So I watched the movie Hitchcock with Anthony Hopkins the other day 4 the first time, and it reminded me of this rumor an older hooker told me many years ago.
Hitchcock used to have an assistant go pick up a hooker off the street. He would bring her into this dark lit room that had nothing but an open casket in it. Inside would be Alfred hitchcock with his face painted all pale, in a sleeping position with his eyes closed to look like he was dead. then after a few minutes of the hooker looking around, getting a bit scared and confused, Alfred would open his eyes and slowly start to rise and sit up in the coffin looking straight at her. To which she would scream and try to open the door, only to find out it was locked, making her panic and scream even more. All the while Hitchcock is jerking off watching he in terror.

So I was wondering, has anyone else heard this rumor? Do you think it might be true, or just BS?

It sounds like "one of those stories." Hitchcock was unusual in many ways for a rich Hollywood director, like his fear of cops and eggs. lol But he was married to the same woman for 54 years and it's said that she wore the pants. lol

Truth is often stranger than fiction, but I don't see how this wouldn't be wide spread. I've never heard of it before.

And Nodling, just because the wife ruled the roost doesn't mean he didn't have his kinks and wasn't allowed to enjoy them. This is masturbation, not infidelity; though I guess, one could argue it's also assault in a way.

I imagine a corner of prostitutes all hanging out smoking cigarettes, they've all been caught by Hitchcock's guy before, so they send the new girl on the block as a hazing ritual. And they all laugh and tell their stories as the car pulls away.

Oh, I agree, but it just doesn't ring true...when it comes to scandalous sex (yeah yeah wanking) with strangers (the hookers) there's little chance of a secret being kept from the public. Also, the fact that Hitchcock was an offbeat director and did a heck of a lot of really odd films would probably increase the chance that someone would create a story out of whole cloth.

I was always skeptical of this story myself. I just so happen to be talking about how much I loved Hitchcock films one day to someone that happened to be a "Lady of the Night" (not that I look down on ppl who choose to go into that occupation or anything), and all of the sudden, she busts out with that story. Maybe I have a sick sense of humor, but I always found that rather funny.
But anyways, I had forgotten all about that until the other night when I saw that movie. Oh and by the way, if you're a Hitchcock fan... you sooooo need to see it! I loved it.

At Hitchcock's size, I doubt there was anything graceful about him rising slowly from a casket... I imagine it to be more of a "grunt/shift/shimmy/grunt/sigh" kind of movement. I think that alone would kill a little of the shock value... not to mention furiously fapping with one hand while trying to negotiate such a feat might be even more difficult.

See not to be a "negative Nelly" but I am not so sure simply because of physical issues Hitch had. There was no doubt in my mind that Hitch was and could be an oddball. The movie "The Girl" is a great explanation of his obsessive, infatuation with Tippy Headron (he really did never let her go , ruined her career).

But if you want to have a different insight into Hitch watch :Frost and Brooks What an Evening...very funny stuff.
Mel Brooks worked with Hitch on his script to High Anxiety.

Brooks explains that Hitch had an enormous appetite but was also in horrible physical condition and had been for years. He could barely walk and moving side to side was almost impossible for Hitch. So, Hitch getting a coffin setup and getting up in to it, sitting up and all that would have been well...a real nightmare physically for him.

Could I see him doing it as a one off or two off joke...sure he did have that side to him but even then it might be a stretch.

Once again could very well be an urban legend like "Rod Stewart getting his stomach pumped and them finding a Coke can worth of sperm in there" that sort of thing.

I would like to believe he did this at least once. Just so I wouldn't feel like a total asshole for laughing at the thought of some working girl dealing with a situation like this I reminded myself of all the creepy & terrible surprises cam to cam can/has brought me over the years. Not as bad as being trapped in a room with a would-be zombie, but pretty damn unsettling nonetheless.

The only rumor I ever heard about Hitchcock and his sex life was that he only ever had sex once and that was with his wife and that produced his daughter. Your rumor does not say he had sex with the prostitutes so it doesn't conflict with the only rumor I have heard.

I watched documentary about a former prostitute from the 60's and 70's(her name escapes me at the moment) and she also said this about Hitchcock or at least something very similar. She didn't mention the face paint or locking the doors but she said he would be whacking off in a coffin and the prostitutes were instructed to go look in the coffin and he would supposedly cum when he opened his eyes and caused them to run out screaming.
So yes I have heard this rumor but who knows if it is true or not.

I imagine that this story would have been propagated on some precursor to ACF. Probably in the private section for certified hookers.

I have some vague recollection about this rumour, but it seems to me that it would be fairly easy to find evidence of it on the internets if there was anything to it. The top hit on Google, however, leads to this thread. The most common rumour about Hitchcock is that he had no belly-button.

While googling, I came across this page on IMDb. http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0000033/quotes

Hitchcock appeared, for all his success, to have had a pretty good sense of humour about both his profession, and himself.

It's only a movie, and, after all, we're all grossly overpaid.
