No caffeine for me, either. Tea only (no caffeine in the tea I drink, too). I'm a health nut XD

I recently got into coffee as a thing. I used to buy craft roasted beans either from my friends' company (they're the reason I've gotten into coffee). They are few hours away, so usually I've been buying an ethiopian bean from my farmer's market craft roaster dude.

Then I coarsely grind it and brew in my french press. I make it on the strong side. Then I pour 1 part vanilla almond milk for every 3 parts of coffee. No sugar. It's suuuper good!

I'm buying a Hario coffee siphon if I don't get one for my birthday in October. I'm gonna use it on my porch and have my uppity neighbors wonder if I'm cooking meth.

The bolder and darker the better. Death Wish is my preference. With cinnamon? Fuck yea, all over that. It's really hard to find good cinnamon creamer for cheap though so I usually stick with boring store brand french vanilla and a splash of milk to make it a safe drinking temperature. If I could figure out how to make it cinnamon the way I like with spices then I'd be a happy camper.

Hmm, I think I'll try it tomorrow morning!

Temperature. It is all about temperature.

Give me that shit lukewarm, where I can shotgun it. Cream, sugar? I don't give a damn.

Actually, coffee is quite healthy. Having too much or having unfiltered coffee though is an issue. Otherwise, it's good for your liver, increases your mood (even has been shown to lower your risk of depression), and even might protect against parkinson's and type 2 diabetes!

No more than 2 6oz cups a day, and no unfiltered or heavily sweetened coffee and you're on the healthy side of coffee. There are real health benefits! :D

Many of these health benefits are in decaf, too! Like the reduced risk of liver cancer and the reduced risk of developing type 2 diabetes!

Look into it, if you like. My friends who are coffee roasters are also major health geeks, so they're my source for most this stuff! :p

Ah, I didn't mean to imply that coffee is bad for you. Certainly, as you stated, there are health benefits. I should have explained myself better. It's just I personally don't enjoy the taste of coffee. The only way I can really drink it is if it's in the most unhealthy way possible. I'm talking... Java Chip Frappachinos at Starbucks, LOL!

Light and sweet...full of vim and vigor...large coffee, two cream , two sweetener ...espresso even more sweetener..like it to make my head explode with caffeine unicorns/gummi bears

I do a modified version of "bulletproof" coffee!! Coconut oil, heavy cream- blended in my magic bullet!

Personally, hate coffee. I've never had the taste for it. I'm 100% a tea person. I freaken love the Tazo Chai Latte mix stuff you can get at the grocery store. Just add milk, heat it up on the stove and you have instant love in a cup as far as I'm concerned. :h:

I always preferred it black but now that I'm an old lady with a sensitive stomach I had to stop drinking it a few years ago. Then I realized awhile back I can drink it just fine if I cut it with something; anything really. Milk, cream, booze...

But I hate the taste of creamed coffee without sugar so I'll add that in.

It's no black coffee, but I can at least drink it now!

Although my body is weird and sometimes it puts me to sleep.

Black with a little sugar. And as strong as possible. Rose mentioned Death Wish coffee and ever since trying it that's my go to when I have a little extra cash.

Has anyone heard of coffee naps? It's pretty cool. To take a coffee nap, you drink coffee (at a relatively quick pace, no sipping for a long time) and then you lay down and take a power nap. When you wake up, the coffee is more effective and you are more alert than you might have been just drinking the coffee how you would normally do it.

Basically, there is a chemical compound called "adenosine" that causes you to become fatigued. Adenosine builds up while you are awake, and it fades away while you are asleep. When you consume caffeine under normal circumstances where you have been awake for a little while, the caffeine has to compete with the adenosine. Caffeine doesn't kick in for about 30 minutes after consumption, which gives you time to lay down for a nap and dissipate the built up adenosine, and then you wake up as the coffee has kicked in, feeling more refreshed than you would have by just taking a nap or just drinking coffee!

It might sound strange to drink coffee and then nap, but the studies behind it are pretty solid. Here's a quick article on Huffington Post, but there's definitely more reading you can do about it in scholarly articles as well!

Sorry if my post wasn't well written. I'm on my way out the door and was in a hurry.

There are two different Dunkin Donuts locations that are less than 10 minutes from where I live. The food and coffee at the closest one always seem to taste so much better than the food and coffee at the second closest one. I go in there, and the guy is so friendly and asks me "Bacon, egg, and cheese croissant? Hot coffee? Extra cream, extra sugar?" :)

Straight, pretty rich with a hint of bitterness to it, then very lightly sweeten it and make it murky (milk).

Coffee naps are the shit. I'll totally take one, or two depending on my coffee intake, if I'm pulling a particularly long day.

I'd really like to try Valhala coffee next. They sell it in a combo pack with Death Wish and it's supposed to be just as good. Hells yea, lemme get my hands on that!

I feel like the odd one out now but I really hate the taste of coffee, but I love tea i drink them all day.

Kind of a sore subject for me cuz doc just took me off caffeine. Still drinking my coffee black, but it's decaf. Habit too strong after all these years to stop drinking coffee. Must have with morning newspaper.

I was a barista for years so coffee is part of my soul now. I'm really picky about the blend and roast. I only really like blends from Mexico and they have to be light to medium roast. The lighter the roast the better. During my time as a barista I learned way too much about coffee! One of the things I learned is that lighter roasts have slightly more caffeine than darker roasts. The amount is fairly negligible but that's one of the many reasons I like lighter roasts. Dark roasts just taste like charcoal :p

I also like my coffee to taste like candy and I am not ashamed to admit it. I get so much shit from the people around me for putting three spoonfuls of sugar in my coffee. Its delicious dammit! Especially with half and half. Gonna go brew some now!!

I rarely drink coffee unless its a rare day where I'm up before noon (night owl here). If I do drink it, the best way is iced and black. I'm already iffy on the taste of coffee and sugar just kinda makes it worse for me.

Do you like hot chocolate?
