Hi, I'm a tipper, so someone from the other side 😉.
I recently found a really sweet camgirl (will change the name, let's call her Liza) that I feel is getting overrun by the business. Not sure I'm overthinking here but I wrote her some rules of advice. Not sure I will get to her, but maybe someone in this forum can take something out of it. I really put some effort into it (it might still be chaotic). Obviously I'm a tipper and have no real clue what it means to stand in front of the camera. I actually wrote her two texts but I will merge them here:
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Hi, Liza!
Not sure you read the first text([I will add some relevant points of the first text at the end]) where I already mentioned some warnings. But I really do have the feeling that you need to have more REALTALK.

Liza, I'm really worried about you. From a Tipper's perspective you are doing more than great, but I have the feeling that you are doing much(!) more than you were initially willing to do.
First of all, let's be clear: tippers and camgirls are no friends! Sorry to say that this harshly, but you need to get this. They are customers(!) that want something from you and are willing to pay for it. Some customers are friendly, respectful and nicer than others and some are more disgusting or more harsh than others. And it is the oldest of "games" of men to compliment women into doing something they were maybe not willing to do before...

In chaturbate you can specifically see all 'New Camgirls'. The first week (or little more) you are listed there. Some tippers go there and browse to see who is new on CB and see how they are doing.
And if they find an innocent gem like you are, they get intrigued and want to see how far they can push you. They take an insane amount of money and tip it to the girl. This can build up a lot of pressure on the girl, giving them the feeling they owe the tippers something. Some tippers then start demanding AFTER giving those huge tips/money. I'm sure lot's of girls wouldn't have done what they did if the tipper first asked "Hey do you show XXX when I give you XXXXtk?". They might have declined... Of course you feel flattered of huge amounts but if they pay out of nothing a huge amount, you still owe them NOTHING more than maybe a tip-goal!!!!

You put yourself on the table showing the real you is on one side what makes your channel special, but makes it dangerous for you to loose yourself in the process. You mentioned you didn't have a boyfriend yet and get overwhelmed by all the compliments. I don't say that the tippers don't mean it. Those compliments are true if they say, you are cute or sexy or whatever. But you pay for these compliments by showing the real you on camera, by taking off your cloth, by showing your tits and more. They give you (in best case) tips(money) and JUST WORDS and I'm sure those words can have a powerful impact on you.
No one would say something negative in order to keep the vibe positive and the camgirl happy. I mean the platform is called "Chaturbate", right? Which is a combination of CHAT and MASTURBATE. People are on the platform to masturbate to a girl that works for their fantasy to get off. I know that you know that. Just saying! But again, (lots of) boys say what they need to, to get to the girl. That is as true in chaturbate as it is in real life. But in CB you only have the words and your(!) imagination how that person would look like. In real life a compliment given by a person that you find attractive/appealing/nice will be something you will like, but the same compliment given by someone you find e.g. 'disgusting' might give you a feeling of discomfort. PLEASE, imagine from now on some 40+ guys with beer-belly with their pants down. Try(!) to keep some emotional distance.

Putting the real you on the table will change the real you. Sooner or later. You really need to know before(!) your stream what you are willing to show or do.
Make a list of goals that you want to show on the stream and once those are finished you can still hang around for some time if you want or just stop that stream.
You can still start a new stream after e.g. an hour break and start over again. Yes, start over from totally covered.

Your current strategy to ask the tippers for the next goal will lead to the maximum goal sooner or later. And I know you don't want this to happen. But it will happen if you don't change something.

One strategy could be to 'invent' an other person which you will PLAY during the stream. Give her a name, let's call her 'Amber'. You can give Amber those things of you, you are willing to share with the public and make her say "no" to things that you are not willing to give. Make a real list of DOs and DON'Ts for her, write it down and keep it somewhere visible. Read this list before the stream and when you get carried away during the stream. And after the stream say goodbye to Amber and welcome Liza. [Not sure that advice will work at all]

YOU OWE TIPPERS NOTHING. NOTHING!! And even if you promise something the day before (like e.g. "I will show XXX tomorrow"), YOU STILL DO NOT OWE THE TIPPERS TO DO SO.
Laugh some comments away or just ignore them. Of course some people will get angry or harsh and say "But you told.... blablabla". But that is all part of the pushing-game. YOU OWE THEM NOTHING!!
They have a goal and as long as you give them the hope they can reach it, they will push for it. And you already exposed you much more than I'm sure you wanted.
But it is a good rule of thumb to avoid promises (write that on the Amber-List ;) )

Obviously I'm just a guy from the tipper side and I'm not totally excluded from what I said about tippers. My biggest problem is compassion. Seeing a nice girl in a room, trying desperately to get tips makes me sad and I want to help her. (Therefore I'm usually out of tokens, very fast). But those days might come for you as well where you do all the stuff that people used to love and all of a sudden no one seems to care anymore. It might work the other day or the day after again or never again. You need some mental strategies how to cope with really bad days. Maybe Amber can handle those better than Liza.

