Sony still controls the IP and will meddle with this till it breaks. Also unfortunatly it will have to be a 'pass the mantle' sort of movie because how old the original cast is now.
If it was me I'd have all the original ghostbusters already dead and buried and be the ghost a new group have to get ride of but the old one know every way to avoid getting caught.
Or not being aware they're dead and being nagging annoying ghosts haunting a new group.
