I doubt that they're offering 50% . this 50 is a "at worst" number as one can buy tokens with 39% daily cut off and they have also taxes and salaries to pay...

I think it was around 11am MST today that my room count and potential viewers dropped to absolutely nothing. Streamate's own homepage still seemed fine, though I didn't look closely, but I noticed that Pornhub was only showing three pages of models as online, and I didn't come up in a search for myself, even as offline. It seemed to resolve after a little while, but my traffic never bounced back, so I have no idea what was up. I just know that I'd like it to stop.

Models get 5 cents per token, but the price for tokens ranges from 8-11 cents. So if the users is paying the highest amount, which is when they only buy 100tks with credit you get 45%, but it's 62.5% if they buy in bulk and get the highest discount.

ok yea, so Im gonna say 50% on avg (or higher)... and SM is 35% Has anyone heard of ever getting more from SM? What would you say is a similar site with better payout to models? if SM was closer to the norm of 50% id be so happy!
When I get a $1 tip on sm I only make $0.35
I have always thought about working for a "fair" company. Not just online here, but in everyday life. My bosses always took advantage of me and my work ethic and personal skills. Thats why I can not work for anyone else like that again. Miserable life!

I've been on SM for 5 years, and the only time I have gotten more, is during bonus and contest weeks. It is a bit crazy to know that if we make a grand in a week, we are making them 2. So I feel ya. However, I have always had great traffic with them, so I'm gonna stick it out. I have seen them advertise on cable and such, so I just assume the extra money goes to advertisement. The only other site I ever tried was MFC though, and I didn't really give it very long, so I really don't know much about any other site. My placement has been good, and have a lot of followers on SM, so it's unlikely that I would ever switch, however 35% is lower.

If members sign up from your cam models link you get an additional % when they spend on you + what they spend on another model. I think you also make 50% on video sales as well. From the outside 35% looks bleak but I make far more money and consistently at that on SM than on my years on token sites that I ignore the % now. I just do not have the patience for token sites anymore. I’d rather have 35% of a paycheck on a site that’s easier for me to cam on, offers flexibility in schedule and far less stressful than a higher percent and a smaller check due to not being able to cam as much/it being super slow which I would find so difficult to power through on cb/mfc,

It is actually possible to make a lot more than 35% through referred members or affiliate marketing (up to I believe 80% if all the parameters fit exactly but don’t quote me on it.) Also if you use your cammodels link when promoting your cam room offsite, you make 40% extra when your referred users spend on you and 20% of what they spend on others.

I know 35% may seem like highway robbery but the way SM is able to consistently have new and paying members is because the way it works is through affiliate marketing/white labels. There are probably thousands of other sites that all feature SM cams. Like Pornhub is probably their biggest affiliate white label and SM pays a huge % to these affiliates. The payback of you not getting the % instead is constantly having new members who want to spend because there’s traffic coming so many different sources. If it was just internal traffic on SM, it wouldn’t be nearly the same.

I worked on another private based site that offered 60% to models (the old KinkLive). Yes the pay was great but the site ended up tanking completely because the lack of continuously new paying traffic. I’m so grateful for SM because no matter what I can pretty much log on and consistently make money. The thing about SM too is that you don’t even need a following or to log on all the time to do decently on there. So yeah, the cut does suck but the payback is honestly great tbh.

Plus, there's less of an expectation to be nice or chat for free compared to token sites. I can be openly rude to stupid people/assholes and still get lots of shows, which is kinda awesome.

Yes, tbh the only time I got a warning from SM was for being too nice, never for the opposite. Basically the traffic, and pretty much guaranteed income logging on, plus the fact that I can choose to do literally nothing for free, makes it worth it for me. Plus, if I was on a site where I got more, I would prob have to lower my rates, to be competitive anyways. So that combined w lower traffic would mean I earned less. Plus I feel like SM is geared more toward the busy professional male, which in this context, is more who I want to deal with. Sure there are tons of nice people out there, who I could "get to know", and shoot the shit with for hours, but I need to make money, and maintain a high hourly rate. Given the physically demanding nature of what I do, and not being able to work 8 hours straight.
I get it, that some guys love the connection, and "getting to know each other", but to me, that creates more of an attachment than works for me, given the context. Sorry to rant, but I would rather have a bunch of "bitch", "cold", "too expensive" tags, and make 3 to 4 times per streaming hour, than a bunch of tags saying what a great girl I am, but be averaging 1/4 the money, and struggling to eat. I am quoting those percentages because those are the actual real numbers I got, when I tried running things, the 2 different ways. I definitely don't mean to upset anyone or anything, but it is business, and I have never had one of these guys (who love to chat for ever in free chat) be there when my monthly bills are due. Just to point out the positives of Streamate, and the way that the site is structured, how it is more impersonal etc.

those tags make you money too. there are members that want a cold bitch who is too expensive. so when someone shoots you with a negative, you can be sure there is someone else who is attracted to that "negative" aspect. i regularly get a member acting outraged over my hairy armpits only to be taken to exclusive immediately so they can stare at them for about 20 minutes. streamate's traffic is amazing like that.

awesome thanks everyone! so true! the traffic has always been amazing on sm, sometimes I try to go on other sites, but I always end back on sm (I think I need to raise my rates a bit again too!) and Ive gotten some amazing customers from there!

