Trace Route
to run a traceroute on windows 10
- click the start button
- type cmd
- press return
- when the command line opens, type or paste in, tracert live.stream.highwebmedia.com
- wait till you see trace complete.
on mac
- from the dock (bottom of screen), click on finder
- click on the go menu (white bar, top of screen)
- choose utilities
- double click on terminal
- when the terminal opens, type or paste in, traceroute live.stream.highwebmedia.com
- wait for traceroute to complete
You can copy and paste the results. you might want to run this command several times when the issue is happening, and when the issue is not happening. Look for large changes in the ms.
Other things to consider
Is there anyone else who might be using your internet connection at the time the issue is happening?
Have you tried using lower bit rate when the issue is happening?
If your using wireless, does moving closer to the router help when the issue is happening?
When was the last time you rebooted your modem, router, computer?
During peek hours, when the issue is happening have you tried streaming to another services? (twitch, youtube) ((some thing appropriate))
Have you considered calling your ISP?
If your using OBS, have you tried the streaming option built into the CB website?
Alternatively, if your using the CB website, have you tried OBS?
