MFC Video Preview

Does anyone know if there is a way to preview a video in MFC before buying? It doesn't even show thumbnail stills. I'd like to see if the model does any nudity before buying the vid as it's pretty expensive.

On MFC Share, the model decides what the preview thumbnail shows, and they decide if a preview plays. I'd say the majority of videos on the site do have at least a thumbnail preview, and many have moving previews.

The image you see is the thumbnail. That is the only preview the model wants you to see. You can always ask her in an MFC mail if there's nudity in it.

I don't think she's active any more unfortunately. I mailed MFC admin a while back but they never replied, I don't really wanna risk paying 75 bucks for it if there's no nudity

Yeah the staff isn't going to give you information about models.

It sounds like you're better off finding other models' videos to enjoy and pass on this one.

What would possess you to think that you can post a request in a CAMGIRL forum to ask for help stealing content from a CAMGIRL?

Like, I am genuinely baffled by the thought process here - and I kind of want to pick your brain.

Is it that you’re unaware that we are paid per sale (meaning MFC doesn’t buy the content from us then resell it)

Is it that you think because she’s inactive she won’t get the money?

Is it that you think we will not have a sense of camaraderie on an industry forum?

Is it that you just don’t think link sharing will have any negative impacts on the model? Or is it that you don’t care about the negative impacts? Or think she is probably so “rich” it doesn’t matter? Or that “exposure” will help her somehow

Like I understand piracy on the larger scale but I genuinely don’t understand the mental gymnastics required to justify piracy from indie performers.

One thing I have seen on forums that pirate my work is people complaining about the price - they feel entitled to my work at a lower price and because it is not whatever price they deem reasonable they justify pirating it.

I don't regret posting that because what you posted was poorly thought out, at best. And to be quite frank I don't think you are telling the truth right now, I think you got a different reaction than you expected, and are backtracking now. So, no, I will not be saying that I was wrong, in this instance.

As far as I'm concerned that post that I linked to is a super useful helpful post, that more cam models should see, and I am purely making sure that that happens, by reposting links to it. This really isn't about you is it. But you'd love it if it were. Bye now have a nice day

However, I also took your posts the way @Miss_Lollipop did and thought maybe you're really unclear how things work on MFC share and maybe content sales in general.

Your post was very unclear, and I suspect you’re backtracking to save face but maybe not. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Either way, my general musings about trying to understand piracy motivations still stand - as I said in my post this is somethIng I think about lately and just kinda wish I understood more.

Honestly, when a model like this leaves/abandons a site, unless it’s clearly posted on her socials or something- assume if she is other places she’s choosing not to be discoverable for a reason and move on.

Understand that piracy is one of the biggest issues we deal with, it affects not only our bottom dollar but also our exposure level which in the adult industry we may want to manage for a number of reasons.

Having our nude body distributed to 20 people paying $75 a pop feels very different in terms of risk than our nudes on Pornhub seen by millions and indexable.

So yes, this is a hugely sensitive subject for models.

Mfc and all other clip, cam and fan sites (like Onlyfans) pay us a percentage of what you spend. Tube sites pay us (if we uploaded the video) a tiny amount for views.

This seems to me similar to Manyvids when some users (from my experience) watched the previews thumbnail but unfornately these members did not plan to buy the clips even if these clips were worked hard but due to "previews" was very low traffic so that's why I blocked thumbnail previews on ManyVids (I know it's different from MFC share) but the opinion matters. Of course, some members bought the hardworking clips without previews
So that's why preview clips only increase freebies(non-supportives) in my opinion.

However that type is never going to buy much anyway, so I wouldn't cater your whole business to them. The guys that do buy, want to be able to preview video quality.

(For perspective I'm someone who's been doing clips 10 years now, and who makes about 50 to 70 percent of my income on clip sales. I'm also someone who can't make less than 5 -6 G in sales a month or I won't survive on the West Coast of the USA. For context. I honestly, would not do that en mass).

IDK if this is across the board but another thing I noticed a few years ago on MV is that when I switched all my clips to non downloadable, my sales completely tanked, and I even got some rage emails about it too. So, for me, making clips non downloadable was a very bad idea.

That’s across the board from what I know from various MV model groups etc I am in. MV specifically members look for downloadable content- vs like OF where there is not that same expectation

Making vids non-downloadable tends to turn users off simply because they want access anytime, anyplace. It kind of gives the user of the feeling that they tipped for it, now they own it and it's theirs to keep. Also some models might have deleted stuff that have been tipped for and the user loses access to it. Don't get me wrong, not all users are noble pervs, there is a substantial amount of video sharing so it is a risk you take as a model when selling vids.

Also in case anyone was curious. To enable a preview of your videos on MFC Share, in the album itself, there is a menu on the video for changing the thumbnail, trimming the vid, etc. One of the selections is to create a short video preview that plays when a user hovers their mouse over the video on your share page. You can use the sliders to clip certain parts of your videos and have multiple clips that then play as a montage on mouse hover.
