Ah, but I am also curious about this site!

A site where there's few freeloaders, AND intelligent conversation in public chat? Sounds too good to be true to me... But then again, it also sounds like how MFC was for me for the 3 months after I figured out "ban the freeloaders" and before I moved (when everyone thought that just cause I was gone for a week I quit MFC. x.x)

Never heard of Redban or Joe Rogan? LOL. Okay... Nuff said. lol.
I'll let that one alone because you should Google them.

I did, just to humor you. And, guess what? Redban is mostly known for... wait for it... PODCASTING. But without his work on the Joe Rogan Experience, his other podcasts would probably get less traffic.

As for Joe Rogan... Yeah, the host of Fear Factor. There's a major celebrity.

So, we have Redban, who is only known for working with someone who is only slightly more known than himself. And these are celebrities? Better yet, celebrities that have any sort of credence beyond the average Joe on the street? Hardly.

I am involved in many circles of society, also being a former cam model myself. I've had celebrities in my room, as well as the snail from under the rock. I've heard and seen just about everything.

Happy for you. I've met and partied with celebrities, too. Doesn't make me any better than anyone else. Just meant I was in the right place at the right time.

You asked about MFC dying. I gave my two cents and you went off on quality of other sites and people you don't know. Genuine. lol.

Actually, you brought up the quality, saying MFC wasn't as high quality as other sites. I simply asked you to expand upon that. I also pointed out that quality can be subjective in this business.

Sasja1 said:
Carry on. I salute you and your quest to talk other sites down to improve MFC's image.
:handgestures-salute:

I have no reason to bring down other sites, truthfully. I just happen to visit very few sites. But, the nicest models I have talked to have been on MFC and/or Chaturbate, plus one or two on Naked.

And to me, a good personality is more important that looks. I've seen very hot models who had horrid personalities, and I'd never do anything with/for them. And then there's what some might consider more average looking models who have great personalities. And for them, I spend my money. I've also met hot models with great personalities... which makes everything 10x better.

I'm more inclined to believe said site and said $35k in 9 hours for one model was hyperbole over an actual thing that exists. Unless the site charges over $100 a minute for privates, there's very little realistic ways for someone to make that much as bring home pay in 9 hours.

As an example as to how much that is... it's 700,000 tokens on MFC or Chaturbate in one night. Top 3 or so earnings for models on MFC in a single shift... Not likely.

So, if said site exists and has these super great customers who can spend enough to give a girl $35k in a night; it also means the customers are all multi-millionaires or better. Which shows us what she equates to quality members/customers: super rich perverts. But they're still perverts, just like the rest of us.

It's so exclusive, we're not even supposed to know it exists I guess.

Only A-list celebrities like Joe Rogan and whatshisname the podcaster are welcome.

Reminds me, has Maserati seen this yet? I'm sure they'd be clamoring to have such a big name associated with their product, I can see the copy now:
"When your career has reached such giddy heights as officiating over a couple of bimbos slurping down a gallon of donkey jizz, what other challenge of taste, class and sheer sphincter-tightening exhileration wait out there to be tamed? Just one - Maserati." - Joe Rogan, celebrity and Maserati driver.

I think Sasja1 got in trouble for talking about the site that must not be named. She has no info under her name now, and that has to be a bad sign. Poor thing will probably never be seen again.

I was wondering how long people were going to talk to the invisible/non-existent person. :thumbleft:

If this topic has any gas left in its tank, let's focus on discussing that instead of arguing with someone who isn't even here anymore.

Ermahgerd, it's all gone a bit noir/detective movie. Weeeeeeeee! :-D

She sat before, with only the small plumes of billowing cigarette smoke rising from the ashtray on my desk protecting me from the harsh glare of her ice cold stare. Her face gave nothing away but she had a lot of things to say about the other girls' workplace - not a lot of it good.
"And... who do you work for, Miss... Sasja?" I asked, holding out little hope of getting a straight answer.
She looked down at the still smoking ashtray, and began to fidget in her seat in a manner that suggested the proverbial ants were dancing and shimmying in her expensive pants. Suddenly she jerked from her seat, stood up and started for the door.
"Miss Sasja?" I half-heartedly pleaded, with the sincerity of a fat kid complaining about gym class being over.
"I've already said too much... I'm sorry" she answered as she left through the door with a haste that hinted she needed to visit the little girl's room. Her number was up. I didn't know if it was a number one or a number two but as sure as the word DETECTIVE was stenciled onto my office door, I was sure she had let slip something she shouldn't have.

That was a week ago. She hasn't been seen since. Had she really said too much? What did she know and who didn't want me to know what she knew? And did she really know what they didn't want me to know? And why didn't they want me to know what they didn't want me to know? I don't know. But I had to find out.

Not in my current pajama state, no.

I was traveling for most of 2011. I visited MFC regularly in 2010 and when I came back recently I started visiting MFC again in 2012. More than 1 year gap.

It was easy for me to spot the changes immediately.

MFC is as big as ever and they are bringing in as much money as ever. More modes, huge room views, better design and better user experience. More stable.

But this is the sort of business where you see the "long tail" phenomena. The top 20% get 80% of the money. Top 5% get 50% of the money. Everyone else is fighting for scraps. It seems like there is a lot more cam studios from Eastern Europe and Colombia these days too, putting the squeeze on for lower end models.

