Hello all, new to the board and here with a question. A friend is a model, and I have been trying to help her get her cam squared away. The problem is really sub-par frame-rates on MFC. On all the other sites her cam looks pretty decent, but on MFC is seems like it bogs down horribly and the frame-rate ends up at like a 2. I don't think it's a bandwidth issue, because like I said it works fine with the other sites, even while working simultaneously on MFC. Deactivating splitcam and running directly doesn't seem to improve the problem either. Splitcam is set for a 640 x480 resolution at the moment, with the frame-rate at 15. CPU usage is around 50% with 3 sites open. Her cam is an older Sony digital camcorder, non HD, running via usb connection. Anybody have any ideas about a setting I might be missing?

By the way, I must give some props to Amber for running a cool little forum. This is a subject that was really in need of a decent forum. Seeking help is not always so easy when you are not willing to divulge what exactly you are trying to do LOL!

Make sure she's not using the "beta video" feature. It kills my FPS.

Well we tried that and it didn't help at all. Nothing seems to help. Thanks for the advice though Amber.