[Including here parts from text1. Text1 was a bit more casual and might tackle topics already mentioned before. That was after her first day]
  1. Especially at the early days those guys pop up and tip crazy amounts on "new girls". They want to 'crack' them (sounds more mean than I mean it) to make them show it all and then they are gone. It is like a sport or project to them (I guess). One I can say: It is not "the showing" what gets you most tips, it is "the tease until you show" (whatever it is). So I think it was very good you resisted to show it all at day one... Driving guys crazy by only showing a bit like with a wide shirt with some occasional peeks or a thin top can be perfect.... you don't have to be always topless. When you did put on the opened shirt I personally found this super sexy with those occasional peeks...
  2. I also loved when you said (once) "I don't see the chat I will look at it later after the goal". That is a good habit. If a goal is running (e.g. oilshow) focus on that and make a good experience. I personally do not like if models interrupt their shows just to read message or even chat with others. That destroys the whole goal (that you maybe tipped for). Afterwards it is still time to read those messages.
  3. But IF you like to keep an eye on messages during the shows it is much better to have the screen under the camera so people won't notice you are distracted so easily...
  4. The bigger your channel gets the more messages will bombard you. There are the ones in public chat and PM. Some PM-Guys think they have a shortcut to you (and the PM-Right usually lasts some time). One good thing to say from the beginning:"I will not have always time to respond immediately" (or similar). Even if you do reply immediately that might guy feels even better about the reply... (some models say they don't do PM at all and some save PM only for Fanclub, but most have PM for token or to people that potentially are going to tip)
  5. Public Chat: Did you know that the color of the people actually have a meaning? Grey means (they have an account but never bought any tokens), light blue means they have bought tokens but didn't tip much lately, deep blue tipped >50tk last two weeks. Light Purple >250tk 2weeks. Deep Purple >1000tk 2weeks. Usually the grey ones can get very annoying. Yesterday it was more or less okay, but from my experience once a room is >500 (some) grey people can get really disgusting and annoying. Colored users as well, but strangely it is mostly the grey ones
There are options to restrict your chat. As far as I know:
    1. only people that are minimum light blue (they have bought tokens at least once) or have 1token (not sure)
    2. only people that tipped you at least one token
  6. One thing to know is that a user can downgrade his color to a lower level. I e.g. usually go as "light blue" just to pretend I am not a big tipper. Because once you enter a room of a girl and she sees someone "deep purple" which means this one is a potential tipper, you very often you get a PM from them immediately (if there are not so many tipping users at the moment). I personally don't like to go in a room, not having tokens and the girl is hopeful that I might be one who can tip... (e.g. right now I went to a random room to check for the meaning of the colors and the girl already sent me 5 messages... For an empathic guy like me it is then also hard because I feel their desperation at that moment...and their confusion what they need to do to be appealing to that potential tipper... (but afaik there is an overview of all people in the room sorted by their current amount of tokens...so you will always see who has tokens and who has not,... not sure that is true))
  7. The first day was great BUT there will be times where noone(!) is tipping at all even though enough people are watching and before it went smooth and fast from goal to goal. It is not necessarily because they do not like the new goal. Some possible causes:
    1. People simply ran out of tokens. Usually people have a certain amount of tokens per day/week/month and once it is 0 or almost 0 they obviously stop. Even though they might want to tip more (happens to me every time and faster than I want). And people that are reasonable stick to their plan how much they want to spent on CB and force themself to just watch. You have to know, as a tipper those amounts can add up very(!) fast...
    2. Having some "crazy" guys that just pay the full amount as soon as the goal is set(will talk about those later). Those exist but are rare. It is ok to lift the tip-amount per goal but once those stop tipping you might(!) end up with a tip-amount that is just too huge for normal tippers. If tip-amounts are too big it might happen that people don't even start or slower because they think we will never reach this goal... What you did great was you went on with your nice talks and some 'free' showparts inbetween. A lot of models just sit there until the goals are reached or tip-goals(menu) are tipped for... (which works for one better than the other).
    3. Just because some user seems to be in the room doesn't necessarily mean they are actively watching. It might be that they need to eat, work or even are watching multiple models on different browser tabs or just let the browser open. Not at keyboard means no tips
    4. Like yesterday you had kind of this situation after "the show" where there was a tipless timespan. This was first of all due to everyone who had tokens was tipping to get "the show" done (see out of tokens) but also well you know it was very hot and you know what site is about and for most people this was so hot to get "the thing done" 😉. And once people have what they wanted their motivation to tip is falling rapidly. (This is actually a rule of thumb)
    5. The goal in comparison to the one before seems a step back or seems too expensive or both. Sometimes people don't see what the goal will mean exactly. Like yesterday "Oilshow" after "the show" if I recall right. Oilshow is a common term but how the show then will actually be performed varies extremely. I personally usually don't care about oil-goals but your "oil show" was amazingly incredible and I wouldn't have guessed it would be like this! (I guess you just let it flow and you didn't know how it will work out yourself, but as I already said: This was incredible. Not sure if being more descriptive in the goal-description helps to get the goal running faster. You e.g. went down with the tip-amount which is something you CAN do! BUT do not do it too fast... sometimes you need to be patient even though you want keep going...)
    6. If you set a goal that is somehow not the most appealing one you can already give a peek what the goal after this goal will be. People might think:"Okay, that goal is not for me! But I want to get to the one after that"
    7. And a last one: The goal is just not appealing. Some models to something like "Turn around" or similar... This is not only not appealing but you also have the doubt it will get exciting at all on later goals...
  8. One thing about the DOMI. You need a list to show what tip will activate the domi and how strong the vibrations are. We really had to guess yesterday. In my opinion some models make the mistake to do this prices too high. You need at least some good entry-level tips (if you want them to use the domi). A lot of girls have the domi activated all the time. And occasionally tips come in... But you can also try the option (like yesterday) to say:"Now it is activated! Do give it to me!" and later you put it aside and get it back when needed again... If it is rare... more people will tip when they have the chance. You can also try to disconnect your domi (which will then queue the tips) and say "Okay: It is first collection-time and once let's say minimum 2mins of vibrations are in the queue you will do it...." (actually never saw a model do that, but I would like it)
  9. And a very last thing: One thing I can tell is that it can be strange. A thing that worked one day and people went crazy about it, might not work at the other day and vise versa. Be strong and if you need someone for an honest answer you can always ask me
[end of text1-parts]

