First session price complaints

I had my first session on MFC and I had a lot of price complaints about it being too high. I'm posting my menu I put on my profile, but I was also verbally and orally lowering my prices throughout the actual session, and these are prices I've come up with by looking at other models profiles. Am I too steep for being so new? Or are people just being cheapskate? Should I be more generous with something to lure people in?

They can find cheaper girls if that's their thing, but chances are they just like pestering. Don't give them too much attention.

You aren't being exorbitant. NEVER ask for less than you feel you deserve, otherwise regret and shiity feels is what you get.

Thank you! It's my first time camming, so I was obviously a little nervous, but it wasn't like I was setting my countdowns to 10,000. In the middle of the session I was like, okay 600 tokens to topless. If it takes three tips, I'll do a panty after the next one.

I have no comment about the price because you can price yourself whatever you think you're worth.

I do want to point out that you mention "please vote and admire me so I can keep my camscore". Voting and admiring does not effect camscore. Camscore is effectively the amount of tokens you make per hour, with 1000 camscore being the average tokens per hour for every model (IE: 500 camscore = 50% average token per hour, 3000 camscore = 3X the average models tokens per hour).

It might be better to simply remove that, as it may encourage members to feel justified in a free show simply because they rated/admired you.

Edit: Also when you get model verified, there is apparently a post that discusses exactly how much 1000 camscore is worth at the given moment (since it's the average it fluctuates and almost always increases as times goes on). There is also apparently a post discussing exactly how much is needed for the top 100 ranks in there as well, which also may be helpful.

They're cheapskates. A lot of the people who go into "new model" rooms are looking for inexperienced camgirls they can get freebies or price cuts from. Your prices are on the slightly higher end to what I personally would afford on a regular basis, but nothing ridiculous, and nothing "too expensive". Cultivate your room, find the regulars who appreciate you and like to tip what you're worth.

@LunaBella Your prices look fine to me... pretty much spot on for everything you have listed, so don't worry about that. As a new MFC model, you will find that your "new model" tag attracts many freeloaders, beggars and even scammers. They will try to get as much as they can, as cheaply as they can. Don't be afraid to stick to your guns. Always remember it's YOUR room, YOUR rules, YOUR boundaries... and YOUR prices... not theirs! As others have said here, the genuine guys in your room will never bitch and whine about the costs, only the cheapskates.

As a member I see new models with excessive menus all the time, for your list the dance ones seem excessive, but then again I have never seen you dance.
The complaints were probably about the naked meow one though, seems what you were saying is @3000 ...by a countdown to 3000, you were happy to be naked for your members? This seems fair.

Keep this in mind. As a new model few members would take the risk of dropping a 3000 token tip instead of asking for group or pvt time, where their 3000 tokens (pvt time) would give them 50 minutes of almost exclusive attention. You actually would prefer the member to tip towards the countdown and beyond and encourage others to add their tokens, rather than a single spend.
Keep in mind the deal for members and that many smaller amounts may be better for both of you long term.

Additionally, some models ask for much more to assert control over their room... this is not normal, usually they have earned it. Few others can just copy what they ask for, trying to do so results in long periods of silence usually... A common model mistake.

On this ^^ menu, are you performing those actions when you hit that total amount of tokens in the countdowns, or do you do one action, then start a new countdown for the amount listed? I ask because the bottom portion totals over 13,000 tokens, and yes, I think that's pretty high for a newcomer unless your show is really unique and you have pretty high tipping regulars or heavy traffic in your room.

If not, then you're totally spot on for pricing, I think. 2000-5000 for naked and a show is good. That's about where my pricing is now, I started off my first few months with about half of that.

Everything looks good except ball gag and dance seem really high.. keep in mind a dance to their own song request would cost a member upwards of $40.. which is quite high, imo. 1000 tokens for 5 minutes ball gag is 200 tokens/minute, which is $20 to a member- per minute! That's a lot of money. If people are paying that then definitely stick with it, but if no one is tipping for it I'd assume that it's cause it's pricey. My camscore is 9000 and I could definitely not get someone to tip that much for it (but I tend to price my things cheaply, I think).

The highest that a model can charge on Streammate is $14.99, possibly $19.99, and we actually have to ask for that - the highest that's available until you ask for higher prices is $5.99.

