I have 6+ years of camming experience. I do not really use social media. My social media presence has zero correlation with my model experience. My years/time on cam does.

I had a twitter that I used several years ago with a lot of followers that I deleted. I have one now, however I rarely use twitter much at this point. My income has not suffered because of it. My main site (Streamate) does not allow that type of promotion to gain many followers and I prefer my off cam time to be my "off" time.

As @Serenity_Tam mentioned. Social media presence really has no bearing on a model's experience. I am willing to bet many models with a very active twitter and tens of thousands of followers will tell you that the conversion rate of twitter followers to paying customers is fairly low.

I agree that there isn't much correlation between and number of twitter followers and experience. However the number of twitter of followers is important for a new site to have the site go viral. A model with 40K follower who says wonderful things about HushHush cams is going to drive more traffic than one who has 4K followers or no presence. An experience model brings three things to a new website: some of her existing regulars, her social network, and skill as camgirl. Let's face it Aspen Rae isn't likely to jump to a brand new site, unless she owns a chunk of it. New site should have the most appeal to models who are struggling on MFC,or SM etc. Some of these will be brand new models, but the most valuable ones are models who formerly were doing great on a site like MFC but aren't anymore. Many of them have accumulated tens of thousands of followers, now most of them are worthless. However some of them did visit you on your camsite and for whatever reason they didn't like the camsite. Will HHCams have an appeal? Who knows but I'm sure some will at least check it out.

For instance, I am not a particular fan of Sophie Locke but she is very influential model so when she announced she was switching from MFC to cams.com I was curious enough to check it out. It looks exactly like a Streammate white label site so I lost interest, but her tweets got me to check it out.

This is well said and also a concern I have. Typical viewing from the guys I know is exactly this way. They have the pop-out of the cam feed/chat of " #1" and go wandering thru the feeds looking at other profiles to find others. Camfeed and chat without the rest is a very clean way to do it. If you have a several monitor setup, blipping in n out of huge pages isn't that much of an inconvenience, but for book or laptop users its a pain. Also as to the profile read without actually entering and disturbing the room, most definitely. This is especially evident @ CB as the one page with all on it is how they do it. When im curious about some gal that's got close to an empty room, I'd hate to get her hopes up for something if I just want to read her profile and maybe fav/follow her for a later visit..
Also, if there will be a room count for 'people watching' or in room, perhaps split it into guests and members. when you see rooms with a 759 room count and come to find its only composed of 35 members that can actually tip, its quite misleading. Many girls look at the large # and say 'I've got xxx and only you 5 tipping' when actually her # of members tipping ratio is quite good.

As a layout this is the direction we will proceed in and unfortunately a member will enter the room. The webcam windows have a popup option that separates the webcam and returns the member to the homepage to view other models. You would have to mute the model page to view which in reality only takes a split second. I understand the concern, but it is the pros and cons of the layout.

Thank you for your post! I will not add to this because HiGirlsRHot I believe has represented the company point of view with that response. What I will add is that we do not judge a model based on social media and it does not affect a models registration on this site.

Cams.com is not one of SM's white label sites. Cams.com Is owned by FriendFinder Networks. Streamate and its clones are owned by Streamate Inc

Here is the list of rules:
- Men on camera for any reason. Men should not even be in the same room.
- Transgender Models are permitted and must follow the same rules - No sexual relations with Men or Women.
- Sexual relations with men, even off-camera.
- Minors, children, babies; may not be on camera or in the same room.
- Unauthorized persons / unregistered models (people who have not submitted their ID to us.)
- Bestiality or animals/pets on camera in a sexual or provocative context.
- Urination, defecation, "going to the bathroom", enema play.
- Vomiting.
- Breastfeeding or lactation.
- Menstrual bleeding.
- Illegal drugs.
- Excessive consumption of alcohol, medicines, or narcotics.
- Sleeping or passing out.
- Hypnosis
- Rape
- Incest or sexual contact between family members.
- Violence, cutting, blood, torture, non-consensual pain, erotic asphyxiation, or any actions associated with bringing injury or risk of injury.
- Escorting, prostitution, solicitation.
- Illegal or unsafe activity of any kind.
- Anything that would impair consent.
- Actions that may be deemed obscene in your community.

