I recently watched the entire series entitled "Top of the Lake". I'd never heard of it before, but it's got Peggy from Mad Men in it, and it was pretty interesting in a slightly disturbing sort of way. I'd recommend it.

Is this real life?!

Omg I saw this earlier this week and started watching it while doing other things hehe So many memories, has made me smile.

Fuck yeah Magic School Bus. Also Goosebumps is on too. I find the selection really random. Night of the Living Dummy Part 2 but no part 1? I call SHENANIGANS!

I just noticed yesterday that a bunch of the ESPN 30 for 30 shows are on Netflix. For my fellow sports nuts it's worth checking out.

I noticed that too! If I remember correctly though, they did a bunch of one-off episodes before being commissioned for a full-blown season of episodes. I'm guessing Part 1 was one of those one-offs, and for whatever reason, Netflix has the first season but not the one-off episodes that preceded it.

Not sure if this one has already been mentioned, but I think it's pretty new on Netflix - 'Searching for Sugarman'. It's freaking amazing, and especially worth mentioning if you're a huge documentary nerd like me!

Did not realize this was on netflix thank you!

I saw this in the theaters a while ago---I also recommend it.

In order of my favorites:

Battlestar Galactica - Seasons All.
House of Cards
John Benjamin has a van is pretty funny, too.

There is a really great film entitled "Starlet" about a couple of roommates in the porn industry. Really great storyline, totally worth watching.

Seconding this ^^

It was a great movie! Moves kind of slow but not in a bad way.

I love that it was mostly an improvisational film, where they were given a basic outline but not really a script.

The ending definitely makes you think. The whole thing was really great though :)

Animal Odd Couples ~The horse and the goat will make you cry.

Jeff Who lives at Home was really good.

If you're into nature stuff at all, there's a film entitled "Nature: River of No Return" and it was kind of spectacular. Just sayin'!

On a completely different note, Killing Zoe is on Netflix now, and that's a great film too.

I live in CAnada and normally only get Netflix CA, but a few days ago, I was told about a extension for chrome/firefox that lets em think i'm in the states, and thus I've discovered a whole new bunch of stuff to watch!

wtih that said
I started watching "Satisfaction" last night (3 ep's in) and finding it rather good
the show follows the lives of a few prostitutes workingn ina Australian brothel. (I seem to be drawn to watching doc's and movies and shows that centre around the sex trade in one form or the other)

also, just have to get this off my chest...
what the hell is up with Netflix CAnada not having shows FROM Canada but are on Netflix US instead?!?! WTF

Hear ya...feel ya on that one...Neflix Canada is a disaster so bust out Unblock ( a little VPN ) and BAM! Netflix US and Hulu (good as well)

Orange the New Black (ripped right through first season in 3 days loved it)
LillyHammer...waiting for season 2...have no idea if its over...hope its not..if you have not seen it check it out...good stuff

Okay and here is an odd one:

Apartment 143

If you want a little bit of scary, that has a little mix of Paranormal Activity, a little Blair witch, and a good Whammy of an ending.
Some might hate it, but I liked it, a few good scares, some decent acting and low budget but not cheap ass low budget.
No gore and blood flashing all over the place...I know that can be fun but sometimes just for a change..something like this is fun too!

The IT Crowd! It's a British sitcom and I have yet to meet someone else that's watched it...with the exception of the person that told me to watch it.
It's sooooo funny! I'm actually watching it again for like the 5th time as I'm writing this!
Also, I'd totally marry Moss! I'm just really drawn to goofy quirky characters. ^.^

Satisfaction is amazing but stop at season 2. Season three is terrible.

Welcome to the ultra confusing world of region codes and licensing agreements that just make no sense whatsoever in a modern internet world.

And just so you know it works the other way too. I love Continuum. They are aired in Canada first, of course, since it's a Canadian production. But they are not aired in the U.S. till way later since that's the agreement with the Syfy channel. Yet if I turn on my VPN to a Canadian server all of the sudden I can watch all of the episodes online for free immediately, just like any other Canadian citizen.

yeah, read that S3 was pretty bad before watching it, but I kept on watched it any way.... figured it couldn't be that bad compared to the other two seasons. just wasn't expecting the near total departure of the entire cast.
