What I've noticed fairly consistently is the young fellas [<25ish] are the most harsh and even insulting when it comes to the age thing. I suppose tho that goes hand in hand with manners, which aren't really taught or used by many youngers of this generation. I can remember both my grandma and mom saying its rude to ask a woman her age. Now, it seemt to be asked soon after "hi, where you from?"
Every older generation thinks the young/new generation aren't taught good old manners. I mean, it's been going on for hundreds of years lol. But that's silly because racism and other now-unacceptable behavior and ideas that used to be the norm. Cultural priorities change over time, but that "rotten spoiled generation without any manners" used to be you, and a few years ago, me.

Truth is, young people are just clueless and selfish. But it's their age, not their generation. I was a shit when I was a youngin'; we all are. And when I'm older still I'll think I'm a little shit now! XD

Sorry, thread jack! ^^

Do men (or even women, for that matter) even know what women of different ages actually look like? Especially when half of everyone is lying... Like sometimes I think I "look young for my age" because the women who put my real age as their cam age are 10 years older etc.

I believe this 150%. That's why almost every ACF girl is like "I'm this old but I constantly get told I look younger!" Age in women is so hard to guess or gauge, haha. I am terrible with ages in general but I tend to guess most people are older than they are (so I don't guess out loud hahaha).

I had to politely remind someone in my room yesterday that I don't list an inaccurate age on my MFC profile as a means of actually pretending to be younger, but as a security measure. Some people just don't get it. No, I was not *actually* born on 3/10/198...4(5...6 now? whatever makes me perpetually 30 years old LOL!)... giving out my exact birthdate would be too risky for me.

I totally get that Amber, I just think chickas get waaaay to hung up on the age thing. When I first started on SM I was warned by a model that I should drop my age because guys wouldn't want to see me at my actual age (39). I played with it a bit and realized that I actually made more listing myself at my honest age, for, eh, who knows why, but point IS! it didn't hurt my income. Most of my room doesn't even bother reading my room topic, let alone my age, so having an engaging personality and a good cover photo is more important.

This is an opinion of yours I disagree with. There used to be a fairly common morality or even call it a common courtesy towards others whether you knew them or not. Now it doesn't seem to be much of a concern for a large portion of the "youngers." Where you used to be able to say 'hey how ya doin,' nowadays you're just as likely to get a 'fuck off asshole' as you are a polite reply or even a grunt. If you call this a cultural priority then you live in a very strange culture that is not a very positive one.
As far as 'being a shit' when you were younger, a portion of each generation were 'troublemakers' no doubt. What makes it worse imo, is the social media anonymity of today makes it a lot worse by removing the real physical interaction that was responsible for mediating ones politeness and understanding of how to interact with others.. [translated that means mouth off to the wrong person you caught shit.] Now its all basically a keyboard warrior mentality that flows to the streets.
I do agree completely with the "young people are just clueless and selfish" part and will add in disrespectful.

I'd suggest listing your age as 25 because, statistically speaking, men are attracted to youth. There are outliers, of course. It's best to appeal to a wider audience in regards to sales through. I think I'll stop aging at 25 on my profile. So, this year will be my last birthday. Yay!
Check your MFC profile ;)

Many have already answered you but be yourself, no need to lie about your age.
Nothing worst than inventing all these lies to create a characters and have to keep up with all of them.

Be confident enough that no matter what listed age you have, you're personality and your photos will be more than enough to attract and retain clients :)

I disagree. Many times in this industry lying is actually beneficial and necessary. That's enough to motivate me to do it. In a way, everyone plays a better version of themselves to the public than they would in private, so I don't really see much of a difference. Unless you create some extravagant story about how you're some lost Mayan princess here to save all the kitties.

I totally agree in "playing the best version of yourself" and not getting caught up in planning this extravagant lie but I think the age thing is irrelevant.

MILF is the most researched and purchased porn out there after all so let's not be afraid of telling how old you are because in the end, it's mostly what you look like that will dictate if you sell or not :)

A fair number of models use their real first name when camming. If you have someone real first, name and real birthdate, and can figure out what state or region they were born it. You can track down their real name pretty easily.

I'm going to be 35 next month. I have my age listed as 32 on most sites, however, the first thing anyone asks is if that is my real age. They say I look much younger. I searched streamate and noticed all the women who say they are around my real age, appear to be in their early 40s or older.

Should I adjust my age even more? I don't want to miss out because guys picture a 35 year old as someone who looks much different, but I don't want it to look like I'm a blatant liar either. My husband recommended I list my age as somewhere between 25-29.

What does everyone think?

I dont lie and tell my real age which is 34. Guys say I look younger. I think some guys are just fucking pervs who like little girls but the real ones will appreciate you being honest. besides, with age comes experience.