It is no longer enough to look semi-pretty and naked on cam to make money. The top models are not only really hot, but also very engaging and always moving around and teasing. We are starting to see not just cam girls, but true cam performers like OliviaNaked, Niina_ and Hollyana. There is a lot more competition for a lot more money. This is a sign that MFC is growing, not dying.

As for freeloaders, one needs to realize that every paid member was a freeloader at some point. MFC brings in people. It is up to the models to convert these freeloaders into paying members. Every model needs to figure out what works for them and how they can stay competitive in increasingly more competitive ecosystem.

nice to have the perspective of someone who has actually been gone for awhile....it's a lot easier to notice a puppy become a dog when you're not with it everyday

Knowing I was close to cracking the case and wanting to get a little closer before the sun came up, I left my apartment and started down the stairs. Before I could reach the bottom step, the landlady sprang into view. Like a vision, she danced across the hallway, stopping me dead in my tracks. Up until that moment, Miss Amber had just been the owner of the apartment I was spending my spare time in. But now... before she'd said a word, it was clear she was floating in the periphery of the eye of the storm we were all hurtling towards. She knew something. But what?
"Turn back" she softly spoke. "You don't want to go down this path".
"What path?" I wondered aloud.
"I can't say any more" she replied as she carried on up the stairs towards her room.
"Why not?"
"I have my reasons. Please just trust me on this one".
With that, she was gone. What did she know? Did she know what Sasja knew? With more questions than answers occupying the haze of my mind, I stepped out into the night. It was raining. A storm was brewing. And it was close. Closer than I could know.

Interview woman has powerful friends, I hope Amber won't have to deal with reprisals

Holy fuck bob! Are you secretly a famous writer?

I was digging myself deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole and the light at the end of the tunnel was starting to wane. I'd followed a lead that took me to an unlisted building downtown. I entered through an open window beckoning me from a side alley with the deftness of a three-legged cat.
Inside the building were dozens of rooms, each filled with beautiful women entertaining small gatherings of less than desirable males and tactfully rebutting requests that bordered on demands to show their supple breasts or lift their skirts. Curiously, all the women seemed to be named 'Bebe'. That couldn't be coincidence.
I headed for the main office on the top floor. I had a hunch I'd find what I was looking for there. Looking up from the landing, I saw half a door where the stairs narrowed. As I scaled the stairs, more of the door fell into view with each step I took - the word OWNER, stencilled onto it in big, gold letters, revealed itself to me as I left the final few steps behind me. This had to be it.
To my surprise the door was unlocked. I let myself in, my heart racing an unwinnable race. There she was - Sasja...
"You shouldn't have come here" I heard her say as a glass bottle came violently crashing down on the back of my skull and darkness washed over me, a black tide taking me out to a sea of unconsciousness and unceremoniously leaving me behind to float in uncertainty. I was out for the count.

Especially for the "they were all named Bebe" part. I chuckled out loud here at work when I read it.

Lots of great points. MFC is doing well but models have lots of competition. i would like to see MFC limit the number of models. I mean if they can make the same money as a whole then why not let the money be spread more easily. i just keep thinking so many of us would do better if there werent so many models not to mention the whole cumming in free chat adds on to the competition.

I'm going to respectfully disagree here. Because limiting the models on MFC can lead to a slippery slope.

So, say MFC decides to do a hiring freeze. OK, no new girls come in. Then they decide that the girls not bringing in "enough" should be cut, as well. But, what is "enough" to be considered able to be saved from being dropped? How often is it checked (every pay period? Every month?) to see who isn't bringing in "enough" and should be cut? Is there a warning and then a grace period to try and bring earnings up, before being dropped from MFC?

This slope keeps getting slippier and slippier, until eventually even models who thought they were doing well enough (stayed on the front page and were making money) get caught in the not making "enough" trap. Eventually, only the Shy's, Aspen's, BustyAn's, Jaylyn's, Mary/Crzysysy's, etc. are the only ones left, because they're the ones bringing the most money into MFC, anyway. So, even models who might initially agree with the limiting of models on MFC, thinking it would spread the wealth, would find themselves being cut for not bringing in "enough".

It's quite possible to say that MFC epitomizes the free market and competitive market place, in some ways. Everyone is battling against each other for a finite amount of money, every month-- even if they aren't trying to seem like they're battling. However, those few top models are always taking the biggest share of tokens. But, everyone has a chance to try and make their money. That's a free market and capitalism.

The other thing to remember, is that models with low camscores already aren't bringing in a lot of money to begin with. Checking the last model before the "away" status girls... she has a camscore of 59. Fifty-nine. Even though she is trying to steal Shy's name. :woops:

So, honestly, you shouldn't consider her a threat to your income. At a 59 she isn't making anything on MFC compared to the time she's online. And the first girl on page 3 has a 341 camscore. Again, probably not a detriment to your income (I can't see your profile, so I assume my state is blocked).

Limiting the models isn't a viable answer. It hurts models who are trying to scrape by, and prevents any new models from joining. And, despite the hope that it would spread the wealth around, it most likely won't. The top models will still be taking 90%+ of all the tokens available while they are online, and the bottom models will still be making hardly anything. Those in between probably won't see any significant increase in income, either.
