hey everyone. Just wondering if I share my wish list with my clients and they wish to purchase something for me, do they see my address/personal info? Can I input that info later when it's shipping time? Thanks so much for your help. I appreciate all you AmberCutie helpers!! Xoxox

Hey - Amazon is not very anonymous at all. For example, if you look at my wishlist: http://www.amazon.ca/registry/wishlist/19V07KNGGNX3O
At the top it lists my name, and the city/province my mailing address is listed in. I use a service so the name listed is my cam name and the city is the city my mailbox is located in.

So whatever information you put on your shipping address, it will show your FULL name and the city/state you're in.

Further - if you allow third party shipping, the member can contact them and get an invoice with your address on it. I've heard they can do this for directly-from-Amazon items as well, not sure how true it is but really no wishlist item is worth the risk of your real name and address getting leaked.

Probably the best thing you can do if you want to have a wishlist, unless you want to pay for a mailing service, is to just accept giftcards. You can make a wishlist without entering an address, then just tell your members if they want to purchase items from it, to email you an Amazon giftcard. Then you can redeem the card, purchase it yourself and not risk sharing info.

Another option is to just ask them for emailed Amazon gift cards. You get an email with the code, go to amazon and paste the code, then you purchase whatever you would like!

There's a new website that some have tried called deliverycode.com . It is supposed to keep your information private, but it charges your members extra for the service.
