Not sure what you're asking, lol

A sudden transition in temperature, such as going from a very hot to a very cold environment or vice versa, will weaken your resistance as your body tries to re-balance itself quicker than usual.

High heat is usually also associated with high humidity, which means that unless you are accustomed to that, this also increases your risk for getting ill.

It is often believed that colds and flu and other infectious diseases can be caused by cold weather, changes in temperatures, being wet outside, or having wet hair, etc. None of this is correct information.

People also often say that being cold affects your immune system so you are more susceptible to infections. This is also not correct. When this is discussed, it doesn't just mean feeling chilly or even getting "goosebumps" or shivering. Hypothermia can have negative effects on your entire body including the immune system, but just being cold is not hypothermia. When medical studies use that term, it is used to refer to a specific measurement of core body temperature.

Erm...a little off-topic? I for one do believe that being too chilled has *some* effect, I'm not gonna say how much because I'm neither a doctor or a medical scientist of any kind. I also believe that the mind has a powerful effect, if you're in a situation where you *feel* like you'll get sick, somehow inexplicably you will get and or/feel sick on many occasions. It's strange, but it does seem to happen.

Total thread derail but there is indeed a psychosomatic factor sometimes, hence the invention of the placebo.

I lived in interior Alaska for several years and going from -40 to + 70*F and vice versa was a near instantaneous 110* degree change several times a day in the winter months. If you went outside with anything wet, it froze immediately but never noticed anything more than an inconvenience, health wise.

Now if you have a warm, humid climate where mold and other viruses breed, that may be a different story.

If a countdown to a show is not completed in a timely manner the model has the right to seek other means to earn money, this is her job.

I honestly get a bit tired of the idea that tipping is only necessary in exchange for videos or a countdown. That is the reason why tips are almost completely dead during a show. Seems a bit backwards to me.

I agree completely!

Yeah I agree, too. I recently was attempting a countdown for a shower show, and only a couple of my regular, generous tippers were really doing any damage to the count. I had maybe 2 or 3 tips from random people for maybe 10 or 20 tokens, but my best buds would have ended up carrying the whole thing had I just waited it out. Not very fair, IMO. So, I went group for the show. Boy was it fun! Since I don't do penetration in public, I had the freedom to just do whatever I wanted in the shower! I think my besties who were part of it would agree that it was the perfect solution.

So what about the few people who chipped in 10 or 20 to the count? Hopefully they had a handful of tokens to hop in the group show. I feel a little bad, but let's look at the reality of it. The count at the rate it was going would have taken another hour to complete. Who is to say that they'd even stick around that long to see it anyway? If there had been other (greater) contributors, I would have either waited it out or asked them directly if they'd be interested in the group. But there wasn't, so I have to consider the feelings of those who contribute more (my best regulars) before the random people who chip in a few tokens. My only other alternative with a countdown that slow would have been to log off and stew about it. That would have sucked for everyone.

Having been there for that, I agree totally. The countdown was just going too slow and the best solution was taking it to a group show. And it was a blast to watch. One of my favorite shows I've seen her do. Sucks for those who chipped in a little but couldn't afford to join the group show, but this is a job and Amber did what was best for her paycheck and camscore.

To me, doing a show that you were counting down for in group instead of public is a very fair option. At least there's multiple people there to be a part of it. I think Amber nailed the thought process that one could go thru to weigh the risks of doing that.

But moving a show to private, when only one person can "control" the action, is just plain wrong and bad business overall. Sure, you could end up making more that day from the private; but it's not good long-term business (see the OP).

I think we all agree if a countdown show is dragging there is reason to cease the countdown and go group or schedule another day. We all know this is a job and you should do what is best to earn a living.

The other thing about countdowns is the people who lurk in the shadows waiting for the goal to be reached and then they become the loudest voices in the room. How about a new feature. You're muted unless you tip LOL. I know this will never happen and there are times when those of us who do tip are simply out of tokens.

Also, this model in question was getting some bad press in the lounge a few days ago. Apparently she tried a different tactic. Her goal was 4,000 tokens for a show of her dancing. When the goal was reached it became a group show. So, all the people who tipped had to buy more tokens for the group. I do not know if this arrangement was clear up front, from their words it didn't seem that way. Morale of the story is better communication/clearer intentions is needed by this model.

I know exactly what Chaotic was feeling. Several months ago a girl that is now top row had a nice sized countdown going to order pizza delivery and answer the door naked. The tips were flowing like crazy since there was a fairly short time till delivery window. She DID make the entirety of her countdown with time to spare. The room was huge with prems and the chat was indeed buzzing with happy anticipation. There was the knock at the door and BAM... group show. You could see her top few disappear off the list but for the rest of the list the 'WTF' and the numerous 'why did she do that' abounded. After the group, she signed off for the day without coming back to the chat.
IMO and apparently many others, that was underhanded and dishonest of her to do it that way. At no time was that ever mentioned as even a possibility. I did send her mail and she essentially said 'Oops I didn't mean to upset anyone. I wont do it next time.' LOL.. I went back to her room another day and guess what... once more, except this time I hadn't wasted any tokens yet..
Her cute smile and 'deer in the headlights look' doesn't overcome the fact that her tactic has cost her many a decent tip that I am aware of via chat with others.

Wow, that SUCKS!

I've never witnessed any of these "Answering the door naked" shows, but when models do that, are they being careful not to let the delivery guy appear on cam? Or is the delivery guy shown in plain view to public chat viewers?