I'm a little behind on reading this whole thread, but I wanted to ask before I forgot. I apologize if it was brought up before and I missed it!

There's nothing about a model camming from a public area or an area that support deems too public. There was much discussion about this a while back when MFC started cracking down on it, and since then many models have had their hands slapped for camming from private backyards and anywhere else support seems to think is too public. Just something you might want to think about and perhaps add to the list of rules. Or, at least communication with models about appropriately private "pubic" spaces to cam from would be great. This could mean that models still wouldn't be able to do library shows, but wouldn't get in trouble for camming from their yard with a privacy fence, etc.

Camming in public can potentially tick all those boxes, and it has done, in many past instances of public camming.

The best use of social media (as I understand from models) is if you don't have a set schedule for cam times, it can help followers find you.
Announce when you're getting on cam to your followers.

Camming in public can potentially tick all those boxes, and it has done, in many past instances of public camming.

The problem is how badly 'public' is defined and how the rule is enforced - most people will not disagree with the cases such as public libraries, parks and such, but the problem is that models have been punished for camming from locations where the majority of those rules (except for the super vague 'obscene in your community') wouldn't matter, such as their backyards or from public places after business hours (think of a store after it has been closed and all the public-facing doors and windows are closed).

And to be honest, I wouldn't even consider the insanely vague "Actions that may be deemed obscene in your community." since it's so broad - it's not difficult to find groups of people anywhere that would be willing to complain that nudity (in any context) or even how someone is dressed is obscene, which means the site as a whole with very few exceptions would be in violation of this rule.

Again, this is where leveling provides some structure for the website. Giving these responsibilities to higher members should result in a reliable system.

You probably should look at the Lounge 10K on MFC to see how that plays out - I don't know how many % of members eligible to access that lounge go there, but considering the level of the discourse there I wouldn't be surprised to see higher-rated members trolling for the fun of it (in fact, it's quite common to see discussion on the L10K about trolling models/trying to find rooms to be banned in).

I won't argue that MFC is right in prohibiting models from broadcasting from their backyards but I understand the reasoning. They want to establish a too-strict boundary that will discourage models from testing the limits of what they can and cannot do, because the envelope has been pushed too far too often for their lawyers' liking. MFC is interested primarily in its survival, and would rather leave needlessly some money in its customers' wallets than allow models to put their enterprise at risk, because not exposing the company to unnecessary hassle is a prime directive.

There is historical precedent for this type of thing. For instance, in the Old Testament, there is a prohibition against "boiling a (kid) goat in its mother's milk", a practice that existed as part of a Canaanite pagan agricultural ritual. This prohibition, over time, turned into the prohibition against eating dairy products and meat at the same meal by those who eat kosher. In order to make sure that the original taboo is not broken, it is sometimes taken to a seemingly ridiculous extreme to make it impossible to be broken by religious authorities who have too much time on their hands and need to justify not making an honest living by coming up with silly regulations for the riff raff to follow.

This topic for me is something that requires common sense. Yes, there is nothing highlighting word-for-word in the rules about showing in public spaces, but most places would consider any sexual act in public unlawful. So, I would ask models to use their best judgement to protect themselves. Second, public shows can place the company at risk...which is obviously no good.

For me as an owner, I applaud creativity. If a model has an idea about a show in a public place, I would like to see that the model contacts the Support Team and informs them of the shows location. A few days ahead and a few minutes allows the topic to be discussed. As a company, we will work with the models. But, the major items on the list of rules have to remain in place. If a model has a very private backyard and no one can view the show or end up on camera, then a quick connection with the Support Team can discuss and allow it. It is important that models have an open line of communication with this company so everyone is on the same page. I will place some trust in the models that they can conduct their shows properly, and until I am proven wrong, I will not place severe punishment on any model; as long as the Support Team has been notified! Very important.

