass verification.

How can I change my payment settings?

From our main page by clicking on your Tokens icon in the upper right corner and selecting "Payment Settings" from the dropdown menu.

For security reasons, your personal information in the "Payment Settings" will be hidden. If you want to view or change any of your payout details, you can do it by clicking on "View & Change Details". We will then send a link to your verified email address, that you will have to click on in order to proceed.

aaaand since there is no email to send a link to...I just need to be patient. I know they're investigating, bc it doesn't take 2 weeks to change an email. I don't think they would tell me if it was an employee either, but it's very obvious. Apparently to you lol, but it's the only logical explanation, otherwise a hacker would go after someone with more money and a compromised email...that no one would know about unless a model told bc you're support. By the way, Stripchat messes up A LOT. A friend of mine's account was band bc they said she had fake documents. Regardless of whether that is true or not, Stripchat still failed bc she's had the account for months. She's not a friend friend, but she very well could have been a minor streaming for months. SC is the only site that has minors who invite me to privates! I report them and nothing happens! they dont even need to make another account. Its just all fishy. Anyway, ill update when I find out more info

I know it sends an email link I just meant no 6 digit auth code. When you try to login to the account like say in incognito or something do you still get the 6 digit prompt?

It is unusual that someone got passed both a 6 digit auth code to login and an email verification link to change payout information.

Anyway, ill update when I find out more info
Ok good luck

Depending on the amount in question, why not just pay godaddy the $200 to reactivate the domain/email and be done with it. Seems like it might be worth taking a small financial loss in order to offset a potentially much larger financial win?

Stripchat changed my payment method...

I'm not familiar with Stripchat; how do you know this specific information about your cashout being sent to a crypto account without being able to view payout details?

That's why in my previous post above, I was suggesting to simply pay godaddy the $200 in order to reactivate your domain/email. At least you would then be able to gain access (via email verification) to view the payout details; and possibly solve other issues with your accounts that would require email access/verification links.

I could do that, or stripchat can just do their job? I own the domain. I just need a new email provider, which I'm not wanting to do. Even if I activate it the email won't be there, bc all emails are being sent back. It's irrelevant to someone over riding the email verification

Stripchat is an EU company based in Cyprus so that's not surprising that for most English wont be their first language.

Thats not how security works. Your account is tied to your email so if you loose access to your email you shouldn't loose access to your account but you may not be able to log in or accept support requests. Some sites have additional identity checks such as a mobile phone they can call or security questions you can answer but most don't have to implement this and it's your responsibility to make sure you maintain access to your email.

So someone stole all my earnings and sent it to themselves via crypto
If this is the case you can track any payments made of your account as they are noted in a public ledger. If you know the crypto wallet address they are sent from. It wouldn't make sense for Stripchat to "steal" money from your account at all. Stripchat allocates tokens to you which can be exchanged for money so if Stripchat really wanted to "steal" your funds they would just reset your tokens to 0. There is a chance a rogue employee did this for their own personal benefit but it seems incredibly unlikely especially since sites like Stripchat are required to keep detailed records of transfers in audit logs.

Unfortunately you haven't really helped yourself. It's likely because of the emails you sent calling staff "dipshits" etc.. they banned you anyway and once you're banned they don't have to refund any tokens at all.

Remember as well that paying out frequently is a good idea. If you leave large sums of money in tokens in a virtual currency that is worthless until you transfer it out there is always a risk that it wont get refunded if something goes wrong. Affiliate stats on sites like Stripchat can easily identify earning accounts and target them as well. Letting a domain expire is even more dangerous because a user could claim that domain and try to impersonate you. Nearly all domain registrars give you a grace period and notify you a month before expiry as well.

What to do now?

