Now if they could just replace it with a button to send the girl a tip...

Have you ever asked them to do that? They like us spending money, and that would make it easier for models and members, who are not very tech savvy.
I'm pretty positive it has been included on any suggestions email I've sent in when they've asked for ACF feedback, and I can only imagine many other girls have suggested it directly, too.

I don't know what the hesitation would be. It's quite ridiculous that girls have to figure out for themselves how to code a button or place a hand made offline tip link on their profiles.

Isn't this because they want to maintain that tips are gifts? An official Tip button right next to graphics for video sales or snapchat offers would give the impression the sale was endorsed and policed by MFC.

In the same way they are happy for a model to use tips in a countdown but couldn't provide an official countdown mechanism.

Offline tips aren't any less gifts than online tips. Having it coded into the default page would not mean anything other than that they were facilitating offline tips. MFC has shown zero inclination to discourage models from selling anything on their profile pages, no matter what the rules say.

On the other hand, having all tips count against a countdown would remove member's option not to have their tips count toward them, and having them only be, you know, gifts.

It would be reasonable to re-title an 'official' offline tip button as 'pay for your videos here'.
There's a subtle change of emphasis in a model providing such a link and MFC providing the mechanism.
Of course models can sell via their profile, however (as has been discussed for video hosting) MFC do not need to take any responsibility for the transaction.

If MFC provided a countdown mechanism it would be a trivial change to the UI to specify whether the tip was countdown or other. However this was merely an example of the type of enhancement which is often asked for but would go against MFC's official philosophy of tips are gifts.
Clearly this is very important to them as it makes any dispute resolution so much easier for themselves.

Maintaining that tips are only gifts and therefore MFC will not do anything if a member is scammed out of a purchase has been in the dust for quite some time now. MFC even released a newsfeed to the models a little over a year ago making sure they understand that going forward, they would be cracking the whip a bit more to ensure the system is not abused and products are delivered as promised. So... yeah, I don't think the "gifts" notion has much of an impact on MFC's stance of an offline tip button.

In fact, it is the only thing it says under "tips" in the rules for models Wiki.

I'm actually kind of sad. Not the ratings because those were kind of pointless, but I will miss the "admire" feature.

Every time you admired a model, it saved that model to the "admire" list. Which was great for models I liked but didn't know well enough too add to my friends list. A heads up from MFC that it was getting the axe would have been nice, so I could at least screencap the list beforehand. :sad10:

Leo came in the L10k the other day and asked if he should remove it. Those of use who bothered to answer said yes, because it is pointless.

Guess that was the heads up.