I'm not saying people shouldn't use their real age. I'm saying whether or not they use it is up to them and it's not really wrong either way. Like I don't want people knowing my real age for similar reasons to why a lot of girls don't want members knowing their real birthday. Security. :p

I guess everybody has different level of what they consider security :) ...in that case absolutely, nothing's wrong on how you want to run your business/persona back story... I was just only concentrating on the age debate :)

The problem with that is that people are no longer using "MILF" correctly. It means "Mother I'd Like To Fuck", but dudes now throw it haphazardly at women who are simply in their 30's, regardless of whether they are a mother or not. It doesn't mean "30-something", it means "hot mom", and a woman can be a mom at 20, or never, so using a term like MILF to indicate a certain age bracket is absolutely ridiculous. Personally, someone even implying that I might have kids makes me gag, so I'm not exactly inviting toward the term. I'm currently 28 and have only had it used on me twice so far, but there's a chance that, in a couple years, it may be used more frequently, once I'm over 30. I've said before in model's only that, if being called a MILF starts to happen too frequently for my taste, I will be "25" for the first half of my 30's, then switch to "40" for the second half of my 30's.

This shouldn't become a political debate and, not to pop your bubble, they are just categorizing words of our industry... I also made that comment in a funny manner to alleviate the weight put on to such dilemma.

I don't make the rules and after 12 years in this, I came to realized certain patterns are impossible to change. Human nature is to classify, nobody gets around to re-write these rules.

Aurora Snow at 28 was already playing "mothers" in her porn flick (she even wrote an article about that) and a good friend of mine who's younger than me is doing the same as we speak. I'm not stating that it's right or wrong for that matter and everybody is free to run their business as they please but you'll be classified by your customers and our industry that you want it or not and that you lie about your age or not :)

The goal in all this is just to be happy about what you do and not really care about these labels.

I'm allowed to be uncomfortable being called something. I'm not sure why you feel the need to argue that. I will never have children, and the idea disgusts me so thoroughly that being called a MILF genuinely makes me gag, ergo I don't want to be called that. You can have whatever opinion you want about the industry, but I can still dislike a term that does not apply to me. I don't have a problem with my age, I have a problem with being called something I'm not. I'm also annoyed at BBW fans who call me "too skinny", because "skinny" does not remotely begin to apply to me - I'm over 300 pounds at 5'4", for Christ's sake, I am extremely fat and to call me "too skinny" is fucking delusional.

Your posts in this thread make it clear that you think that a model advertising as a different age is some huge lie, but, really, to our society, it's not a big deal. We play characters. A model listing herself as a decade older or younger is no different than an actress in her 30's playing a high school student in a movie. Viewers may know that the woman on their screens is not the age that she's portraying, but they suspend disbelief and let her entertain them.

so using a term like MILF to indicate a certain age bracket is absolutely ridiculous.
I always thought of it as a look, not an age. Little wider in the hips, few more pounds than the "teen" look.

I agree with this. I think very few searchers for MILF porn are actually looking for the "has had a kid" part, but rather the look and experience of a performer that's closer to her sexual peak but not yet "mature".

Certainly not trying to sway anyone that doesn't like the term. I don't particularly like it myself, but I do find myself in the mood to watch the performers/content that get labeled that way now and then.

lol...
Just giving my opinion on a subject doesn't mean I'm arguing because my thoughts are different than yours.
Could we keep this great agressivity free? ;)

Don't knock the messenger because I'm just stating how it is. Not making up the rules, here, on how humans reacts and how they create labels for pretty much everything and everyone as second nature.

The fact that you are or aren't comfortable with those labels isn't the discussed problem.

...everybody has the right to deal their business as they see fit and I respect all choices... but... my personal opinion (which shouldn't have such strong effect on you) is that lying about your age is pointless because customers will mostly judge you on how you look and how you present yourself instead of the lies you make to create your persona.

My customers NEVER think I am my actual age. I avoid explanations and annoying conversations by pretending to be the age that works for me. And yes, I have been honest. It didn't work. In fact, I was reported for being underaged a lot when I did. Lying about your age isn't pointless. Stop telling models how they run their business is wrong. And don't say that isn't what you're doing, that is exactly what you're doing. You're saying "You can do what you want, but what you're doing is inherently wrong and doesn't work so you shouldn't do it. But don't think I'm telling you that you can't."

You're also telling models that they should just conform their brand to what their members want them to (or accept what their members have labeled them, instead of what they want to represent themselves as), which WILL NOT WORK. If a model doesn't feel comfortable being labeled a milf, how is she supposed to be comfortable performing when people are branding her as a milf?

I hate to pop your bubble, but probably not (just a guess).

Honestly, with regards to the whole age thing, nothing speaks as loudly to me as when I go to a model's profile and see '99' listed. Seen several that do that, and I think it sends a very clear message.

I lie about my age. I don't know if I've completely shot myself in the foot or not, but I lie by a decade. It made remembering birth dates and things like when I graduated high school easy to spat. My first day on CB I got so many people saying "You are NOT 31, you look like a teen!" Now that I'm 21, no one has questioned it. Most people I meet irl think I'm in my early 20's and when I say "Thanks for thinking I'm in my twenties" they then guess I'm 19. However I've realized a big problem. I have a hard time talking about my life now! There's like 10 years of experience in these hips I can't really explain, and I've had a lot of adventures I can't place in time and I have moments I will stop talking mid sentence because I realize I just "broke character" for a minute. I almost wonder if when one of the hundreds of people I know across this country find me online, will my fans feel betrayed?

And now that I just wrote that, my birthday is tomorrow. I'll be 32.. er, I mean.. 22. :haha: I'm so bad at lying. I think I'll just be honest and change it. I hope my one regular is ok with it.
