My friend needs help with privacy while camming.

Hi...this is "kind of " an emergency. I have a friend that does camgirl broadcasting and needs help on how to protect her name and privacy a bit better. She needs more advice than I can give her and from experienced models and their trusted web geeks. I have some web savvy skills and I've been able to prove to her that she's "vulnerable" from some things said in chat or profile and it scares us both. She is really freaked out a bit right now and I would like to help calm her during an already stressful period in her life.

I know I should read the stickies etc. but can someone tell me (or link the posts specific that she needs) to do to get her accepted into the model area so we can keep her safe? She will sign up soon I am sure and especially if I can point her to the right people. I just told her about this site, but she's got a lot on her plate in life at the moment with moving interstate and I fear she'll procrastinate more than I will. I am sure she will log into the cam site or skype or something to prove herself to you once I show her who to talk to (mods or admins only please; no trolls playing games thanks, because I can see right thru that.)

I don't want or need to be middle man..I just want to point her in the right direction on who to talk to .

USE PM's if needed, I know of this site from myfreecams and my friend Taylor (she knows me as Wiccana) that used to cam there and I've heard that this is the best place for my other friend to get the tools to stay safe. She knows how the net works, but she's naive on how easy it is to make mistakes.

PS I am sorry to ignore the possible stickies that might have this info, but I am hoping to save our time with random clicks and get something important like this expedited.

As much as you'd like to help her, she needs to do this stuff herself - firstly because Amber isn't likely to verify her unless she's sure it's her on the other end of the screen and secondly cos you can lead a camgirl to water but you can't make them squirt...or something.

Info on how to become verified as a model is prominently displayed when you sign up, as I feel you probably saw when you made this account.

It is good your friend is taking steps to control her online information, but the golden rule of camming is, if you are a webcam model, people online will find your personal life and people in your personal life will find out about it. It's only a matter of time.

She'll find everything she needs to know as far as privacy is concerned in the model's only section but a few helpful tidbits for you to pass along if you'd like.

-No Paypal. For tons of reasons.
-Amazon gives out your info if you add things to a wishlist via any other site.
-Create a separate email address for all things cam-related.
-Don't give out your real name (except in the forms you send in to sites like MFC).
-Phone numbers can be traced so be careful.

There are tons of helpful posts scattered throughout the forum and taking a few minutes to use the search bar at the bottom of each section will pull up all of them. While it does take some time to search and read and read and read some more, it's always well worth it.

Firstly, thanks AllisonWilder for that link, that is exactly what I was looking for. It was the amazon 3rd party seller bit that alarmed us the most. We've since worked out using an offsite mailing box (not PO box) as a receiving place to at least minimize the breach in personal privacy (although, they'll still figure out that she's probably within an hour of the place.) The other tips were great as well. Those are the exact tips I was able to give her so far and hoping she'll found out more, if perhaps there is any. I will definitely give her that link and if she decides to carry on with the business, I am sure she'll appreciate all the advice she can get.

Evvie, to be honest when I signed up, I really don't remember seeing that kind of info, but if I had then I'd not have posted lol.
I agree that unless a cammer is a good liar, various info is going to slip out and possibly reveal a location or be "found out" by someone known personally by chance. We understand this much, but am hoping she'll find some more tips in addition to Allison's suggestions to minimize those chances. Those that are experienced in any job or scenario may have tips that might help a lot; I am sure we can agree on that

Btw, grats to you on vaping for 4 months. I use a 650m Ego-T for travel and a Smoktech Vmax for home. Been vaping since December. I still cheat with a cig tho with coffee in the morning or at a party or bar sometimes like a fool lol. Vaping is the way to go tho!

Nice man, I was vaping when I read that just now haha I started on an Ego C which I think is pretty close to an Ego T - still use it sometimes it's really nice and portable, but I spent quite a bit of money on a provari v2 tank setup (which I don't regret for a second) - so that's why I won't break even til sept hahah, I use that as my main vape.

The only thing that bugged me about the ego-c (and for some people this would be a small matter) was leaking juice out of the battery connection area, and juice building up in the mouthpiece
