I have 6+ years of camming experience. I do not really use social media. My social media presence has zero correlation with my model experience. My years/time on cam does.
I had a twitter that I used several years ago with a lot of followers that I deleted. I have one now, however I rarely use twitter much at this point. My income has not suffered because of it. My main site (Streamate) does not allow that type of promotion to gain many followers and I prefer my off cam time to be my "off" time.
As @Serenity_Tam mentioned. Social media presence really has no bearing on a model's experience. I am willing to bet many models with a very active twitter and tens of thousands of followers will tell you that the conversion rate of twitter followers to paying customers is fairly low.
