This is where MyCamGirl.net comes in handy: http://mycamgirl.net/myfreecams/model/Wand3rCrazy92

To the OP: Whoa, you've been live on cam almost 80 hours in the last 30 days? That's... a lot. Particularly considering the earnings that you've disclosed to us. Taking taxes into account, you're averaging less than minimum wage.

Maybe my perspective is skewed since I've been in public chat for less than 50 hours in that amount of time (and to be fair, I had to take a week off due to injury). Everyone works the schedule that works for them. But staying online without keeping up, tip-wise, is camscore death. I think the average to maintain a 1000 CS is 450ish tokens per hour at the moment?

Edited to add: For more perspective, here's 30-day public-chat-stats for a random handful of ACFers, all of whom have positive camscores, a good following, and make their token goals (whatever those may be)—AmberCutie - 64 hours; Kickaz - 121 hours; SophiaLocke - 41 hours; SexySteph - 42 hours; GweenBlack - 78 hours; LilahMorrigan - 37 hours. Notice how the higher someone's camscore tends to be, the more hours they're able to put in and still maintain a positive camscore. I'm not saying "don't work a lot," but perhaps working smarter, not harder, is the answer here. Yes, that's cliché. Yes, I still stand by it.

(Seriously, I just did an off-the-top-of-my-head thing, please don't read anything into who I did or didn't mention, haha. ;) )

Be careful about "away" time. You've got an hour and a half of it already. (Again on the perspective thing, I've got seven minutes of away time in the last 30 days.) It counts against your camscore in the sense that you're likely not getting tipped while you're away but it's still adding to your number of hours broadcasting, bringing down your earnings average.

Also, get verified on here. It's invaluable. Doing research is your friend.

So's being polite. We want to help. Make us feel like you appreciate our effort.

Just a quick glance at your profile, you might want to smile more! Staying upbeat and positive will encourage people to stay in your room, and happy people are more likely to tip, ya know?

I almost said the same thing after I looked at her twitter. No smiles to be found on twitter at all!

I hate to say it, because it sounds mean, but some are a lost cause. I don't feel confident that this person is meant to be a cam girl. It takes some charisma and creativity as well as hard work.

I agree with this so much!

I have been there, 500 camscore and all. I had the experience as a camgirl working on private based sites for 7 years, so to make it more bearable for you, it's not because you are new or inexperienced, it's about researching and again researching information about your workplace, no matter if you have been in the field for a decade.

When I started on mfc, the mentality with which I went on was that of a private based site, the one I was so accustomed with -"the more you stay online, the greater & better the outcome". And I went on with me stubbornness and mentality until I dug my own hole, that of a 500 camscore. I was camming for 10 hours straight sometimes with barely any tips after my daily goal was done. Don't get me wrong I wasn't complaining, as long as I was making 2k tokens minimum goal, no matter how long it was taking me to do it. Even now I cam for longer than I probably should...I get carried on into conversations, laughs & faps and I don't think I'll ever change...I just get carried on I suppose...but I did raise my camscore from the pits of 500 to over 2500 just by working a wee bit smarter in quite a short time frame.

Lately I've gone through some personal stuff IRL and I stopped camming as much since the year has started, my camscore went down because of my lack of consistency <--that's a thing everyone has pointed out, it's not the amount of hours you work, but rather being consistent with your schedule and keeping up as much or little as you can with your fan base, twitter/ kik/ snapchat are all great tools for that. (ermm yeah I was a social media failure and therefor haven't used it until quite recently).

What I'm trying to point to, YES YES you can raise your camscore! My experience as a mfc failure in the beginning made me more or less a living proof.

All I can recommend is get the model status here on acf, you can't believe the amount of good information you can find on the model side and also listen to what other more experienced mfc models have to say, they know what they are talking about. Don't try to refute anything you are being told here, call it the Bible belt of the mfc experience and go with it (another mistake I've done in the past :shifty:).

Oh oh :D good luck is in order too (yeah that's important too).

I've been there with a low camscore! But if i appeared on cam looking miserable, just sitting there, WAITING for something to happen, WHY would members tip me? IF you wanna wait for SOMETHING to happen, perhaps go over to a more private based site? Don't get me wrong, sometimes I have really slow nights, but i SMILE all the way regardless. Sometimes those nights dont happen but for a site like MFC CONSISTENTCY & PERSONALITY gets you a long way bb.

If you wanna be a camgirl, FAKE IT (smile more pls bb) TIL YOU MAKE IT and KEEP AT IT. Its hard work... if you're still believing that you can make $1000 a week just sitting there, im sorry to say that is false advertising. It takes effort. You need to create a BRAND.

Smile girl.... please. It takes less muscles to do that than all the frowns we're seeing!

Hi,

Firstly welcome to MFC! Secondly, we have all been where you are. We have all been new, we have all had quiet nights and we have all looked at our camscores and wondered what on earth we are doing wrong. So I wanted you to know you aren't alone. I have a couple of pieces of advice and they may or may not help.

