Yes, that sounds like a very, very uncommon thing. I can't remember the last time I've seen a model fulfill requests from guests or basics. Maybe OP is talking about one model when he says 'girls'? Not sure.
But if you visit models on the first page, I can't imagine you'll come across more than 1 or 2 girls who fulfill basics'/guests' requests. It doesn't make much sense for a model to let them talk, let alone to do what they request.

Well you don't need to tip if you don't want to. It is called Myfreecams for a reason. And there are more people with your mind set then there is loyal premiums. So your not alone. I'm fairly new to this cam girl thing like I mentioned I got roped in from reddit.com. I found this forum by googling "myfreecam freeloaders".

If I were you, I would look at finding ACF as a blessing in disguise. I think if you read through the threads and see how others operate and, use this as a place to learn and interact, then it could make your overall experience with camgirls pretty wonderful. What's the point of upgrading to perm member if you can watch the show for free as basic and guest? Don't get me wrong. I have upgraded two of my account to perm and bought the 900 token on each but it piss me off that I'm tipping a model to do free show while others is looking and even chatting/making request with just basic.

"freeloaders" are as essential to a site like MFC as the tippers. It can be annoying as all hell at times sure, but it's what makes it work. I'd never honor a request from a guest or basic but I'll let them speak for a little while if no one else will. Conversation can be so important sometimes! And I think any room where there is tipping happening, should have Basics muted. If you're in a room where Basics are still allowed to chat even when there are tippers and countdowns or shows going on, you can go to another chat room. You don't have to stay there or tip, if you don't like how the model runs her room. I browse and observe until I find a couple MFC rooms where I enjoy how things are done. Then I only tip those models and I don't go to any other rooms until one of them retires, goes on a long vacation, or something like that.

Your metaphor works if the storekeeper eventually tires of the browsers who overstay their welcome and shooshes them out the door. When does browsing become loitering? Up to the model. But if you stay for a show, you should either tip or GTFO. If you hang out in a room every day or night that she's on but never speak and never tip, then permaban is in order.

If she's indulging requests for anyone who asks, it's probably time to hit "next model". Just because other people are being cheap doesn't mean you should, too. If you tip a model, she should give you a little more attention than the freeloaders, but she is in no way obligated to stop talking to them altogether. It's important for a model's income for her to engage the entire room, not just the people tipping right now, because, hey, these other guys might enjoy watching her and come back some other time with tokens. If you feel that a model is devoting the same or greater attention to non-tippers as she does to tippers, you don't have to keep watching or tipping her, find someone else. Pretty much, yeah - I can't stress how annoying it can be to be one of very few people talking in a room. I'm constantly feeling pressure to try and keep a conversation going. With more people talking, I get a bit more breathing room and generally feel it makes for a better conversation. I find no difference good or bad basic/vs guests in terms of respect. To be honest I usually have more faith in guests for some reason... there's more hope, they could be newer, the basics with years old accounts frighten me :-D

If basics turn douche first they get muted first in my book and vice versa. Honestly for me both are usually muted eventually anyways. But in the beginning I need someone to talk to and some of them appreciate that opportunity.
Though once recently I remember getting a high room count going while mostly naked and pm'ing one of my friends like... nobody breathe.. but guests are still unmuted. There's nothing wrong with a person using MFC just as a place for Groups/Privates or videos, I think that's just fine and then you're compensating the model, too! Gold shows on Streamate seem like a great idea, too! I think this is an awesome solution.


As far as watching shows and not tipping though, I KNOW it isn't anyone's responsibility, but at some point we just all have to remember that if no one buys coffee anymore eventually the coffee shop has to close and NO ONE gets coffee. Every SINGLE tip I get makes me feel so appreciative because if no one tipped, I would not be able to do this wonderful job anymore. I know that sometimes the load gets heavier and sometimes it's lighter, but the more people who help out, even a little, the better it is for everyone. I know it can suck to see others getting it for free but I would still say it's much better than no one getting it at all.


Regarding guests and basics being muted vs. unmuted, I have a 3 strike rule for each group. If 3 basics are assholes or annoy me then the whole group gets muted. Sometimes I will make an executive decision and mute a group early because I don't feel like dealing with it, but all in all I feel like this method works great for me!

Everyone has to start somewhere! I think that part of why I witness SO MANY premium upgrades is because those awesome people got to take part in the community for a bit. I will also say that guests can often be even more awesome than basics because it is more likely for that group to have people with premium accounts hanging out who are not logged in at the moment. (I love to perv, but often when perving I am not in a mood to engage and just watch as a guest.) I've had plenty of people come back later and tip me saying things like "I was the guest you were nice to yesterday!"

I think this doesn't work for everyone though and I totally respect models who mutes both groups right away! Sometimes I think I would prefer that method, and it does encourage people who want to take part in the community to either log in or upgrade, "put up or shut up" seems an apt expression in this situation. I guess I can just really understand that for some people it is harder to make the leap of joining without a bit of a taste of what it feels like to be a part of the wonderful ongoing conversation that is MFC.

well, on MFC you have premium members who appreciate the social aspect and tip mostly because of the interaction, for fun, and you have members who see it as a marketplace to get personalised porn. each is fine, but it does seem the second group end up whining about 'being scammed' a bit more then the members who are on MFC to unwind and have a good time without a 'gameplan'.

If you're not too fond if the idea of tipping a lady for her time and effort maybe you're better off getting a few good site subscriptions? because honestly, you sound a little like a butthurt in the making. This could go horribly wrong and I don't know how happy that would make you (or the model involved)

Yes I do feel butthurt with my first account. Girls will do request from basic and guest so they can drive their room traffic and I do feel that I'm getting shagged here. So if they want token from me then they need to give me something in return. How is this wrong? I'm not mad at the girl. They gotta do what they gotta do.

In 4 years on MFC, I have never seen a model ignore tippers so that they can fulfill requests from basics and guests. :roll:

I've seen it a time or two from a new model or one with a very low camscore, either because they think they have to, or they're praying that maybe someone will like what they see and tip.

I noticed recently an increasing amount of models who allow guests and basics to chat in their rooms and some even give them the same amount of attention as tipping premiums which I find bizarre. Anyway, I used to only go on MFC for the social aspect and to chat with models..and tip them for their time and attention, so when I see guests and basics getting this for free it makes me think why should I tip?

Same scenario with non-tipping premiums, if i'm only there to chat and if the model chats with everyone equally why should I tip? because it makes me a better person?

I spent tens of thousands on MFC over a number of years but I no longer buy tokens and tip.

yup. especially new girl. even after they were told that guest and basic can't tip and they pay attention to guest and basic just as same as perm members. i'm not going to tip for that.

I have several times, even for girls with >1K camscores. One time I remember I tipped for something the model ignores me. A few minutes latter another premium tips for something else in the topic. She continues to chat with the basic. The other premium and I even comment that basic is not only not tipping he can't. After another 5 minutes with only a perfunctory thanks, he posted something I guess there is 1,000 other models out there and we both left. The only thing I could figure is she was just really high, or the basic was actually a real life friend.
