To contrast, I have gotten away with this pic for weeks now. There is zero consistency. Granted I have like 5 followers, but I don't even think follower count has anything to do with it. I don't promote myself as a cam girl or anyone having an OF though. I think that might be a big factor. I post as if I am just an IG model.

First, great photo ... second, it seems like IG allows more leeway to those who are “IG models” or appear to be aiming for that status. Like “YouTube stars,” at some point the platform benefits from the clout of having homegrown, popular models, especially if they self-identify as “Instagram influencers” or “Instagram models.” Total double standard. You can’t show your ass unless there’s an opportunity for IG to take a cut of your success. Then they’ll look the other way.

I follow a couple dozen cam models on IG. Aside from the photos/videos, I find it very helpful when they use their stories to alert followers that they’re online. I’m more likely to find out that way than I am from an email notification or randomly catching them while surfing a cam site (because I’m on IG more often than I’m in those other places).

But I do notice some of them keep it WAY simple and vague, probably to avoid a ban. A simple selfie with the word “Online” and maybe a username, that’s it. Which makes sense, because if their followers originated from a cam site, that’s probably enough info to allow them to find the show while also not jeopardizing the model’s account status.

IG Influencer marketing has one major pain point, and that is there's no way to trail and track which conversion came as a result of your posts. It is made for exposure and brand awareness, not for traffic, or a call to action necessarily. It can be worth a shot, if you have a solid plan and an engaged audience that likes your IG content.

Thanks. And I agree with everything you said. I also follow a few SuicideGirls models and they get away with a lot. Even some of those Fashion Nova fashion models... All of them are sexualized. But they aren't posting about OF or being on cam. I am admittedly bad about posting when I'm online, but of all the places I do post (when I remember) I don't post it to IG. I treat it like it's own world. I thought about transforming it to just my food porn account tbh. I cook and bake a lot. 😂 only place I seem to get OF traffic is from MFC, which is the only place I get my IG and Twitter traffic from, too. So it's the only place I really focus on.

Beautiful pic @MissCJ !
Yesssss.....I buy Fashion Nova myself and follow some of their models and they get away with way more! I created an IG for camming a few days ago (nothing on it yet), but I will re-examine my bio info and so forth because it wouldn't be worth it to me to get banned trying to promote myself. I wonder if they are flagging pages of girls who use the "AllMyLinks.Com" URL in their bio?

Just want to say that I see how models in adult industry kind of feel like being discriminated. My personal opinion: as if these so called IG models, and models in general, weren't in the same (in a broader term) adult industry.

This. Agree. And, also, everything is paid for.
There's more than just payment to it, it allows targeting. I can simultaneously have a few different groups seeing a different post and message, and to zero-in on geo-locations, affinities, interests, age and gender, you know, all the stuff affiliates don't usually consider:)

If my posts cause people to click my profile, then click the links in my profile, then sign up to my onlyfans, I call that traffic. But maybe I'm just using the word in a different way than you do.

I don't pay for anything there. Are you guys talking about the targeted and promotional posts? The ads?

Thanks! Before I rebranded, I had the AllMyLinks up in the bio wihout problem. And I got the idea from one of those personal trainer influencers who had a link tree on their bio.

I would just keep your IG focused on IG type marketing. Use hashtags like #OOTD #boudoirphotography #lingeriemodel #femaleempowerment and stuff like that. Just align yourself with IG because there's a reason most cam sites don't have an official account there. So make that part of your life less obvious. Your cam guys will know what you do and why they follow you. The rest of IG can just think you're an influencer. Then when one of them hits you up in the DM, hand over the OF link. 😆

This really seems like the smartest approach. It keeps your cam followers entertained (and informed, if you do the “Online” story updates), while potentially hooking other users and (hopefully) not giving IG much to be suspicious about.

Some of the models I follow list only their first name on IG, mentioning nothing about modeling in their profile bio and never link or mention their site by name. But, again... your fans probably found your IG because they already knew about your modeling page. Then IG just becomes a way to keep them interested, or to remind them to come back. An occasional photo can do that, even with no link.

I'd follow you for all the food porn!

I was referring to paid campaigns, they can have many goals-traffic, awareness, shopping etc. OnlyFans is piggy-backing your social media in a cool way, but they are miles away from what paid campaigns could deliver if we had an option to do it:)

Oh my god, I am ridiculously over instagram. Not only are they beating SWers out with a stick, but on top of that they are making it harder for anyone who isn't paying for their ads to be seen. On my personal account, I have that "business" instagram thing turned on that shows you how many people have seen (not just liked) your photo. It has gotten significantly lower over time, and my personal account has nothing to do with SW. I've seen lots of other accounts from all walks of life posting about this too.

Instagram has reached a maturity curve, which means that there’s less and less space for organic exposure. The main reason I use it on paid campaigns is because of its targeting capacities. I can segment audiences based on gender, location, age, and interests. Non of it applies to our community lamentably:)