Models who register will find that this company will be very professional and easy to work with, and open to ideas as long as those ideas do not place the company in harms way OR the model in harms way.

It will be addressed in the rules. Thank you for your post!

To add to the topic of shows in public spaces. Models must also keep in mind that working off WIFI or another internet source may put the quality of the show at risk. Sound can become an issue, as well as lighting (too much light). Things to keep in mind. The best connection to the internet is threw an Ethernet cord and not wireless. It is also more secure than wireless.

Not gonna lie, I too, am not a fan of this, as I like to check out different models sometimes, && having their room open up all the time when I want to check something out would be very annoying to me. I personally, do not like when you see members jumping in && out of my room, it makes me ask wtf is everyone doing? Like, are they doing that cause my cam feed is lagging, my sound is messed up, the cam site itself is having lagging issues, etc. That will pretty much guarantee that I end up having to have my volume MUTED while browsing other models/profiles, && that I will be signed out while I'm doing so... Which I personally feel would hurt a model more? A lot of people for instance very much dislike when you click onto a models profile, && a video/music video/music player starts auto playing. I just leave the profile. && I don't come back, lol. Would there be any sort of option to pop the cam feed/chat room out of that page, etc?

Snatch,
Since this topic has been brought to attention multiple times, I will look into providing an option for viewing just the profile. Most-likely, I will have my developer provide a link on the homepage image.

Update for new adjustments:
Currently, my developer is working on the mentioned profile viewing option, model feature to silence members for 24 hours and any comments from banned or silenced members to disappear, topic reuse and saving topics, automated token countdown for chat room.

We have included a URL input for models to link their page with a personal website on their profile.

Additional and required information for members has been added to help protect against charge-backs. Members will be verified prior to ability to purchase tokens. We understand this may be a short inconvenience to members, but something we feel trustworthy members will be willing to tolerate.

Question: So if a charge back does happen who is on the hook for such? Models or the site?

Are only 24 hour bans allowed? They expire after a day only?

The website will take responsibility for the charge-back. As a model, you will have the option to silence a member for 24 hours or ban (them which is permanent)
Gotcha gotcha. Thank you. Sorry if you already said it before and I missed it.

It's great how you are actually implementing many of our suggestions and requests but I think all we really want is traffic. It doesn't matter how great your features are or how high your payout if there's insufficient traffic.

I realise you are offering a slightly higher percentage than most sites but a site recently offered models 90% of tokens they received from their own referees. Still very few models brought their fans to the site. If a model and her followers are familiar with and satisfied with their current site then they will not move. Relying on models to bring their own traffic does not work.

A site needs models and models need traffic...chicken and egg, I know. I don't know how it was when MFC began in 2005, but when Chaturbate started in 2011 it hit the ground running. I'm guessing MFC relied on studios and I'm pretty certain CB's policy of allowing anyone and everyone to have an account and broadcast (it's an exhibitionist's dream though only verified broadcasters can earn) gave them a large membership very quickly without having to buy traffic.

So please, give me traffic! Every "freeloader" is a potential tipper.

I saw in another thread models berating free chat. I love free chat but wish the "no sexual activity in free chat" rule was enforced.

Just found this thread as I only recently joined ACF! I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I did try to read all the pages but may have missed it, I can't seem to find you guys on the web and was wondering when you launch/how a model applies? Everything I've read in this post is really positive, especially as MFC now seem to have no loyalty to the girls that pay their wages it would be nice to work with a company who actually cares about it's models, as after all we are the ones who bring in the income!

Thanks :)

Having traffic and models coexist at the same time is a difficult task. We are working hard to get the word out about the website and draw attention to the website. Models do play a big role in traffic since they have followers, but we understand that any successful model on another site is very unlikely to make the move. Why fix something that isn't broken? For those models, we believe once the website has developed a reputation, then they will make the move.

Traffic is very important. How I have opened this thread for discussion and review for the models and members of this forum, I will expose the website when live for review by other sites. Google is important. SEO and PPC will help with traffic. Display ads on other websites will also help.

