I just learned when reading the news at work last night that not only is squaw a bad word nowadays, it means cunt in a vulgar non-respectful way. It did not originally mean that historically, it is a phonetic copy of an Algonkian word meaning fullness of woman, but people are stupid so cunt is the new updated meaning in many places.