Some last advice:
- Try to find other camgirls that are like you and study how they do their work and how they react to comments and then think about how you would have reacted.
- Browse through some camgirl-forums and read experiences of other girls or even ask them questions that only a camgirl can answer:
* https://www.ambercutie.com/forums/
* https://www.wecamgirls.com/forum/

I really just want to help you, because I fear that you might get messed up by the impact of the business if you don't change some things...

Big hug,
Max

Only advice I would give without asking:
1. Don't do anything they don't want to do.
2. Switch all personal social media/networks to pvt.

They don't need to know anything else unless they ask or they've made a mistake/glitch happens.

With all due respect to you as a fellow human, mind your business. No one is going to read all of that, let alone a busy popular model, and from skimming it it's 80% your opinion. Which is just that, an opinion with a little bit of Captain Saveaho tossed in. Tip or don't, you're not her savior.

Tips for new forum poster, from old forum poster; keep it short, sweet and to the point. Don't mansplain camming. Stay respectful and in your own lane. You guys aren't as difficult to come by, as you think you are.

In general, socially; most people don't like unsolicited advice, and find it rude. Most people also won't say that directly, they'll just avoid you going forward, and or mentally label you as a complete Lugnut. So you're welcome.

Give advice, and opinions when asked. Especially in a new space, where no one knows you.

We aren't a free vent journal for Randos. Comes off very rude and assumptive.

Liza, I recommend banning Max once his presence makes you uncomfortable and his tipping isn't worth dealing with. These cam gurus members can be the worst. The best way a member can do to help you is to pay you for your services, not send you infantilizing how-to guides mostly filled with personal opinions.

