This would be a really neat feature if you were able to customize the models that appear on the "playlist". Similar to lounge only you get to pick and choose which models it cycles through. ie, "BBW Lovers Room", "Blond Asian Lovers Room", "Small Titty Lovers Room", "Red Head Lovers Room", "Bush Lovers Room". As if your models friends list becomes a video playlist. You could make your own custom lounge that only you enjoy privately, or you could admin a "themed lounge" open to others who share your interests, ie: "The Small Tittied BBW Blond Asians with Red Bushes Appreciation Club".
Like with tags, it could have been sooo much cooler, because small tittied bbw blond asians with red rushes is a HARD search criteria to navigate just based on camscore and popular rooms.

I don't see it as a negative, I just don't fully understand what it's going to be utilized for. It is neat-o supreme-o that premiums can shoot the shit with each other, outside of the spam of the lounge... but it still seems like resources that could be better spent elsewhere.
Also, yeah, I can totally see a model-blocked room full of nothing but links to videos, lol. But on the plus side, that could be used as good advertising too!?

I can see it as a positive if it causes trolls and beggars to create their own rooms and troll and beg with other trolls and beggars and reduce their numbers in rooms I really like to go to.
I don't see much point to it either, all it will do is splinter the amount of people using the main lounges. As people will make their own private lounges..
A better option would be simply adding Conferencing mode to the pm system.
Failing that add 2 new lounges "Talk politics here" "Have your fight here"

Yes, they could be a retreat for some models who just want to hang out without worrying about camscore or having to perform. Self-promoting models, prem-pimps and model-prems all pretending to 'hang out' will probably be haunting some rooms too. The Lounge/Lounge1000 syndrome on a small scale. It's MFC, it's as dull or as fun as anyone makes it. I've had a laugh with a few room hosts already and tried to find out what the options are.
Wait, are you saying that a model online without being on cam in her room still has camscore degradation? I assumed it was only if on-cam - otherwise I can't see the point of hanging as a premium over your model account (unless of course you want to have your cam on whilst chatting to folks?).

They're providing for more than just watching ladies naked - they're moving into creating chat rooms which cater and give reason to visit the site other than pure porn. Yes, people used to go to chat rooms simply to talk to strangers from around the world - without naked women. I'm pretty sure it's all about keeping people on the site more, or longer, than they currently do. You can, as premiums, make "friends" if you're inclined, and shoot shit about stuff in the way models despair and moan about because it's not all about them (when in their rooms).

FifthElephant brings up an interesting point. So far, I think I agree more with the negative comments about it than the positive ones. But with the "lounge-style video" being the only option for video type, I wonder if there's plans to expand it to where a model could make a room where she could allow only those who've tipped and other friends to see a show. She might just have to use her premium account to do it and set it to show only her premium account cam feed (she'd just be using the same cam and not be on her model account at the time).

Yeah, you're totally right. I believe the majority of models are still bitter that our working environment is/was so touchy and crashy and all of a sudden this comes out. As if the problems that keep us from making our paycheck weren't really addressed, but this awesome new feature for members just popped out.
But you're right. No more whining from me.
At some point one of us should create an AC Forum Members room, if someone stays in it all the time, it will remain open.

i mean, i get what they're doing...but really? the good thing about mfc is it creates a community for members, unlike a lot of other cam sites, and i think they are trying to further that...buuuuuuut maybe a different way is way better? or maybe updating the software would be a better waste of money? not sure about you, but I dont know why i wasted money on an HD camera since MFC still doesnt support it (or last time i checked anyways).

Just wait and see how it pans out, I don't think it's going to make much difference to anything. Link sharing could go on now, but doesn't, or at least very rarely. If someone wants to find such links there's forums easily googleable.
The grand strategy behind it, in my opinion, can only be that if you create means to keep people logged on after they've masturbated, they'll get horny and potentially spend money again. Like casinos. Keep the customers around, so they keep spending.

Just cheked out the fabulous new feature. All I see is some sort of trolls paradise. I am very happy if they all move in their own rooms and troll there instead of doing it in our rooms in the middle of a show. I just don't see how MFC would get any profit out of all this. But! Considering that Leo is a marketing guru, I assume there is something else to follow
I was in a member room last night, it was fun. There were a few models in there and a few premiums. We had some laughs. I think it's an awesome feature
I hosted my own via CutieNoodle last night to continue conversation even though my camroom was dead. It was actually pretty fun. I logged in on my Model account via a browser (not the software obviously) and joined the room I made.

If anyone noticed all of MFC protocols for models still exist. If a model is in a members room her site location blocks are still in effect. If you are blocked from a models room because of location blocks you will not see them in the members room either.