Let us not forget that the features and function of the website are very important to traffic staying. Suggestions of both models and members on this forum have been very valuable and only made the website better. In closing, I personally cannot give anyone traffic. What I can do is use all the tools available to draw traffic to the website, have the features available, and support available for both models and members. How models conduct their shows and interact with members is "the icing on the cake." So yes, I am building a cake and I need models to help me with the icing :)

The website domain is: www.hushhushcams.com

Currently, the website is not live and is in the final stages of development. Originally, we had a target launch for this week, but since opening this thread we have had many great topics and discussions raised that have prompted some adjustments to the website. Adjustments that will make the experience for both models and members, better. At this point, there is not a specified date. My developer is working very hard to complete the huge list of items I have created.

To apply, I ask that you please wait for the website to go live and apply. We will be incorporating Payoneer and Epoch very soon. Once Payoneer has been incorporated, we will open the site to applications.

Thank you for your post!

I'm wondering what kind of "verification" you'll need from members. There have been so many posts on here throughout the years of members being asked to send a copy of their ID to the camsite because the site is worried about fraud (cause of IP locations/new card use/whatever), and the members don't trust the site and actually never use it again. Simply because the site wanted a picture of their ID, not even a picture of them holding the ID next to their faces. This is a huge detractor, and will likely make you lose out on business.

I completely understand your want/need/desire to validate every member, to help ensure that there are less cases of fraud/chargebacks, but if members are required to show proof like this before purchasing tokens for the first time, it's doubtful that many of them will actually follow through. They'll either stay as freeloaders, watching but never tipping, or they'll go back to other sites where they only have to put in their card number.

Currently, we are asking members to provide their address and ID #. They do not need to take a picture. We will be working with Epoch on this for the best solution. We do not want to drive traffic away, but at the same time, I need models to understand that in order for this company to take responsibility of charge-backs and pay the penalty fee ($35/charge-back + purchase lost) that I will take the necessary steps required. If a charge-back occurs, this company pays the $35 + purchase cost + pays models for the tokens. That is a substantial cost to this company. This company does not tolerate charge-backs.

Now, some companies limit the number of purchases made in a 24 hour period. What I would like to do for members who do provide their ID is remove that limitation. Members who do not provide the ID will be strictly limited on the number of purchases within 24 hours. I understand your concern and appreciate your post.

If the usual information required by payment processors for other sites is not good enough for you, you won't sell many tokens.

I like this idea, but honestly, I don't think this will work the way that you would like. I can tell you right now, that NONE of my regs, not even my bitch, would do that. You are a new site, && most people don't trust new sites. But, not only that, I know that most members on MFC won't even send in additional information when MFC limits their amount of purchases, they will either not buy tokens, or don't come back, even when I've tried to assure them that it's simply done for fraud reasons, && detailed the reasons why, etc. I have submitted my ID to MFC, because they did the same thing to me, && I even explained that I had to do it, && nobody would do it, they all left && never came back, or haven't bought tokens since. Hell, I know a couple of models that have Premium accounts on MFC, that can't buy tokens until they submit their verification/ID, && they won't even do it....

Also, I feel that in this business, or any business that takes any sort of payment... Is going to have to deal with a chargeback. It's just the nature of doing business.... It's horrible, && it's shitty... But it does happen, && it's bound to happen at least once, or maybe even a couple of times. I work for my family business, && we've had a couple chargebacks as well, even though we check ID to match credit card info, etc...

I comepletely understand where you are coming from, && I love the idea, I just don't think that in all actuality, it will work very well. I am going to pass this thread onto a few members I trust, && ask them what they think about all of this to see what their thoughts/input are... :)

Will you be using Paypal as a transaction method?

I just wanted to say I applaud the courtesy, respect, and open-mindedness you've shown to the feedback you've received here. Obviously not all of it fits your vision for the site, and that's fine. Your generous attitude, lack of defensiveness, and positive reception to the comments, ideas, and concerns everyone has expressed is admirable and, in my experience, rare.

I will look forward to your site's launch.