Sir, can you summarize your post in 1 paragraph?
"I'm warning you about controlling tippers, by being one myself"

Seriously OP, you need to think carefully about what motivated you to do this.
Especially when you already acknowledged this:
I have no real clue what it means to stand in front of the camera

No problem. I understand the opinion that I should just keep it to myself and I understand that the "I try to save the girl"-guys must be one of the most annoying (to a camgirl that is already in business for some time).
She is now on her 3rd day, admitted on day one that she already did more than she wanted to do and promised to do even more the upcoming days what she already did. She is 18 years old, never had a boy friend and gets overloaded with tips. She felt so overwhelmed by all her 'friends'.
Yes, I know. This is the way how CB works. In the best case scenario it is just a perfectly executed act. And I really pray for this to be true. But if not, I don't feel wrong for trying to keep her on her own way.
I obviously didn't tip her to read this. Actually I am one of her mods and she already read it. It's up to her now. Thanks for the constructive dialog. 👍

Since you like to hear yourself talk…maybe you should have taken the model into a one-on-one private show…where you could have read your ridiculously (and unnecessarily) long letter aloud to her. Then she could sit there and make X tokens per minute pretending to be interested in what you’re saying, and she can throw in some “Mm-hmms” and “Oh, yeahs?” and “Hmmm, interesting…” :p Then when you’re done telling her how to do her job (despite the fact that you yourself have never been a cam model), she can tell you to go fuck yourself.

Hi, Liza!
Not sure you read the first text([I will add some relevant points of the first text at the end]) where I already mentioned some warnings. But I really do have the feeling that you need to have more REALTALK.

No one would say something negative in order to keep the vibe positive and the camgirl happy. I mean the platform is called "Chaturbate", right? Which is a combination of CHAT and MASTURBATE. Make a real list of DOs and DON'Ts for her, write it down and keep it somewhere visible. Read this list before the stream and when you get carried away during the stream.

Some last advice:
- Try to find other camgirls that are like you and study how they do their work and how they react to comments and then think about how you would have reacted.
- Browse through some camgirl-forums and read experiences of other girls or even ask them questions that only a camgirl can answer:

I really just want to help you, because I fear that you might get messed up by the impact of the business if you don't change some things...

Big hug,

I would ban you so fast and not read one single word. That shit pisses me off more than dudes who beg for race play. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

And tipped 20K tokens during the private show to compensate for having to listen to all that. 💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵🦻🏻🎧

OP - If she’s getting “overloaded with tips,” I’m not sure what compelled you to think she needed camming advice. Sounds like she’s doing just fine.

The portion of your post that I managed to read before giving up, leads me to think your advice is more controlling and meddling than it is helpful. Lots of “you know you don’t HAVE to do those things for those other members.” What business is it of yours?

I had Copilot condense OPs text to some bulletpoints, I think the advice in those points is valid:

  1. Set Clear Boundaries: Encourage Liza to establish and communicate her limits clearly. She should decide in advance what she is comfortable doing and stick to those boundaries, regardless of the tips she receives.
  2. Stay Professional: Remind Liza to keep interactions professional. While it’s okay to be friendly, she should remember that tippers are customers, not friends, and maintain a professional distance.
  3. Take Breaks: Suggest that Liza takes regular breaks to avoid burnout. It’s important for her to have time away from the screen to relax and recharge.
  4. Seek Support: Encourage Liza to connect with other camgirls or join support groups where she can share experiences and get advice from those who understand the industry.
  5. Be Wary of Manipulation: Advise Liza to be cautious of tippers who try to manipulate her with compliments or large tips. She should trust her instincts and not feel pressured to do anything she’s uncomfortable with.
  6. Focus on Goals: Remind Liza to focus on her own goals and not let tippers dictate her actions. She should set tip goals that align with her comfort level and stick to them.
  7. Educate Herself: Suggest that Liza educate herself about the industry, including common tactics used by manipulative tippers, so she can recognize and avoid them.
  8. Self-Care: Emphasize the importance of self-care. Liza should prioritize her mental and physical health, ensuring she gets enough rest, eats well, and engages in activities she enjoys outside of camming.

The advice might be valid, but unsolicited advice is still unsolicited advice!

Also these bullet points removed the creepy shit lol

Exactly what Lacey and NotYou said.

And oh gosh... what a huge surprise; the guy with the shitty social skills (who likely can't get a woman his age because of that) is going after an 18 year old 🤦‍♀️ .
Textbook.

(Sidenote; therapy isn't the only place you can learn adequate social skills. A ton of these guys who are behind like that are terrified of therapy. You can also hire an interpersonal skills and communication coach, to catch up on this stuff too. Just saying. Life coach time. Someone would make a killing, these days, if they started a finishing school for men like this. Well someone who isn't a manosphere twat waffle anyways...)