  1. Stop insulting staff. If a rogue employee did steal funds other employees shouldn't be harassed as a result of that.
  2. Claim the domain & email again. This is the only way you will be able to prove you are the owner of your account. They might also be able to verify via your ID documents but it's not a legal requirement for them to do so.
  3. If you have the crypto wallet address the payment was sent out to you can check the public ledger for more information: https://www.blockchain.com/explorer by typing the address into the search bar
  4. Ask Stripchat more details about why your account was disabled if you don't know.
  5. Accept that if you where banned for a valid reason. IE insulting staff etc... Stripchat may just not refund your tokens or re-activate your account.

Thats WONDERFUL except I didn't lose access to my email. I still own it, I deactivated it. I only bitched them out after requesting for them to change my email many many times over the past month AND 32 days later they finally did!! This entire shit show is not how security works at all. I'm not going to get into my domain bc it's irrelevant, but thanks for letting me know what usually happens. I misspoke BECAUSE ITS IRRELEVANT. I own the domain. I need to get a new email subscriber like google or live, but I'm not going to. Not yet anyway and that's ok. This way no one can accuse me of someone hacking that email or whatever other b.s. I do not care if they're in Timbuktu. Do at least as good as your competitors or take less of a percentage to make up for it...but I hope they know that I will never let this go, ever..or until they pay me back. Until then all my SC users get a free phone # instead of privates. 😘

I know it sends an email link I just meant no 6 digit auth code. When you try to login to the account like say in incognito or something do you still get the 6 digit prompt?
Stripchat only gives you a 2fa prompt if both the device and ip are not known (from what I have seen, and if I remember right, I asked Charlie about it and she confirmed, could be mis-remebering that though), new deivce from known ip, no prompt, new ip from known device no prompt. For example I can turn on a VPN and access my account without getting prompted (same with browser, I can change to a new browser thats never been used with sc and not get a prompt) and I can also use a device from my regular ip and not get a prompt. It's honestly the most minimalistic 2fa implementation I have seen.

Doesn't act like that for me. For example right now I can login to my stripchat account on my laptop without 2fa but the moment I try in incognito it prompts me, so I enter the 6 digit code in incognito and I check the box to trust this browser I then close and reopen incognito and I login and it prompts me again for 2 factor authentication. IP does not appear to be a factor, just looks like your normal cookie implementation.

They might have updated it then, it's been a while since I logged in. I remember talking to charlie about it because it seemed odd to me, I was pushing for either a setting where the user can set a security level or prompting for 2fa on every login because if you're not prompted every time then you're account is still at risk if someone gets remote access to the machine.

I see. Is it possible to outline exactly whats happened because it's still a bit confusing. Can you explain when your account was de-activated, why it was de-activated, when you checked the pay log and why you think the money was sent out using a crypto payment? There are a lot of missing parts at the moment so I was basing my info on what you had sent.

There are a lot of ways hackers can steal your credentials and bypass security even 2FA without your phone. If the change of payment settings happened right after you logged in for example it could be a malicious client script injected to change your payment details and withdraw money. This would bypass the 2FA since you're already logged in and the sites content security policy seems non-existent. Check your chrome / firefox extensions and your computer for malware just incase. It's unlikely but not impossible.

If you didn't have access to your account at the time for e.g. how did you have access to the payment logs or was your account de-activated after these funds where processed out of your account.
Of course it's impossible to deny that a Stripchat employee transferred tokens out of your account but it just seems so unlikely. Companies are meant to have a principle of least privilege so no employee should have access to methods of sending tokens out of your account only adding or removing tokens. You can definitely still push for audit logs of payments. They're your details so if you have the correct email & can verify any other checks they require they have to hand this information over by law.

Hello @Noellesmfc

Please note that I can see all of your communications with our Support team.

I can also see that Support has completed the tasks that you have asked them to:
-they deleted the account that you do not wish to use
-they reactivated the account that you do wish to use
-they changed the email on the account that you want to use

Now Support has given you clear instructions on what you need to do next (please refer to their last email to you).
-Completion of these next steps will result in your payouts being unfrozen and will allow you the ability to work on our platform again
