He said that there would be spots for their social media accounts and possibly their personal websites on the models' profiles.
ok I must have missed that, thanks.
He said that there would be spots for their social media accounts and possibly their personal websites on the models' profiles.
Would it be possible to have standardized social media links on models' profiles or, ideally, right next to their cam feed? Having links to Twitter, Snapchat, Tumblr, etc. would make it a lot easier for models to get followers and they wouldn't have to spam chat with ads or put it in their topic.
The option for models to input their Twitter, Instagram, and personal website exists. Their isn't an option for snapchat since most models will use that to earn tokens. So, it comes down to what the model would like to provide.
I was thinking the snapchat button would just open a tip window with the amount for snapchat set by the model. Basically like an offline tip on mfc but pre filled out. Just to save models from having to advertise it in their room, but certainly not necessary.
What about other website on a slightly different market, i.e. ManyVids profiles?Thank you! And yes, as a model please promote yourself as much as possible. I encourage the use of Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. If you have a personal site, in essence that is an extension of yourself and important for promotion, as well.

Questions:
- why a 4 split screens option? wouldn't it be simpler for customers to open as many tabs/windows they wish?
- will your website be compatible with mobile/tablets?
- which technology have you chosen for your streams? Apple HLS or RTMP with Flash?
- what resolution will you be providing? You said "HD" but what kind exactly? Will you stream a constant resolution like 640×480 for everyone or will it depend on model own webcams?
- what kind of search function will you provide? By area (what grain? countries/continents?)? Physical features? Tags (set by models or customers?)?
- Do you have Geo blocking implemented? What banning function do you have? Temp ban? Perm Ban? Shadow ban? Ignore functions? Chat flood detection? Will it be available to customers too?
- Do you have fancy idiotic things? Custom emoticons, gif in chat…
- Do you intend to allow for custom app like Chaturbate?
- what kind of "flow" do you intend to build? Purely sex oriented shows or will you try to get various type of entertainment (dancing, paintings, gaming…)
- What will be the default sorting? Camscore based? Number of people? Ratings?
- If ratings there is, how will it work? can it be split by service provided? like public chat/group chat/private chat?
- I don't really like your current design, looks like a chaturbate clone, and as said by models, a separate fully customizable profile page would be cooler.
- What is your position on capping? Will your company send DMCAs to filesharing sites?
- Will there be a place for members to interact with other members? Like a "Lounge" without the cam part maybe. I think building a community and having a social aspect is important to keep people hooked.
- About the Friends option, is it a mutual friend thing or more like a bookmark friend thing?
- Asking for ID is definitively a deal breaker. Only an experienced paiement processor should have access to these things. I don't know if you heard about the Ashley Madison hack recently but even if the website seems "trustworthy", customers have no way of knowing how secure their databases actually are.
- More generally, how do you think your website will stand out? What is the quality will make models and customers alike think "hey, this camsite is pretty rad" "hey i will leave my X000 follow base to start anew there"
I would hope models will take the videos they have made and upload them to their profile on this website. Models can upload their videos to their profile and set unique passwords to each video. A member pays for a video and all the model needs to do is provide the member the password....simple.
I think you'll need a little more security than that. If someone leaks the password then anyone would have access to the video. Ideally, the model would be able to generate a unique password whenever someone buys a video that can only be used once or whatever the model sets the download limit to.
Any further updates?
I am very excited about your site. You have a very clear idea of where you want to go. The member levels is genius, and you seem to be a serious person. I have a few questions though..
1) Are you handling the payments yourself or will you be outsourcing it from another company? I wonder because the single most important thing to me is that the site I work for pays in full and on time every single time. MFC has many things I dislike, but they pay like a swiss clock. If you manage to pay as efficiently as MFC and you will do 0.6 plus support, plus all the perks you announced, I believe many top models who are tired of MFC's lack of support and eroding culture will be willing to switch and bring their regulars with them (me included).
2) You need to come up with a system to sort models on main page. On MFC it is the camscore (tokens per hour) which allows us tease models to thrive. Chaturbate filters by in-room traffic (sucks for models like me) and I believe Streamate has some sort of score depending on the quality of the feed (right girls?) Placement on homepage will be the single most important factor that will shape the culture of your site. Models will do whatever it takes to get better placement so if it goes by tokens/hour, they will push really hard to make more tokens in the minimum possible time (including self tipping which distorts everything). If it goes by traffic they will insert a baseball bat up their anus while singing an opera in a public parking lot to get more viewers. If you go by quality, girls will get speedy internet connections and great cams. You said you haven't thought that out. Will it be entirely random? Think carefully about what you want the site to be and filter accordingly.
3) Will you accept pre-op transexuals as models? inb4 3 billion "wtf" and "poop" emotes but I don't feel comfortable working on a site with male models including transexuals that haven't gotten their reassignment surgery. Same reason why I would never work on a site that displays hardcore banners of a giant penis ramming a butthole next to my feed: it is tacky, crass, and being a tease model, it will put off half of my regulars. MFC is female-only and I will not risk moving to HushHush and bringing my regulars with me if I will be displayed next to male models in drag sticking a dildo up their ass with their penis flapping and testicles jiggling on close-up. I don't care if they have beautiful tits, if they have a penis it is a deal breaker for me.
I am really excited about your site, I think it is much needed. Every token based site available has deep flaws so the necessity is there. You wont even need traffic if you manage to lure the best models, we will get you traffic. You are still very green because it sounds to me like you have never worked on the adult industry before, but if you are a swift learner it wont be a problem. Thank you for being open and answering our questions I truly wish you the best and I am looking forward to seeing your launch.
My question about payments has more to do with logistics than with the actual money being paid. It is one thing to have the money to pay the models (which I have no reason to distrust you on that yet) and another to handle the actual process of making payments. If you have 5 models it isn't an issue, you do it manually, but once you have hundreds of models, each with a different payment method, things become quite tricky. Companies that don't pay in time often fail to do it for logistics more than lacking funds for it. The same goes for charge-backs, you say you will cover them but you need a system in place for dealing with it to avoid getting so many charge backs that they will drag your company to the ground. Asking for IDs is a good idea, perhaps limiting their capacity to buy tokens like many sites do is also smart because it lets them try the site before asking for personal info, but it does increase the risk.
And about the sorting on main page my question is the same as @WillowJames, the fact that there are tabs doesn't explain how rooms will be filtered and arranged within them? Alphabetically? Last to login first? Longest time online first? Entirely random?
To answer your question and @WillowJames: the order in which models appear on the "models online" tab is alphabetical.
I shall be changing my name to Aaron Aardvark
Thank you for the heads up, I will register as Aaaaaaaabby
Regarding the recent recurring question about page placement, I've worked on sites which use various methods and the only one which has limited traffic to my room is camscore! Teasing is a huge part of my broadcasts and I regularly have 500 - 1000 people watching me when nothing is on show.
HHC has already confirmed there will be no camscore. I think random sorting with regular refreshing works well.
I will look into joining as well. Can you go ahead and sign up?
