Anyone have any tips for me how to keep my logitech standing? I'm tired of dancing around and bam i look and the cam is falling over. The whole room finds it funny but I dont. I've tried tape on the bottom but after moving it constantly the tape wont stay. That or it stays standing and slowly moves and turns to the side. Thanks for the help!

When i first got mine it took a while to get used to the clamp but i dont need tape or anything. It stays on with no problems, your doesnt have the clamp?

Mine has a clamp too...how about those little octopus looking camera stands? They are supposed to be universal for cams and webcams.

Yep mine looks just like that. But it always seems to fall. Its hard to keep it up right. Maybe im not doing it right or something

I just got back from picking mine up so I can't really say but I will look and see. If it does I'll just ask for a replacement. Or you could order a new one and send back the old if there isn't a serial number to check...I haven't looked at it but not sure HAHA. I'm sure there is though....damn electronics people getting smarter. 7 years ago I could get away with it =)

Here's what I did with mine: I filled a yoo-hoo bottle with cat litter to weight it, and wrapped one of those really thick paper dinner napkins around the little arm part. I basically wrapped that around as tight as I could, and wedged it in the bottle!

ta-daaaaa

it took me a while to find something to weigh it with, and I'm about to swap it out with aquarium gravel, since natural cat litter is ridiculously light. If you're super-crafty and need a semi-permanent solution, you could use Sugru (sort of like silicon playdough) or a DIY version of it to make a female piece for holding it on the table, making a more secure stopper than the napkin, or even just to increase the grip of it.

(mine got moved to the bottle because it kept falling off the monitor)

oh! I just remembered, I've also heard of someone who rubber-banded hers to a wine bottle!

When I'm using my 3G on lap top I generally have the problem of where to put it so I use a my guitar capo to clamp on somewhere and then use elastic bands to attach to it. That might work with cam. Also thought plasticine or blu tac.

I just anchor it to my screen for the most part... and make sure the wire isn't weighing it down when I have it standing on it's own for paid shows. That's the biggest problem I had with it falling- the wire would pull it down with the weight.

I used to keep it on a stack of books. Had the wire between the books, two books down from the camera, with just enough slack to take it off the stack for shows. (it was a stack of three, so on top of the books was two books away, but on the desk was only 1 book away, which allowed for it to get a little bit closer). I used normal sized fantasy books.

Mine doesn't fall too much, but when I'm in certain rooms and moving it around a lot, what I like to do is use painter's tape on the bottom. It works great... Easy to move around and it doesn't really stop doing the job, even after I've moved it around a lot. Works great for me!

i use a small sewing box that has a handle on top of it. i stick the little arm under the strap, and then i just move the box around to wherever i am going and it nevvvver falls. thank goodness for handles.
