9 days ago was like my first time on MFC.com and I came across this really cute girl on cam. I saved a few screencaps of her but I totally forgot her name.. :/
I've been looking for her ever since, but can't seem to find her.

I don't know her but do you remember anything about when you saw here? What day and time? How did you have your search filtered and what page/row was she on when you were watching here? If she's on regularly at all you should be able to find her by focusing on these things. Did you look at her profile at all?

Sorry dude, never seen the girl. Chances are that if no-one recognises her you'd be best off searching a few pages back from the main page as otherwise I'd have thought someone would recognise her. Also it may depend upon what country she is from, any clue? Did she speak English, Spanish etc which may help narrow down geographically her most likely online time? A bit harsh to put it bluntly. Nearly everyone will have gone into a room one time and not said something - especially if they were a basic and she'd blocked basics from speaking. Likewise I doubt there is a single guy here (or model) who hasn't watched a cam without speaking or tipping (the lounge, for starters, does just this!).

So whilst the first two suggestions are perfectly good - the last is presumptuous, unhelpful, judgemental and feels more like a "thanks" button chasing post than a real consideration We should cut randoms strangers slack as surely everyone is welcome until proven to be a tool... tolerance if you like

You're going to just have to find her yourself. By the way, I personally think it is incredibly rude that you watched and enjoyed a girl, enough to take a load of screen caps of her?!! Yet you cannot remember her name or anything about her!

Personally I do not appreciate members taking screen caps in my room unless it's for me/something silly and they're a friend, I rate it on the same level as recording, especially if you haven't even tipped. Now you're new to mfc, so you don't know this, but it is pretty rude, and definitely not allowed. Kind of like stealing in a shop. It's one thing taking the free samples of fudge, but taking pics/a video is like taking the rest of the block and leaving the shop to eat it on your own, without even buying anything in the shop!

I saw her 20th of december around 11PM (Timezone: GMT+1). I think it was on the first page and somewhere in the top/middle. The room didn't have many ppl in it though. She did speak english fluently, she was abit of a nerd (she was into fantasy novels and supernatural things), she also seemed rather intelligent. And also mentioned that she could only go on cam if her sister wasn't home. Don't know if any of this helps?
Oh and I didn't look at her profile at all, since I checked my browser history.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. It was my first time on MFC. I'm a premium now and I will definitely tip the girl as soon as I find her.

I obviously don't know what the first week or so of a new model on MFC is like, but I still remember that first week as a Basic, and how it was all excitement and exploration and figuring out how the place worked. And, since I didn't know yet how everything worked (like favorites (and seriously, how many premiums still don't realize there's a difference between a friend (AKA a favorite) and a profile friend) and archives) it was all a jumble of sight and sound after a while. And I know for a fact that there were one or two models in that early stage that I wish I could've recalled who they were later. Heck, I might even have stumbled upon them later and not even realized it, that's how much my memory of that time is garbled. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think my experience was particularly unique or unusual.

And even once I was a premium, it still took a while to figure out the social norms and expectations of the place (and there are arguably several such norms depending on what room you're in). Frankly, it wasn't until I found ACF that I started to get a better feel for a lot of those things, so in that way, Cray (or do you prefer Chester) is way ahead of the game.

Finally, I don't want to get in an argument about it, but taking a screencap isn't like stealing any physial item in the real world. I'm not saying it may not be inappropriate and rude, but given that everyone else can still enjoy your image (unlike the fudge), it's just not a good analogy. I'm perhaps reacting overly strongly because of the fact that the movie and music industries use this same analogy regarding piracy, and it drives me crazy that they won't admit it's a poor analogy.

As for identifying the model, I will say that she looks familiar to me, but I'm not sure who she is off the top of my head. If she was on the top few rows, there's a decent chance that someone around here knows who she is. If we can't figure it out, then good luck. I totally know the feeling of thinking that there must be some way to figure out who she is, but not succeeding. Now's a good time to make sure you know how to add models to your friends list.

When I first joined MFC I thought you added models to your friend list through their profile page. So they never popped up to the top of the page for me, so when I wanted to know if they were on I would look around the last place I saw the on the main page. Models tend to stay in the same region of the page most of the time.

I know what you mean but it's more the fact that the newbs sign up and start threads. They don't join in discussion, or read, or search, or try to get a feel for the place - the ones who get torn to shreds are the ones who post some topic like "zomg I bet no one has had this problem before and I fell in love with a camgirl and..." yeah :roll:

As for the girl, I remember her vaguely. I'm thinking she was page 2 tho with the sorter set to 250/page. No clue as to the nic tho. Time and persistence should be able to relocate her eventually. I had one like that back when... she was only on fri/saturday's and it took me about a month before our times meshed and I stumbled back into her room. Meanwhile, there's 3-4 more pages of girls that would love your company.

...that's where the "certain people fit a pattern" thing comes into play. Generally folks like this gentlemen find what they want & move on. The tone of this thread is NOT normal until recently (when it became a more regular happening) and I would say people (looking over the thread now, it's not just cam girls throwing fits, although their main point seemed to be he didn't pay her in anyway/even bother to remember her name while enjoying her company, but instead took screen captures) are sick of the fact that 9 times out of 10 when someone comes looking for something from us (find a girl, help fix my heart, etc) they generally leave afterwards not because they received attitude or heckling, but because they got what they wanted and saw nothing else useful in the community so many of us enjoy.

i think the point is that we all see patterns of behavior.....
i always thought the point of forums like this was to share experiences and maybe learn a little along the way.....sometimes that happens and it's all just relaxed and silly and fun....sometimes it's more serious.

everybody was a noob here sometimes, and i'm sure there is an identifiable pattern of behavior in "being" a noob. whether we respond to that pattern or the person is what keeps a forum constructive

Take away the vibe from the rest of the forum that you're accepted and we don't think you consider us an information pump. Either of these will help you not make this same mistake.

As to helping you find the girl, Dec 20th was a Thursday. So check on Thursdays around that same time, and about the same placement as you saw her last time. Other days at the same time is a good idea as well, if possible, but placement can vary a whole hell of a lot between different days. Also, next 20th is a good idea, if she's like me and goes by date-day on MFC instead of week-day.

The reason taking screen caps is like stealing is because you've taken something from the room which you didn't have permission to do, pay for or even ask for which you will later use at another date/enjoy in your own free time.

Whether or not my image will still be around and I did not notice anyone taking a photo of me, if a complete stranger took several photos of you without your permission to store on their computer/sexually fantasise about without you even knowing about it, if you found out I bet you wouldn't be happy! Put that together with that a camgirl is selling her image, for someone to take a load of free photos first time they see someone, it's just not a good habit to get into!
