@nzhere Yes, guest viewers can be real viewers and not bots, but if model goes online and has more than 1000 chaturbate members in less than 5 minutes - that is 100% bots.
Yes, it is good but usually if tweet was before show starts and user entered to the model room room will be offline. And even model start the show when user stay in offline room this user will not be counted as viewer. So user must check following counters in the navigation tab or refresh page every few seconds.and what about models who post on twitter/instagram/fb/etc.
what percentage of a following should be expected to show up at any given hour? I mean, is it unreasonable to think that, ceteris paribus, if you have 500,000 followers, you'll get 10x more people in the first 5 minutes than someone with 50,000 followers?
and what about models who post on twitter/instagram/fb/etc. 'I'll be online in an hour', then prep for camming, and then go online, with their fanbase having that heads up, instead of merely 'send an email to followers' once the broadcast has begun?
Main problem the the other models start to do the same stupid shows, because they think that the rooms are popular because of type of the show, and don't know about bots. How is another model's viewer count preventing you from doing that now?

what stupid show are they doing? if a model is doing show types you don't like, you can either be a high tipper so you have a say. or purchase private shows that are tailored to your specifics. or go to a different model. if these bot count rooms are doing shows that aren't earning them any tokens, the model copying them will eventually figure it out on her own. or she will fail.
i have a sneaky suspicion you are a grey. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think he is talking about the "shhhh my dad is in the next room we need to be quiet!" or "doing homework with my friend, shhhhh i dont want him to know i am masturbating under the table" They are stupid but I don't know if they are lucrative because I have never done them.
Oh the mom is the kitchen gag, proceeds masturbates when mom is in frame but behind wall. Obviously they are fake and it doesn't take a genius to figure it out. I would love to watch these just for the theater. A long commitment to a stunt is always entertaining. I am a fan of all things cringe. Any form porn acting is A+. Porn is about illusion and fantasy. People usually immerse themselves in it. So I can see why it's entertaining for some, but I agree it would get old fast.
Is it wrong for me not to care that newer girls are imitating those shows and failing? Probably because I believe a big important part of camming is to figure out what works for you. If they can't figure it out, well that's on them. If that ruins a customer's camming experience, that is also on them because they can always choose to watch someone else. We all make choices.
I'm a cunt.

Sure, but perhaps there is something to be said about the health of a community like CB or MFC in the sense that everything is interconnected and if the community fails globally it will be that much harder for you to succeed individually.
In my opinion models cheating the system always create a sort of entertainment "bubble", they cheat other models of the spotlight they deserve, and cheat the members out of having a really enjoyable experience. If the first page is littered with models who aren't entertaining enough to warrant being there while the rightful occupants of the top spots are pushed back to the bottom of the page or the second page, then the member who enters chaturbate for the first time might think it is a boring site and leave without spending... models who truly make the site enjoyable might be discouraged when they suddenly realize their room isn't performing as well as it used to, or if they never had a chance to get in the spotlight they believe they need to change their good show into a mediocre "shh my dad is here" crap to outperform others. It just bring the entire site down. The same happens on MFC with the camscore and the models who cheat it.
I saw them on Efukt. I thought it was brilliant show idea. Knew whatever platform this goldmine was on would be horrendously copied.I enjoyed "valeryandconyxx" and I was disappointed that it got banned. The gimmick turned it into the best sitcom on Chaturbate. The woman was very attractive and good improv skills with good comic timing. Her "mother" was probably also a good actress, always too busy mopping and vacuuming in the next room to notice that her "daughter" was masturbating in front of the computer.
The only thing I didn't like: anyone who suggested in chat that it was fake immediately got banned.
But I can relate to when higher up models are cheating the system. We had some controversy a couple years go with $0 gold shows. They pretty much dried up the lake for lower placement gals. Eventually ones running stopped doing it as frequently and customers got bored with no one tipping into them and shows consequently not happening. (If gold shows don't complete, you don't get paid.)
Thank you so much for this link! These were her last shows.I saw them on Efukt. I thought it was brilliant show idea. Knew whatever platform this goldmine was on would be horrendously copied.

That is exactly my point on how cheating the system creates "entertainment bubbles" and have consequences on the site at large. That is actually a really nice example. Another one is on MFC a while back a few models on top, the ones who self tip the most, started giving away their videos practically for free. It started with "all my videos for xxxxx tokens" deals and "new tippers of 100 get a video" and at the height of the bubble we were talking about "get 123 explicit videos for 123 tokens", and *any* new tipper gets my fingering video (we are talking selling videos for literally 1 token).
Back then models who self tipped were also buying pop-unders on other sites to promote themselves and using bots... example: a model sitting in her room fully clothed eating brussel sprouts with 1500 members watching when the room next to her with a similar camscore had a girl doing a sexy dance topless and 250 viewers. The rooms filled with people because the exploitation of the "most popular room" section was brand new and the users were used to visiting the popular rooms. So... what these models would do is cheat the system twice by self tipping and by buying pop-unders. This way their rooms were always packed. Then they sold all their videos for 123 tokens, a bunch of people would bite. They were appealing to the masses. The problem with that strategy is you have to keep lowering the price to entice new people to buy them. So it devalues the videos more and more as the bubble grows.
The first thing that happened is that lower ranked models started to emulate these models because they believed all their success was real (omg 30,000 camscore! 1500 viewers eating brussel sprouts! they sure know something I do not) and thus, the price of the videos across the entire site plummeted. But it wasn't just the value of the videos that suffered, everything suffered with it. It created this expectation on the members that ANY tip was worth a video, and the bulk of the tippers that months before would pay 100 tokens for raffle ticket would never do it now that tons of models were offering insane video packs for that same amount. Why would they put their money on a game of chance if they can get 100s of videos for the price of a ticket? So games started to suffer, and goals would only move if you offered deals with them. Members no longer wanted to simply pitch in for a show.
Clipsites actually establish a minimum price for clips in order to avoid the undercutting among models, because it happens and it makes even the site suffer. I haven't been on MFC in a while, and I assume that just like the $0 gold show wasn't a sustainable practice on Streamate, models had to eventually move away from giving their videos away for free, but I am sure there are probably other strategies in place right now screwing with the collective vibe.
The thing is... if the alleged top models who do this didn't inflate their camscore and room count through self tipping, ad buying and bots, they would sink on the main page to the spot that they actually belong to. Then, lower ranked models wouldn't have an incentive to copy these desperate strategies, they would copy the strategies of the models that actually earned their place on top without using black arts. And it would keep the community in better spirits.
It seems to me Megafapper has demonstrated significant expertise in the subject.
Bots in any form of social media present a problem for all users. The essence of all social media is the wisdom of the crowds, if a bunch of people like something than it is likely to be more worthwhile to watch/share/buy than something that only a few people seem to like. Bots distort that.
I use a lot of different methods to find different models on MFC. Obviously, girls on friendslist, by camscore, rarely new models, but if I'm just in the mood to see something sexy, then most popular room is common way I search. If those rooms prove to be a bored model playing on her cellphone, and 2000 bots, then I'm going to use that method less often. This in turn, will cause me to be less likely to find new models and less likely to spend more money. If it gets real bad like it appears to be happen on CB, I'll simply give up on the site.
Going a bit off topic now....
If you apply this bot issue to online petitions and other stuff, this means that " XXXXX people signed an online petition about XXXXXX " means exactly nothing.....could be all bots set up by an " interested party "....