Awh thanks, I've just been doing this a while, and at first I experimented w running my room different ways. I wanted to please people and get along w everyone, but I quickly realized that a lot of these guys would walk all over me, and take total advantage if I did. So I just genuinely really care about other models, especially when starting out, because I was naive and had to learn some hard, fast truths, when I was new. I think when a model has new status, or has not been around a while, the real creepers tend to come out of the woodwork and take advantage. It's not cool. I care about people, and I wanna be supportive

They not banned because they're run by people in SM themselves or in association with porn studios since they often use pornstars for the cam loops and operate at 1.99 which I think is SM currently lowest rate. I've only ever seen one disappear and that was because the difference in the pornstar tattoos and boobjob couldn't be overlooked any longer. The other will just go offline for a few weeks then return under a different account name. Like 'rheareal' been operating for a few years now and switch names 4 times last I paid attention to it. I don't even remember the pornstar name anymore she's been retired since 2016 or so.

They're not exactly bots tho, is someone real typing/Banning call outs. Probably some guy running 20 fakes at a time or something. But yeah they're run by sm so they ain't going to let you have some of that cheap passive income.

It's not ILLEGAL it's at more unethical and disrespectful to the actual models on the site. That said, ALL camsites would love to make a product that removes the cost of REAL models from the platform it's an eventually that when the uncanny value is ultimately crossed you will not be able to separate the real from the AI and the site will make maximum profit because they won't need to pay models. Yes these accounts breach their own TOS but since the accounts are OWNED by the sites often they sit above the rules since conducting these 'tests' will have a long term payout for them.

The truth of the matter is if a member ever feels 'tricked' by these fake accounts SM is very quick at refunding the money spent on them and that's why you don't get more backlash about it. It's not going to be the member's complaints that will get rid of these account it would take the models and that won't happen because of the risk to them challenging the site that they count on for income.

I've noticed now more than ever, members are trying to get me to dirty talk in free, and trying to be slick about it. This is my pet peeve right now. Example, dude goes "I just wanna shove my big black cock in your mouth and have you drooling all over my balls." My response: "Mmmm I'm thinking you need to take me exclusive because now you've got that on my mind" Him: "What exactly is that?" Me: Yeah, nope, not repeating all that in free chat." Him: *Leaves.

I so agree that being nice or too entertaining in free chat is a bad idea in most cases. If you can make that work for you, cool. But that's one reason I won't do gold shows. It only attracts freeloaders who jerk off to your hustle and don't tip towards the show. What gets me shows, is looking available and alert in free chat (not being on my phone or on ACF like I am now lol) but not entertaining. I'm making more since I've been more assertive and bitchy.

It appears that Streamate took my advice. Models who are in exclusive are no longer hidden; they're simply moved to the end of the list. Prerecorded (fake) accounts have also been bumped all the way to the bottom/last page, regardless of whether or not they've suckered someone into a private/exclusive show.

Hey, y'all! I'm trying to get approved for Streamate, and hours after submitting my application I realized I wanted a different username from the one I used on my old cam site, since I'm wanting to try out a very different schtick/persona going forward. So I messaged support to ask them for a different username, since it seems that has to be changed on their end.

I also had my VPN active (because it was recommended by my old cam site for personal security) when I submitted the application. Then I saw here on ACF that there's potential for Streamate to reject me based on my IP not matching my stated location. So I sent another message to support clarifying that lol.

Do you think either of these issues will delay things much? Should I try to contact Liz to smooth things over/speed things along, and, if so, how do I get in touch with her?

hi guys... right now im in a sticky situation where i was in a studio and left 2 weeks ago. so the studio hasnt been paying me, at first it was "their passport expiring" now its just excues on excuses etc.... it been 5 weeks since they last paid me. ive been emailing streamate nonstop about it and they seem to be turning a blind eye... all they say is "please be patient"... i even told them about other fraudulent activities and wrongful things that the studio does and they choose to ignore that n kpep telling me to "please be patient".

is there anything i can do in this situation??? i feel a bit helpless
