I think finding new ways to drive competition on MFC is a great idea!
However, I think the Top 20 / Top 100 is perfectly reasonable motivation already and seems to be an A+ concept.
If they want to do a yearly Miss MFC, whatever. I don't foresee myself in that bracket for a very long time so it doesn't really affect me... though I do think it could make a dent in the income of lesser-earning girls those last couple months of the year.
In my opinion, I think driving competition among the lesser-earners is a much better idea.
For example, think maybe a badge or medal system, displayed as icons at the top of the model's profile or something.
Girls who finish in #1000 and below get a bronze.
Girls who finish #999-500 get a silver,
and girls who finish #499-99 get a gold.
My Miss MFC rank is usually all over the place. I can finish anywhere between #700 and #1500 depending on the month. I know I'm nowhere near the Top 100, and no matter how hard I worked it would be impossible to get there because I just don't have the traffic, so I have no motivation to finish at any given rank besides earnings (and maybe subtle bragging rights on Twitter). Camscore is really the only thing girls like us have in this lower register to show where we're at compared to everyone else, which is probably why we're so obsessed with it. In my opinion, if we had more to strive for to show how we measure up in comparison
in terms of earnings camscore wouldn't be such a huge deal any more!
The aforementioned medal system is totally just a suggestion that popped in my head with little to no thought, so please don't completely pick it apart.
I think it's a step in the right direction though, and I have a feeling something really neat could come of it. I know that I would be motivated to cam more hours and try harder to make tokens if I had something to show for it. The only thing holding me back is my camscore, because it's all I have. I know a lot of girls in my position feel the same way!
