Lounges on MFC

What does everyone think of the lounges on MFC? I have only visited occasionally and they are not my thing. There seems to be some good humored chat and a sense that a lot of guys know each other and are "Lounge Friends"
Not sure there are many positives for the models though. Guys can hang out there and watch what ever model they like with little incentive to tip. It seems to be used as a "booty call" where guys let everyone know which room has action AMT. Also a place where I see a lot of disparaging remarks about individual cam girls and cam girls in general.
The 1,000 and 10,000 are each a little more civilized but my feeling is that lounges are in general a negative for the cam girls and there ability to earn. What is your opinion?

The lounges are a good spot to completely anonymously watch and tip a model from.... she may notice you spying from a PM window, but never from one of the lounges.

The chat there always reminds me of the locker room at work, both it's negatives and positives.
I don't think it hurts a cam girl's ability to earn, even when it is negative. Some models overvalue themselves, some do wrong by their members, rip them off, lie, and so on, the lounges allow these abused members a place to chat, to be brutally honest, and look for someone who can give them back cheaply what was taken. The lounges keep long term members spending, and models' rooms more free of disruption, otherwise I suspect MFC would remove them.

I don't know how many members use the lounges when waiting for their favourite model, but there must be many. I guess there could be an argument made that the lounges are there to favour top models, and to stop members exploring too much beyond those they already spend on.

In my view the lounges are good for the girls.
The main reason is that members can watch the girls without being noticed by the models. I think it is better for a model not to have maybe 50 members in the room with no intention to tip.
Personally I only go into a model room when I am prepared to tip at least a bit, otherwise I watch from the lounge. I think models prefer a room with a high percentage of tippers, makes for more fun, so let the non tippers stay unnoticed in the lounge....

Ah the MFC lounges... poor dear old MFC lounges! Each one by turn a bastion of bitterness, a home to the befuddled and a sanctuary to those permabanned social misfits of all shapes and sizes. In short, I believe they have as much use as a chocolate teapot and are about as welcome as a fart in a space suit!

I vote to tear 'em down and remodel! Now... where did I put my virtual petrol can and my cyber matches.

Up until I read BobbyB's post, I'd have agreed completely with WickedTouch, but Bobby's post brings up a great point! I'd rather not have the 0/200's clogging up the rooms I enjoy hanging out in. (I'm also aware the behavior in the 1000 isn't much better) I rarely use the Lounge and never communicate in it, but I've found it useful for discovering new models when my favorite model isn't online. It helps test the waters before jumping in, as for people that hang out there, I always get the feeling from the Star Wars cantina scene.

Guess everyone is of a similar view. It seems that it's a useful tool for Admin Leo, as it's a place he can talk with members to get feedback and discuss ideas for the site and so forth..

I actually think it's nice that members can watch rooms without the girl knowing they're there, so there's less pressure to interact if you don't want to. Sometimes I'm feeling quiet and would maybe rather just watch than be interactive. Since you can still tip from the lounge, I think it's a good thing.

But I don't hang out in there because the chat is inane, lol.

Some very good points made. Wickedtouch you really cracked me up If my fav's are not on, I log in with my basic account, it's a lot easier to browse rooms unnoticed. You also get to see the chat in the room, so if you like the model you can also see how members act in the room. You can get a good feel for how the room runs, does the model allow crude emotes, what level of sexual chat is she ok with ETC. In general I don't like vulgar rooms so if a model allows a lot of it in chat I may give that room a skip.
Other advantage of having second account is even if some of your fav's are on but you don't want to visit them that day, they won't be hurt if they see you on but not come into there room.

Yea, same here. Either I logout, or more likely I don't login until I'm ready to engage. Viewing rooms with chat is far superior to the louge imo, hence I rarely use any lounge.

There are several MFC member created rooms where the chat is much calmer and less toxic...some will allow basics to join. As a premium member you can even create your own room if you wish and enjoy watching the ladies in the comfort of your own little fortress of solitude, undisturbed by the baying of the butthurt masses.

Haha. You NAILED it, because this is exactly how I feel about the lounge. I remember going in there maybe once from a premium account, and saying never again.

Gotta love the members who've been banned by 80 different models in a span of 2 days, and swear that it's just because those models are "dum azz biches."

I've never liked the lounges. The few times I've tried to sit through them it just seems like incoherent ramblings and model spamming. I'd rather spend the time just scanning the site on my own looking for new models or visit other sites until my favorites come on.

Well, the dudes who frequent the lounge are the camsite equivalent of the dudes who go to the stripclub, sit in the corner and refuse to tip because they paid cover and think that that entitles them to endless free entertainment, and then complain when the strippers ignore them.

In fact, they probably do both.

I can't imagine being that bitter about sexual entertainment. Tipping camgirls is FUN. Tipping strippers is FUN. They both do awesome things when you tip them. And buying videos or lapdances is SUPER FUN. 10/10 recommend, I have done both multiple times and always enjoy myself. If I can't afford to tip, I don't go, or don't log in, because that's boring to me.

Yes, members can create their own. We don't get tokens tipped to us. We can turn on our own webcam for others to watch us. Or we can make one for viewing models. It's basically a way to set up a common gathering point for friends. Either people we know from various rooms, or people who are all from one models room and we want to get together as a fan site so to speak. Oh, and if we do turn on our own webcam, the video quality isn't as good. So it's not a great option for models to create one as a member, show their own cam, and expect to use that to get tokens and bypass the 'time on cam' part of camscore.

Would have been the same for me. Called out a few idiots here who were also idiots in the lounges. They didn't like it. But I had the idea to just turn off my profile for public viewing. They can't down vote what they can't get to.

I went to the lounger after reading this thread and it was surprisingly not a nightmare. Most were talking about Trump's video and having disagreements in a respectful manner. I saw some model advertisement being done and the typical look at thi girl type of posts.

I guess it depends on who is in the lounge at the moment.

To be honest, the only thing looking at a members profile would tell you is if they are too stupid to know how to manage the bad posts on it or not.

Members have the exact same ability to edit their profiles as models do. We can display or hide all the sections, like 'About me,' regular galleries, password protected galleries, even the message wall. And if the message wall is shown we can still go through and delete any messages we don't like. We can even block specific members or models from writing to the message wall if it is shown. We can block users, and locations from viewing it in the first place. We also have the ability to ONLY allow models or profile friends to view itl. We can also create a filter list so no post can contain those words, like: freeloader, warning, jerk, scam, ripped me off, chargeback, or any other keywords you can think of.

To put it simply, anything a model can do to edit her profile, a member can do just the same.

So, if a model did try to leave a bad review about a member, it just wouldn't work. Unless he's stupid and has never bothered to learn anything about his/her account.

Thanks for the info! I still think it would be good to have some way to warn models. I had a member warn me last night about a guy and his profile was private. Sure enough a couple hours later dude was straight up crazy.

Sometimes I don't feel like MFC protects its lower level models as much as it protects its members.

I haven't went back to the lounge yet but I moved up from the previous one so maybe it will be better. I was uncomfortable as hell when I was in there for the fact these dudes were ripping on these girls hardcore. If you don't like the model fine but ripping them apart like that it's weird and they have serious issues. They were saying shit that if I was in the same room as them an actual room I might clock them. I mean damn cutting up is one thing but bringing all these dudes into just massacring these girls pisses me off and I'm not a loser who lives in my parents basement it's just fuckin human decency
