Russia blocking MyFreeCams?

I have a Russian model friend that can not log into MFC any more. she can from her phone but not her internet company. I heard from twitter another russian model is having a similar problem.

Now the question is if the russian Government itself is blocking access to Myfreecams. It looks like this is possible.

Does anyone know anything about this? I think it just started.

Well the screen was in russian... so hard for me to read. haha but yes it did look like a typical access denied page.

I've now heard from 3 russian models who have been blocked. 2 are using VPN to get around it.

I think most, you have to pay for to get unlimited usage otherwise they only allow X amount of data per month which would get eaten up very fast broadcasting or watching broadcasts.
Opera has a builtin VPN, though, if you're willing to give that browser a crack - which has come along way and is very good.

Alternatively, have a quick google for Top X (top 10) VPNs and see what prices are good.
I personally use PureVPN

Yes I have 3 model friends in Russia dealing with this and know of some others. VPN is needed now for MFC but no other sites as far as I'm aware of. And yeah, the free limit goes pretty quick. Two of my friends are using TunnelBear and that seems to be going ok. I personally use NordVPN from time to time and that seems to work well.

Just a pain that the models need to go through all this. They already have a difficult enough job. sigh...

If they're really filtering MFC, changing the IP address is not going to work.

There was an argument in the lounge about this a couple of nights ago, someone was claiming this story had something to do with it and there was no intentional blocking. Someone else mentioned the Brazzer's block from a year ago (along with youporn/pornhub), so if it turns out they starting to block it, not the first time.

As best as I can tell, from talking to 5+ models/friends in different locations, it is only MFC being blocked. One day it was fine, then the next day 3 models from different locations were unable to login and I'm helping them learn about VPN.

Why just MFC? I don't know. Maybe someone was on the site and saw something they didn't like. I THINK MFC was added to an "extremist website list".

It returns a hit. I could be wrong of course, but I BELIEVE this hit is the blocking address. A search for "myfreecams.com" is does NOT find a hit. Just the ip Address. That's why I think that if myfreecams could change their ip address it would get around the blocking.

Ok, reporting back. Looks like problem was just on my side. Made a quick test. MFC is fine. Cb and lj work fine as well. But I'm going to sleep so I'll leave further tests to other members. Anyway. I'm not a model so I don't know what happens on models' side.

I can't even log into MFC anymore on Chrome/Chromium and expect halfay decent performance without freezes, etc. But, Firefox works fine this time. L:ast time, it was the other way. I'm wondering if Chrome had an upgrade that broke Flash on MFC as HTML5 is becoming the new standard everywhere else.

Russia has banned two of the Internet’s most beloved adult webcam services. Say goodbye, Russians, to Bongacams and Chaturbate, respectively the world’s 58th most popular website (according to Alexa.com) and the seventh most popular pornographic website (according to SimilarWeb).

This week, Russia’s media censor, Roskomnadzor, started enforcing an October 2017 order by a court in Yaroslavl that names another 20 adult websites. The case against these websites was brought by the acting prosecutor general in Yaroslavl’s Kirov district.

The appropriately named services Bongacams and Chaturbate feature live-streamed individual and group acts of sexual activity, where visitors can join free chat rooms and “tip” actors, or pay money for private shows.

Not necessarily. There shouldn't be such a noticeable difference when using a VPN. If there is, change your provider. I personally use OVPN; it works for me.

I'm more concerned with camsites refusing to allow broadcasters/viewers from the countries that have banned them. This is a shitty situation.

If it becomes an issue; They will probable setup their own proxy. There are lots of data centers where you can rent rack space.

Awesome, Russia imposes a sanction against itself. All the Ukrainian models (who are models because the Russian invasion crashed the economy so there are few decent jobs) pick up the slack and make more money.

I'm pretty sure that the Russian blocking has nothing to do with FOSTA. As best as I understand it there was a Russian Court ruling back in 2017 and for whatever reason they've now just started enforcing it.

VPN's are working for now for Russian ladies, but I think the bigger concern is if there is a blocking on Russian models getting paid. I heard a rumor a while back that some change was coming to their banking system but I could never find more information on that.

The other big concern is if Skype starts blocking adult shows. That's scary as that's good money for many Russian Models.
