The English thing could be irrelevant. Lots of people love Sysy (September Miss MFC confirms this) but I cant be the only one who cannot understand a damn word she says. She's still popular as can be.

I'll admit... some of the non-US models are very sweet and attractive but I personally stick the North America, UK, and Australia because it's come to a point where the conversation is more important than what's on cam *most* evenings. Not to say I don't find my favorite models attractive... but that's not what keeps me there.

As far as my opinion on all of this, I reckon it's just like any other product or service. You need something to differentiate yourself from others. You need several somethings that people find appealing and accentuate them. You need people to find out about it. The hardest part in my opinion is the getting people to find out about it thing.

In my personal opinion it's a shame a lot of models don't do a bit more research before they just jump on cam. Based on the limited time I spend in the lounge (basically when NO model I know is online but I feel like seeing titties >_>) they basically have 4 kinds of people linking models. 1. The straight up pimps pushing a model or two in particular. 2. The guy who is scrolling through all models and mentions free shows or other things of interest. 3. The guys who check models who are known to have free shows or other things of interest in public. 4. The guys who look for New Models to try and pull one over on them. I feel new models who are prepared can take advantage of that 4th point and get themselves into the #3 category (breaking rules not even remotely necessary) and increase exposure much more quickly than slowly building up a CamScore that lists you higher.

As far the other thing I mentioned... the differentiating part I reckon that's basically to say be yourself... not some other model. I'm quite sure the other model can be herself better than you can so why would they watch the immitation? The appealing/accentuate thing basically means know your strengths when it comes to this work and flaunt them. If you're lucky, you're Amber and you have a lot to work with. :h: If not, you still have those things that people are always commenting on or requesting. Put them in the freakin' spotlight.

Once you get them in the door and interested, then it's time to make repeat customers. Make them feel special or engaged and you're in. It's really the same for most businesses in which a monopoly/oligopoly does not exist.

So, Chellebelle, what did you do? I noticed your camscore jumped from 300 to 900 nearly overnight. I didn't even think it was possible to dig yourself out of that kind of hole.

Because of issues I was having with a certified stalker type guy I had to remake a screen name.

It got down to him finding out personal info about me, and it really freaked me out. I banned him, but I still didn't feel comfortable, so I went ahead and made a completely new screen name.

Also - forgot to add this, but a few of my family members found out AND found out my screen name, so that also leaned me towards making a completely new screen name.

Let's just say I've not had a good time keeping this safe and secret!

Hah I was just going to make a post suggesting doing exactly that, and then following Mirra's advice, but then I saw that you had jumped so I was curious.

What I was going to say is that once your camscore descends to the 300 level, not too many people will stumble upon you anymore, and it becomes VERY hard to dig yourself out of that hole. So hard, in fact, that it can be better to just create a new account with a 1000 camscore. Then put on your 'A' game and try to get your camscore up as quickly as possible.

Also, read my thread on 'Reality check' if you're gonna freak out about guys finding out personal info

Also get yourself a premium account. Go to other models rooms as yourself (sure you can do this as a basic or guest) and see what they do. Don't let on you're a model.

Go to the Lounge! (You will need a premium account for this) but don't chat or let anyone know you are a model. See what goes on, who gets pimped, and who gets iggied.
Just remember the Lounge is a hateful place, so don't think they will help you directly, they won't.

I have been trying some of these techniques and my camscore went from 324 to currently 545 :) I was thinking about restarting but why not try the challenge for a while. Just keep trying things, switch up your times, just a bit and dont forget your regulars. Seems to be working for me

I've worked about 30 days total on MFC so far and what I've found to be helpful for me is introducing my little chatting crew to new people in my room who greet me. I have like about 5 to 10 guys that I know will chat me up and keep me from getting bored in my room. There can be one of them on or all but whenever a new guy decides he wants in on the conversation I literally introduce my guys to them saying like "everyone say hi to Canada Boy" and all of them will greet him and usually the new guy will feel comfortable chatting me up and will then come in the next day a part of my little "crew" lol. It's just what works for me I guess. If it's ever painfully slow, now i know to switch things up a bit, whether it be the music or how my bodies positioned as well as greeting a premium or two. Hope this helps hon!

When I found Amber she had a bust shot including her face in a black bra. It was a great pic and showed off some of her assets while also showing her face.

Hee hee--Amber, why did you have your face in a black bra?

Hah, somebody is being a smartass I see! :p

Thanks for noticing! ;)

By the way, it occurs to me that I should introduce myself. I have been working at MFC for a month now, and Bocefish directed me to this forum about two weeks ago. I'm thrilled to have a place where I can talk with the other models. I worked at ImLive for almost two years, but they treat their models like crap, and I could no longer abide being treated like a mindless bimbo. For instance, the only way to interact with the other models was to post on a "models form," which was a farce, since it was moderated by the site, and the site admins deleted any post they disliked. We were actually *forbidden* to contact each other outside the site, in a forum like this one. So Amber, just wanted to say you rock!
