Hello to whoever reads this!

I am new on ACF and MFC. I've been on cam for a total of 11 hours over the course of 4 days on myfreecams and have almost wanted to throw the towel in already. My gut is telling me to give it a bit longer but my brain is like GIVE UP ALREADY THIS IS POINTLESS!! The first 2 nights were 120+ nights then came Saturday night and I made a whopping 1.50 in 2 hours and tonight I only made 55 bucks.... I want to keep trying but I'm getting so discouraged and it's only day 4. What was it like for you when you first started out? I've tried to be energetic, happy, have countdowns going and also be super interactive. but frig, I had 40 prems in my room and not a single one was talking even if I tried to get them to talk. Is it always going to be this hard or should I just give it more time?

Camming's notorious for being a roller coaster, earnings-wise. Especially token sites. It won't always be so hard, but it won't always be easy, either. It'll always be unpredictable. Read through the forum and figure out what works for you. I'd say don't throw in the towel yet, but it's not like you'll ever be immune to a bad/slow/lame night. Even top girls have shit nights, you know? Camming can be addictive and emotional and we all have highs and lows. A lot of the success in this job comes from innovating and learning how to stand out? :)

Fuck, tonight I made $0.40. And I've been camming 2 years. I typically have good nights but there's never guaranteed income when you're self-employed and work in adult entertainment.

Edit because Drunk Charlotte is repetitive. :shifty:

Just a thought from a member.

Right now some of the difficulty with your tips may be the following:

1) This time of year many are paying bills from Christmas debt.

2) Many are getting hit with higher heating bills and decreases the amount of disposable income of members.

Just keep in mind it may be much less "your doing" and just external forces you can't control. :twocents-02cents:

Thing is, there is ALWAYS going to be "some difficulty", so that's not really a line of thought we should be going down.
Right now it's Christmas debt, and then it's gonna be Valentines Day, tax time, spring break, the "summer slump, the reasons go on and on and on. Life doesn't stop.

I've been off and on since November and honestly it took me a while to get that many people in my room at the same time. If you already have that many people in there, then you are off to a great start, Don't give up yet! Maybe you need to improve your chat room subject line, modify your teasing methods, or maybe adjust your prices.
Personally, i've found that getting regulars is the main challenge for us newbies. As far as i've noticed, THOSE are the ones that tend to pay. Get them excited about something, maybe even get them to compete for something, make sparks - and watch the fire spread!
As for comparing methods with other girls, i've recently found that it's better for me to check out my REAL competition - girls that are online during my hours and have a moderate camscore. Most popular girls (500+ ppl in their rooms) have been in the game for at least 2 years and have videos to sell. Those videos earn them tokens no matter what they do on cam. Compare what's comparable! ;)

Be strong girl!

I'm new too! My first show is tonight, I'm only able to do two hours at a time each weekday but it looks like so much fun! What exactly do you do?

I'm wanting to start from the wast up for a little while. lucky me tho, my husband is completely cool with it :D

I'm new too, I've only been camming for ~2 months. The thing I've noticed with successful cam girls is their perseverance. Camming is tough, sometimes it's lucrative and sometimes it's total shit money. It can be really hard mentally, too. I had/am having a mental struggle with camming because it drains me. I log off after a poor night (which is more often than not these days) and all I wanna do is curl up and cry because I don't feel good enough or that I'm not being an entertaining enough cam girl. But I know that's not the problem. You can be the nicest peach in the basket but if the shoppers don't have the money, or prefer pears, you're not gonna get bought. (Wow that metaphor was terrible, moving along....)
What I'm trying to say is just hang in there. It's the best you can do is to keep trying! If you check the profiles of most popular models they've been on for months, or years. It's all about building that fanbase and marketing yourself correctly.
At least that's what I'm telling myself.... :shhh:

I'm going into my third year of camming and honestly its never the same income wise. But a particular pointer from me is BE CONSISTENT. Consistency is incredibely important and making yourself available in some form of social media...lol Hope this advice helped.

:)
