For me: I haven't had anyone in my public chat pull the whole, "I rated and admired you five stars, pussy flash sweetie?" for a LOOONG time (honestly, I get the phrase "PAYPAL SKYPE U HAVE DOG!?!?" considerably more frequently) But even since realizing years ago that rate/admire had zero functional purpose I've always still invoked it fairly consistently since IMHO it's a "Call To Action".

When I ask people to rate/admire my profile many of them will actually go DO IT, and of that "*shrug*sure I'll do that, no sweat off my back" population a certain key percentage will actually stop and read my profile and come back with the slightly better understanding of whatever-it-is-I-say-I-do-here.

I'm not going to miss it, but I feel like the rate/admire system on MFC provided me with a really easy way to work the, "read my profile, damnit" suggestion (be it literal or subliminal) into my public performance.

So basically I'm not mourning the loss of it, or overwhelmed with the urge to high five over its demise. For me it served only the vaguest of purpose, but I didn't resent it.

I'm really solidly MEH on this one

No silly, obviously the most logical solution is to download some sort of "Vote Widget" and convince simple, innocent people to vote me "Queen Cyber Slut Of The Universe" and take it as deadly-serious as they previously did my rate/admire ratios.

I'm actually kind of sad. Not the ratings because those were kind of pointless, but I will miss the "admire" feature.

Every time you admired a model, it saved that model to the "admire" list. Which was great for models I liked but didn't know well enough too add to my friends list. A heads up from MFC that it was getting the axe would have been nice, so I could at least screencap the list beforehand. :sad10:

I saw it as the non-tippers camscore thing...they have no tokens so they rate and admire.

Honestly, I miss the admires, only because I would admire a model, && it was nice to be able to keep track of a models name behind the scenes with that... If I didn't want to add her to my profile faves, or my friends list. Now I can't do that. =/.

I'm glad it's gone! It confuses new models way too much, and I'm sick of explaining to people that reminding others to go rate and admire me in the MIDDLE of a show is equal to telling people to stop watching me in order to accomplish nothing.

Every time you admired a model, it saved that model to the "admire" list.

While I am glad it is gone (it took quite some convincing a friend that it did nothing) I will be missing it.

A few times I came across a model who had 50% rating with quite a few people having rated (Sat as a guest watching for a bit and found out she wouldn't do what her topic said when tipped)...so now I won't have a quick method of screening out certain models

It'd be good if myfreecams would create some sort of "favourites" list for those members who don't want to add a model to their friendslist-though honestly I don't see the issue with doing that, it's not like many models will abuse pm privileges or harass you. Maybe if you've tipped them quite a bit, but if you don't act chatty they'll soon give up. And surely if you tip them quite a bit sending pm's to them and seeing them when they're online isn't a big deal.

Most dudes who say they rate and admire don't even do it, and seeing as you can only do it once it was always annoying when dudes would say they've done it every time they're in the room as though they've done you such a major favour. I am so looking forward to when it eventually dies out (for I'm sure that most of the rate and admire dudes won't realise it's gone for a while).

If they were to bring out a rating system that'd work it'd absolutely have to be members who have spent over a certain amount on a model and shortly after they'd spent that amount, maybe with a little review section. Only problem with that is you'd get idiots who hadn't typed in a link for videos right having a meltdown, or members who's computer crashes while they're downloading videos then write a terrible review blaming the model. As much as I wouldn't mind seeing good feedback, I also really don't want to see negative feedback written publicly by idiots. Also some members seem to like to write quite graphic feedback. I'd rather not know in graphic detail about what they thought of me doing xyz and what they did to themselves whilst watching.

I'm pretty positive it has been included on any suggestions email I've sent in when they've asked for ACF feedback, and I can only imagine many other girls have suggested it directly, too.

I don't know what the hesitation would be. It's quite ridiculous that girls have to figure out for themselves how to code a button or place a hand made offline tip link on their profiles.

Why you'd take advice from the retards in there beats me lol, but from the couple of actually sensible responses the consensus was it served no purpose.

Over the years I can not even count the number of wonderful, good tipping members I've met you watched me as a guest for days, sometimes weeks. It's being able to actually enjoy the entirety of my time on cam and get to like me as a personality that made them want to go premium and tip.
There is a plethora of free pussy and porn out there, it's what watching for more than 10 minutes can bring you that makes MFC different. I think the number of converted prems would be substantially less if a time limit was in place... they would never get the opportunity to see WHY they should upgrade. IMO. :twocents-02cents:

Besides, guests don't bother anyone if they're muted in a busy room, and they can be company to models and a source of amusement if the room is quiet.

Exactly! I used to try and inform newer models who repeatedly asked for everyone to go rate and admire them that it really didn't do anything for their camscores, via PM. They either didn't believe me or got all sad, but usually both, so I stopped. Glad to see it gone. One less way for guests and basics to try and get one over on new models.
