Fable 3

I loved Fable, absolutely hated Fable 2 and from what I hear about Fable 3 they took out everything I liked about Fable one and doubled everything I hated about Fable 2, so yeah none of my money will be going towards this game.

The only reason I played 2 and 3 are because I love the story. I think they did a great job. The combat is done well IMO as are the weapons and stuff. So I can at least still have fun playing even if there are things I don't like. As opposed to Dead Rising 2 where I love everything BUT the combat system and combat is so frequent I can barely stand to play the game.

That got me too, I was making around 50k gold from properties and I was planning on just leaving it there for a few hours to get some more money but figured I had another couple rounds of court decisions first so didn't think it was necessary yet.

Am I Doing It Wrong?


My silly dog is finding all these great dog training books, but his stars are still all on 1 outta ___.

I do NOT like how while I am fighting all of a sudden it goes all 300 on me and slows to a crawl to watch some super move I did! It leaves me totally disorganized and I tend to get my ass kicked for 5 seconds before getting back into it! I ALSO hate the camera angles! I keep not being able to SEE the fights because I get stuck behind tree branches!!

Yesterday I was playing (Meadow is being grumpy this week, it seemed better to stay OFF cam instead of getting on and being BitchyMeadow) and I had that break a marriage thing, I was fumed that I bought this jack off a ring, a house, proposed and saved his ex wifes life... ONLY to have her tell me "Why are you still here?" biiiiitch!! I'm such a scrooge with my money! I did not want to spend it on this guy (who I called a begging basic HAHA!!) I would have at least wanted to be paid for my duties! MeanMeadow almost killed her... But I'm trying to be good, while sleeping with prosititutes


(btw, anyone else hunting gnomes? that first one gave me the creeps!)

You have to use the books. Select your dog and if you have any books your dog can use, it will show on the D-Pad (down I think)

It took me a while to figure out the dog book thing too, it's like pyrite said it'll show up onscreen as an option, but he was off about the direction it's been up for me.

I kind of like the slow-motion moves but it does get annoying if it pops up for a normal move instead of a flourish/finisher.

And I'm trying to hunt down the gnomes too, I think I'm at 29/30 of 50, a little behind that on the keymaster achievement

For the narcoleptic gamer such as myself this game is buggy. I'll be walking, fall asleep with my thumb pushing the joystick forward, wake up and I'll be in the middle of some sort of bush or pile of sewage shit or something that I can't get my character out of and have to go back to my last save which was somewhere about 10k gold ago.

Yeah but it's not all the time, or is it...

Pretty sure it's just during flourishes.

And you get really (like albino) pale with weird blue eyes when you're good; evil gives you dark eyes and a meaner expression. I had to keep my characters in the middle to keep them looking human.

Anyone else notice this game really needs a patch?

Finished the game, and I too was screwed over by the time jumping that occurred.. I always play good side first, though evil side usually ends in much more lulz. Honestly, I think Fable: Lost Chapters has been the best out of the series story-wise.. Fable 2 seemed incomplete somehow, and Fable 3 feels sort of like a lead in to another story..

Im yet to beat this game but how it feels so far is they left so much out of the game so they could later sell you more in way of DLC instead of having a complete game with an expansion to it.

Im good, Im all the way good, Im so good that I have every poor person in the shitty houses paying zero rent but my characters looks are yet to change and I look the same when I was neutral. I've been attacked and hit by balverines among other various baddies but yet theres no scars. Guess I just remember the fun times from the first fable where being good gave me a halo and fucking butterflies flying around me at all times with some bad ass scars and now the only time I can know Im good is because my tattoos glow blue when i hold down my spellcast button and when people come up to thank me about the rent.

My friend was telling me about what its like to be evil and he's even more disappointed. He told me that when he went full evil and tried to be a asshole his character would apologize for being a dick. Even though he was evil the people weren't afraid of him, didn't run from him and instead played with his dog and would say "now thats how a hero is supposed to look." And my friend would be sitting there thinking, I just killed your family...and you're playing with my dog.

So it feels like a lot of things I really enjoyed from this game they left out and I'd like to ask them why.

i heard some really bad things about fable 3 - unfinished, slip shod, repetitious.
with games like this i usually wait for patches to be made many times before taking an interest (usually by then the game is being sold at $5 each)

like DUngeon Lords: originally totally crap now totally awesome after 5 years of patches. and now largely free to obtain.

i have fable the lost chapters. havent finished it yet. wasnt too bad at start.

All of the big 3 (Sony Microsoft Nintendo) have agreed that any manufacturer of games that makes a real adult title will NOT be allowed to make games for them, so don't hold your breath.
