It peeves me when a model complains there are so many unclaimed items when she could have thought about the non-raffle-winners and made their day instead of being greedy creating another token challenge.
I can't help but feel this is directed (at least partially) at me after you had visited my room this evening and I mentioned an unclaimed raffle mug.
So, I'm going to defend myself.
First off, I often end up drawing additional names during my raffle because I honestly want to give more away, including the raffle that you had entered in. Do you remember that Boce? When months ago, I decided to draw two more mug winners than I had originally planned? It costs me money to order and ship prizes, I don't have to draw extras but I want to. I'm sorry that you didn't win as your enthusiasm for it was the main reason I decided to draw more. You still didn't win and I was honestly bummed, so this post of yours really hurt my feelings.
I wish I could give a prize to every person that entered my raffles but obviously I can't as that defeats the purpose and would be very expensive.
I often times do a one night unclaimed prizes mini raffle. I usually also throw several items in my mini raffles that are left over from numerous raffles... none of which are items I refused to send out... but items which were never claimed... winners just didn't get back to me. Sometimes I'll throw in other shit as freebies as well... extra pens or stickers or key chains or whatever.
It's the only fair way. I can't just personally choose one person who didn't win a prize to get the unclaimed swag. That would be favoritism and extremely unfair and unethical. Quite possibly a raffle "scam", honestly.
I put a TON of time and money into my raffles, from the hours and hours of swag design to the expense of the item itself, shipping to me then shipping back out to the winners. My last big raffle cost me close to $2500.00. Do I have to spend that much on a raffle? NO! I could probably do just as well with videos and skypes, but I honestly enjoy making the swag prizes and sending things to people. It makes me happy!
My raffles are not rigged, they are fair and honestly don't always end the way I would prefer them to. Someone with 1 ticket who has been in my room for 10 minutes has won the big prize and someone with 200 tickets who is a constant joy to have around wins nothing. It sucks but it's a raffle. Everyone has a chance and just because the winner is not my preference doesn't mean he doesn't get his prize. And just because I really like the person who didn't win doesn't mean they get a prize.
I'm sorry you feel the way you do but honestly if anyone else had an issue my raffles wouldn't do as well as they do.
As a member it really peeves me that anyone can be such a sore loser that something like this bothers him months after and inspires him to call someone greedy.
