Which is the same experience I have had. I've gone to her room multiple times (read: 25-35 times) all for about 30 mins each and had the same experience. Sometimes she's got a costume on and doing something to enhance that "theme" but it's almost always just her sitting on the bed in said costume miming some theatrics.

It's entertaining for a change, once in a while, and I commend her for being different. But I most definitely don't blame anyone for getting the idea that's all she does after having visited multiple times.

I think what "god" is trying to say is that you have to actually be one of her regulars to be able to sit in her room for hours on end, day after day. The social aspect is what brings them back, not what's on the video stream, methinks.

It's sung from a first person perspective of a working class man that feels like the hard strenuous labor that he goes through is unfair, when the people on MTV lounge around getting handed their money. Part of what makes it works is the exaggeration, the idea that in reality underneath it all, the musicians are working hard at their craft, spending countless hours on the road touring, the actual meager earnings they make after the record company screws them over, etc.

I was just using it as a conceit to explain my feelings on the capitalism of the situation. As a brilliant Cracked article points out "The World Only Cares About What It Can Get from You". When you exchange goods, people always are expecting something in return. No, it doesn't have to be pussy fingering, although that can be one of the things. It could be the art of the tease. It could be brilliant conversation. It could be hilarious performances. For me, simply smiling and typing "thank you" isn't enough of a return.

Maybe there's more that I never run across, but even still I'd want more entertainment per time unit for me to enjoy it.

The record companies always make the contracts out to favor themselves in ways that relegate paying royalties as a last resort. Between money for promotion, money to make the music videos, money to record the album, cash advances, etc. the artists sometimes end up owing the record companies money long before any royalties would ever be paid out.

Maybe by now, his contract is actually paying him royalties (provided Dire Straits albums still sell). But, for most musicians on major record labels, the real money comes from touring.

I understand. But if you wanted, say, a flash of her boobs for your tip, then you should've asked her (before tipping) if she's willing to flash for a tip. Then there's the dude from Nickleback... as much as I hate the band, itself and their music, you gotta hand it to the guy. He's made sure the record company can't fuck him out of royalties. The band pays for their own recording, their own music videos, etc. About the only thing the record company pays for is promotion of the album. So, in terms of points, the record company is pretty much forced to pay out royalties to the band.

Exactly as I said most of the show is in the chat not on the screen. I also find that 30 minutes is my upper limit, but sometime after the 6th or 7th visit I started to understand the place it is a cult or fad. Call Me Maybe or Gangnam dancing are fun but hardly great hard art yet they have achieved cult status. Back when I was in Jr High, Pet Rocks were the rage. They cost $22 (in today's dollars) and were literally just a rock,and came with a 16 page owners manual, explaining how you could teach your pet rock to "sit" or "stay" :-D. Millions of people bought pet rocks, including myself which is no more crazy than tipping Olivia. Why did any of these things catch on when even better performance or products failed? Who knows.

Lots of success in life has to do with luck. Olivia certainly has talent, but I think mostly she was just girl at the right place, right time. I figured some guys after they finished fapping came into to her room and were intrigued. MFC rewards top models with more eyeballs so if you were looking for something different Olivia is very likely the first room you'll see. In a site where primary focus of the rooms 90% is on getting naked and masturbating, there is clearly room for counter programming. Olivia4Naked is hardly the only non nude model. No. That isn't what he's saying at all, and I'm having a bit of trouble figuring how you can infer that from his description of her sitting there, and barely even interacting with her audience, just smiling and waving and typing out the occasional "thank you" for a tip is actually a complaint about how she doesn't get naked. "She doesn't do anything" is not the same thing as "she doesn't get naked." Sorry. Sometimes, "she doesn't do anything" literally means "she doesn't do anything." And, to be honest, I find it to be an apt description and a reasonable criticism. Observations about her being dull shouldn't automatically be dismissed as complaints about her being dressed. That's unfair.

That stated, even though I might not personally find her to be particularly interesting or engaging, I say more power to her. She's obviously found a way to work the social aspects of MFC to her great advantage. And there are definitely many people in this world who get paid a lot more to do a lot less.

I think there is more to it than that. As has been said her stuffed animal gets more tips than most models. Part of the fun of her room is the in your face aspect of it. Some of the members are poking fun at the other models. "All the other models are begging for more tips, and promising the they'll do kinkier stuff, DP, swinging dildo fucks, sex machines etc., Olivia doesn't even have to be on cam to make money, HA HA HA". I've never tipped her. I never plan on tipping her. I don't understand why anyone would. There was no agenda like that (although if Steph wants to take some validation in the fact that I see work she puts into things, that's great). I'm not upset with her in the least.

Well I didn't know he meant it literally, especially after I've heard so many people commenting on how brilliant they think she is. Also, many times when I see members complaining about a model not doing anything for her tips, they're just complaining about not getting a flash they were looking for. I agree with these guys. I've spent a little time in the room and it seems to be like a club for these folks, and perhaps tokens to Olivia are the dues. There's a real sense of community and camaraderie among the group -- with each other as much as with Olivia. Maybe this is their social outlet, the place where they feel they belong. Or maybe I'm over thinking it, and they're just happy to be there and have a good time. It does kind of contradict the perception of MFC as a stroke site. Seems like more of a social gathering to me. Of course, lots of rooms have that spirit of community, but they also have some "skin" in the game.