1. You have two choices at this point! Give up or go hard! If you decide MFC isn't for you, there are other camsites such as Streammate or chaturbate and girls can and do make money from those. But you will still have to work at it to build a fan base. If you stay on MFC...

2. Forget about what other girls are making/doing! Watching other girls and wondering what it is you are doing wrong, will do your head in! Be you! Figure out what attracts members to you, and do it!

3. Make some content, stick with in your boundaries, do not ever do anything that you are not comfortable with! A few tokens is not worth selling your soul for. Offer offline deals for your content and online deals.

4. This is the biggest one! Be consistent with your camming. Have a schedule and try to stick to it.

5. If you are online and stressing, take a few minutes off to refresh.

6. Promote yourself. twitter, tumblr etc. network with other models.

If you are already doing these things. Keep at it! You are new and it takes time.

I'm having the same problem getting my camscore and fan base in the air. I think this is an amazing piece of advice and I appreciate this advice and the others also. A lot of them I'll piece together to find my niche. Thank you everyone!

Just a thought. Add your cam and twitter links to your signature here on the forum and then keep chatting. Many models who chat even semi-regularly on the forum [in the public section] tend to get visited by a lot of the member's here on a regular basis.

I'm going to be blunt here. It feels like you're asking for all of this advice, which we gladly (and kindly) give you. Then you respond with
an extremely long sentence, with no punctuation, no capitalization, no ending of your thoughts in which you basically just keep saying, "That's not my problem. My problem was my twitter. I fixed that. I have no more problems." But yet still keep asking us for advice. WE CAN NOT GIVE ADVICE TO YOU IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO LISTEN.

First of all, learn to speak/type as though you are educated. Correct punctuation and spelling will go a long way to make yourself seem more friendly, mature, and all-around smarter.

Secondly, we are giving you advice. Now, whether you think you don't have a problem in each area we discuss (lighting, for example), you might want to look at it from an outsider's perspective. If you're struggling, you're obviously having a problem with something. And it is probably something that you think you're doing well, but the viewers would disagree.

Thirdly, we can not give you specific feedback as to how you are on cam because there is way too much confusion regarding all of your usernames, and we don't even know how/when to find you on cam (since you finally did take some of our advice and changed your username).

Lastly, and this is going to be a tough one because it's so blunt. Some people are just not cut out for camming. If you could not entertain 30 people in your living room, you don't have what it takes. If you can not handle gentle criticism/help from people who are nice about it, you won't be able to handle trolls. I highly suggest trying different sites, but if you're not making enough money to live, there's only one solution. Get a different job. You are an adult and YOU are the one in charge of paying bills, buying food, etc. Don't starve because you are trying to "live the dream" but the dream doesn't work for you. Try to live the dream while working another job, so that if you do make it as a cam model, GREAT! You have extra money! But if you don't, you won't be having to find the nearest soup kitchen just because of being stubborn.

This is exactly what I needed to motivate my day. Thank you.

I know i’m way late on this reply to SxyLPhillips but i’ll say it anyway in case she happens to eventually read this…

I was checking out your twitter page the other day and notice how all tweets were entirely marketing advertisements of your vids, your promos, and when you’re online. Nothing else.

To be constructive yet blunt, reading your twitter page makes you sound like a marketing robot with extremely little personality. I understand twitter is a big marketing tool, particularly of folks in your profession, but there’s an underestimation when tweeting your human side. A lot of us members want to know what makes our favorite model "real," which increases her overall appeal and gives us more incentive to regularly visit. After all, having regulars are often a model’s best customers. You can tweet about your random thoughts or mundane occurrences of your day. Something like “damn i really don’t like folding laundry” makes you sound infinitely more interesting. However, if all tweets are just advertisements and nothing more, sorry to say but that type of model is more forgettable when offline. In essence, showing your human side is a marketing tool in itself.
:twocents-02cents:

ps… i would also recommend cutting back on how often you advertise your vids, promos, online times, etc. It becomes too spammy when it’s 5-10 daily tweets of “hey come check me out and my vids.”

I fully agree with this statement. This is where ALOT of new models go wrong. We like cam girls because its a real girl, not a porn star. We need to see the human you, we need to get to know you as a person. Thats what makes us stay in your room. For example, last night I was watching this BBW new model for a few minutes. And everything that came out of her mouth had nothing to do with herself. She just kept dirty talking and honestly it was quite terrible. It sounded like she just watched a really bad porn and then went on cam to imitate it. Dirty talking is awesome, when your in a show. But up until then, all the top models spend there time talking about there life and the life of other members and other random things. Thats what makes the "connection". Also, make sure you are conversating with everyone. Some new models pull off the "I'm to shy" thing off very well. But most just look like they are not talking not because they are shy but because they don't care to get to know you, they just want to sell there body not there personality. Mfc isn't about that. I've been watching new models for the past couple days, and I've noticed why a lot of them fail. Be you! on top of creativity in your room. You can't just sit there and expect tips to come in. You can't just hop on your dildo for 50tks and expect to get a high cam score. You need to find a balance.
