That is correct.
Article I've read this morning stated 10-15. mill vids. Don't remember exactly now. Asked confirmation about that. If anyone one knows. Just curious. I mean talking about a great purge.

I don't think it's that many. In the search bar on PH it currently says search 2.9m videos, but before iirc it was around 11-13mArticle I've read this morning stated 10-15. mill vids. I 100% understand and am happy that changes are going to be happening. Because stuff like this is unacceptable.
The questions I am left with are. Where do models like myself who work on streamate go? Are they going after all of mindgeek or only PH? Is there any way to build a petition so that only mindgeek gets affected and not the rest of us? If we are getting completely cut from Visa and mastercard when is it activated? for I was just camming tonight and people on PH were still able to take me into shows. What are better sites to start moving over to that have a similar pace? Do you guys think PH is going to be able to recover from this or that Visa/mastercard will change thier mind?
To be honest, I am really worried right now for I make all of my income threw streamate. So thanks to you all for taking the time to share your information on the subject. I greatly appreciate it.
Same. I had seen the article I pasted above shared on someone's FB and they were jokingly saying "OnlyFans is next". I'm thinking awwwh shit as I plan to launch my OF next month. My question is, how can we hope for the best and prepare for the worst in light of this? What does this look like in 2021? I totally get the concern, but it is just aggravating to say the least that sex work gets lumped in with child pornography, sex trafficking and other illegal activities. Those of us who have made a living from this are the ones who are impacted the most. They’ve had to finally make changes due to major cc companies pulling out of business with them. Hopefully they’re able to get back in their good graces, and then keep their new processes in place that limit what content can be uploaded by whom.
But if mindgeek gets completely abandoned by all major cc companies I do worry about the trickle down effect to other porn sites and whatnot.
Yeah this is definitely gonna have a ripple effect
Have you considered MFC? You can splitcam and stream to both platforms, but just keep each platform's rules in mind about nudity in public chat. Go into "away" mode on one platform if you get a private show on the other.I 100% understand and am happy that changes are going to be happening. Because stuff like this is unacceptable.

From what I can tell, OF is already constantly making changes to try to avoid nonconsensual content being shared. Yes there have been issues, but it seems they're constantly tweaking things to avoid it."OnlyFans is next". I'm thinking awwwh shit as I plan to launch my OF next month.
Welp, my profile, where I shared my own artwork, got nuked. My favorites got nuked. My "videos watched" count went from four-figures to 300. The download function, which is a big reason I was paying a premium sub, is no more. Worst of all, their recommendation feed, which was never great to begin with, is now completely useless.
I understand their reasoning, and I'm all for policy that favors content creators. At the same time, PH was the place I went to just quickly find something fun to watch, and I thought paying a sub and uploading content of my own was my way of being a responsible perv. Seems that's not the case.
I'm not mad, but I'm sure as hell not paying for a premium sub any longer.
I'll meet you half way and say they should verify uploaders to make sure everyone is of age and consenting. But. I'm down for user uploaded stuff. Just make the verification process more accessible.User uploaded porn has been a bad idea anyway.
They did this because of pornhub's repeated incidents of hosting media that includes revenge porn, sex-trafficed victims, and under-age (literal child porn). Other sites don't have to worry about this because they verify every person uploading or streaming is of age and consenting. Honestly, it's about time mindgeek finally gets their shit kicked in for this. I'm surprised it took the payment processors to do something, and not the doj. They now require all uploads to be properly verified. This is a good thing bb.
You are spot on. This isn't about the "problematic" uploads. This is about puritanical morality. Just the means to their end.Meanwhile Facebook has 84 million documented instances of child content/rape/revenge/etc other scumbaggery. That's fine.
