Do other sites have many issues with "bots"?

So, onChaturbate anyone will know that there are a lot of these "members" that post stuff like "look at" then a second line "my profile", and there are MANY variations on this. Which then leads to a third party website where they are asking for the people's CC details; presumably to scam them.

It did stop for a few months, so I think CB did something, but the past month it is happening again and at an annoying rate. For instance this one model has had about 9 different ones in 20 - 30 minutes.

I am curious if this happens on other platforms and if not, why?
I think the fact that CB doesn't require email activation to post... make that be a must and it will hopefully fix, right?

Not on streamate. They can't chat unless they have a payment source on file. Gotta love that. Any site where you can register without verifying that you are a real legitimate human, you're going to get bots.

There are still old SM accounts that didn't need payment to setup out there. The accounts locking in payment is only something they added a few years back. Since a lot of SM account used to be auto generated through their relationship with pornhub. Many have accounts they simple don't even know about.

Member accounts get deleted with inactivity though, so if members had accounts that are years old that they dont know about, they have long since been deleted.

I looked sometime last year and found I still had 4 auto generated accounts probably made at least 5 years prior. I just looked and still my account generated by pornhub is still there with no payment info. Again even if they still exist, since most don't know about them it's a moot point either way. Just didn't want a statement that there NO non-payment accounts add completely false security. They are out there.

I'm willing to bet if you try to chat from them it will probably go into the void.
Models have two separate unpaid chat sections "guest chat" for registered users with payment information on file, and "free chat" for registered users with no payment information on file. I haven't had anyone show up in "free chat" for well over a year now when it used to be pretty populated, so I think they've closed that loophole.

I can tell you last year I could definitely talk to a model with those accounts because I had logged into one by accident because one used the same email as my main account. The model was confused as who I was because I came up as a different person. I had to contact support to figure out how to switch back (didn't dawn on me to delete cookies first lol). I'm not going to experiment again but not sure since at least one is still there today they did any special magic in 8 months. but again I'm just saying they exist. I don't believe people are using they maliciously or maybe SM would take more action, I think they just want them be forgot because in many cases they are connected to same emails so purging an active SM account by accident I don't think would be in their interest either.

Okay, my point was that you can't mass-register accounts for botting/spamming purposes on streamate. Which is true with regards to what is presently possible, and what's relevant to the topic of this thread.