Like @LunaTuna, I charge $3.99 (sometimes bump it down to $3.49) for private, and I have guys complaining that THAT is too expensive and asking me to do a $5 gold show or lower my private rate to $1.99. Always with lots of whining about how I'm too expensive. It's a good thing they don't look at my exclusive rate - I do findom in exclusive, so I charge $8.99/minute.

From what I've heard from ladies who have dropped their prices that low, the guys at that price range want you naked in 2 seconds, jackhammering yourself with your biggest dildo nonstop while you talk dirty, fist your ass, deepthroat, and squirt (OK, I'm exaggerating, but only a little bit is the scary part), and they're usually very short shows, whereas up at $4.99/minute, you get the guys who just want you to relax and get off however you get off. You'd think that the guys paying more would expect more bang for their buck, but nope, it's the cheap dudes who want everything now bb.

I am not say you are expensive but since you got your prices from looking at other profiles remember that they are probably more experienced and have a following already. I made the mistake of having high prices for somethings and no one was biting because I am a new model and didn't have any followers that could afford it. My advice is to see what is an average tip in your room and base it off that. Most people will tip me 10 to see their requests so when I make my tip menu I will keep that in mind.

Setting standard prices high isn't a bad idea. It's makes it easier to offer "promotional" deals. Most models who sell videos price individual videos high, and then offer package deals at a steep discount when they are on cam. It's like MSRPs on stuff you see at Macy's or whatever. They don't expect very many people to actually buy many items at that price.

I also thought the song requests were a bit hefty in pricing, but do what YOU think you need to!

The main thing that stood out to me, though, was the "talk/type more for X tokens."

Firstly, I really really hope you're verbally talking aloud in your chat room, as mute models who just type is one of the fastest ways to lose viewers.

Secondly, the option for them to tip for you to talk more makes you seem unfriendly/unwelcoming. I'm not trying to offend you, I'm just trying to show you what it looks like to outsiders. Basically, if they see that they're obligated to tip you to talk more, then they're going to feel like you aren't genuinely interested in interacting with them. It's like you're less personal and more "vending machine" than human, if that makes sense. So they're going to move to another room where the model willingly wants to talk to them.

This menu is countdown, not individual, so it's accumulative, and that's my tiered goals, so to speak.

Honestly, some of the things that I have on there are high because I can do them, but I don't know if I really want to. Like, I don't want someone coming in the room and being like "$1 for 20 minutes of song request?! I'm gonna put on the most awkward horrible music ever!" I do, however, have a blank form of my tip menu already made up because I expected I would have to tweek some stuff.

Camscore is about tokens and time over 60 days. Ratings, room counts, admirers have absolutely no influence.

Once upon a time, years ago, camscore was said to be affected by ratings. So girls who post that are uninformed that it isn't the case anymore.

If you dont really want to do something, leave it off the tip menu rather than pricing it sky high. One item maybe as a joke.. (i have it known i'll take the shocktachi on my clit for a 20 k tip for example) there are big tippers that like to just.. throw money on something silly you'll hate. But things like song requests etc.. are normal things and may send the wrong message if you price them VERY high. People wont understand that you're worried about the douchebags who will troll you with music, and why should they have to pay that much if they want a regular song?

I actually HAD that issue.. i had dudes using stupid songs.. so I made two tip amounts for songs. 22 for a not stupid song. 300 for a stupid song. LOL. People always ask what stupid means so i often get into a f unny discussion that way.

I know fridays_child has a 6969 token tip to play an entire nickelback album and 696 for a nickelback song. *gigglesnort*

all that said you should deff price where you feel comfy. Don't lower your prices past a point of comfort for you. I would just leave items you're not really comfortable with doing.

Regarding countdowns, I think most members are used to thinking of them the other way around. Often we just encounter the individual countdowns in the topic without certainty of what's to come next. This keeps the numbers small and preserves mystery for us and options for you. Having a full show plan is great, but it doesn't have to be on your profile.

So your quickie would just be "750 to shirt off", then shortly after that was hit "750 to pants/skirt off", then finally replaced with "700 to naked".

Aren't all countdowns cumulative, ie. add up successively? I thought that was the point of countdowns, to add up all the tips to reach a goal for one specific end action/goal (topless, cumshow, etc. for x total tokens) and tips were for extra things not included in the countdown lineup.