If only that were the case. They aren't doing this to "help models" they could give a fuck less about exploiting any of us if it lines their pockets. They got caught and now have to adjust. I am very happy about the stolen content being gone - so I feel ya 100% on that! It's just a shame that it took them getting fucked out of money for them to do it, instead of them just wanting to "do the right thing".I’m so happy PH is finally stepping up and doing something to help models. All of my stolen content is gone and I didn’t have to do anything!
If that is Ph defence strategy in my opinion won't be a good one. Twitt/Fb and other are, lets say tech comp. Ph is adult who fancies himself as tech. Also this prompts few questions: 1) They knew what was coming and did nothing. And, also, from what I've read, they didn't even listen people in adult biz. 2) what makes everybody believe, from what I've read, that TW and Fb won't be held accountable soon for that. My 2 cents. My comment is not directed at you. Just wanted to point out this from what I've been reading in the news. Another perspective.Just a thought to ponder
Because they aren't porn sites. As it has been mentioned here previously, this is a war on porn. Twitter and FB aren't porn sites, they will never be held to the same scrutiny. This is not to say that there won't be impacts. But it will not be the same.what makes everybody believe, from what I've read, that TW and Fb won't nbe held accountable soon for that.
Also Facebook and Twitter don't rely on payments made through Visa and MC, which is why all this kicked into high gear. so... apples and oranges.Because they aren't porn sites. As it has been mentioned here previously, this is a war on porn. Twitter and FB aren't porn sites, they will never be held to the same scrutiny. This is not to say that there won't be impacts. But it will not be the same.
As I believe you know, I don't live in US/Canada. So from my perspective it's not a war on porn, let's say, per se. But one thing I can sure tell, even if this is not my business, the more unfortunately I read about, the more I get upset, not only, and in primis for the tragic stories we all been reading about, but also for the total and absolute incompetence. personally I don't believe it's just incompetence but that's my opinion. Wish the best for everybody.war on porn
It most definitely is though. Who called for Visa/MC to drop pornhub? Exodus Cry. A Christian organization veiling their anti-porn/anti-SW rhetoric with the indisputable anti-trafficking umbrella.from my perspective it's not a war on porn
Ah ah.Lol, I know. That's not important. Yeah, I've read somenthing about that yesterday but, honestly, know nothing about. I've read that is somewhat backed by different activists/group/association. Have no idea if it's true. In my book not only it doesn't matter but makes everything even worse in my book, if you know somenthing is coming, what do you do? Just wait for the train to hit you in the face? I don't understand. Have to go, will follow the thread.I was not aware.
The people on Chaturbate are SUPPOSE to be veried, and even though I agree there are distrubing vibes, vibes don't count as illegal.Except for Chaturbate - they definitely have an underage porn/trafficking/feeding the pedophiles vibe going on in a LOT of rooms. They will have to straighten the fuck up too which is a good thing, but they won't do it until they get slapped by the credit card processors. The only way to get these sites to comply is to take away their ability to make money. If we have to blame anyone for fucking up the industry it is sites that have gotten away with way too much for way too long (PH, CB). I'm glad to see someone is finally holding PH accountable. *Grabs popcorn and waits for CB's turn*
Did you have a model account there?I just looked at my PH account and ...well, it looks different, that's for damn sure. I can't even change my avatar and banner. One thing I didn't think about is how this removed all the animated/ anime porn. And, now the market is less diverse. It's skinny white women, muscle white guys, a few ebonies here and there, and muscly BBC.
...Maybe I should become an accountant or something.
It does when the roleplaying / fetish feeding is directly and BLATANTLY "underage" play. And yes, they are supposed to be verified but I've seen girls on there who are obviously no older than 14/15 years old being dressed up like little kids with toys and kid stuff all over the room. The room is FILLED with pedophiles (reading the chat is disturbing) and they continue to allow it with the excuse being "age of majority in their jurisdiction". Thing is, it is being broadcast in the USA, CB is based in the USA and the girls are not legal for USA standards. The people on Chaturbate are SUPPOSE to be veried, and even though I agree there are distrubing vibes, vibes don't count as illegal.
