CB finally did it?

After logging in tonight and browsing some rooms, I scrolled down to take a peek at the models who were in the Exhibitionist section awaiting verification....

...and the link was gone. Vanished.

However, typing in the direct link that 'used' to work, and I was taken to the Exhib section. So it's still there, just not linked to on the main page as of right now.

I wonder if it's only temporary, or are they in the initial stages of getting rid of that section now that they've added the 'show my cam' link to the models live feed??

They're no longer letting people who are unverified broadcast their camera.

I can't be arsed to find the post right now, but I think they sort of "grandfathered in" people who had been exhibitionists for along time with no issues... can't be sure though. Search out punker barbie's recent posts for more info.

In 3 years CB has never age verified me because I look young. I took a picture with a professional camera/photographer and dressed up/makeup to look older and still rejected. It's sad because it seems the easier site to start.

Chaturbate has always had a zero-tolerance policy for any underage use of the Chaturbate platform. Although no one can receive tokens on Chaturbate without first providing current government-issued photo age verification, we previously allowed individuals who appeared to be at least 24 years of age to broadcast as “Exhibitionists.” “Exhibitionists” did not have to submit age verification; however, were subject to review by hundreds of compliance review persons around the world (who work on a 24 hour/7 days per week basis) as well as by the incredible Chaturbate community, which has always been very proactive in reporting any suspected underage violations.

Unrelated to the PornHub events, over two months ago we took the step to restrict new “Exhibitionist” accounts from broadcasting without first providing age verification after receiving complaints online. Our intent was to allow long-time exhibitionists, who had been repeatedly vetted not only by our worldwide team of reviewers but also by the CB community, to continue to broadcast. However, we have determined, at the request of several Chaturbate broadcasters, to require age verification for all “Exhibitionists.” Although we are making these changes at their request, it is important to understand that this verification change is not due to any underage person streaming on the Chaturbate platform (as we have numerous safeguards and policies in place). Rather, this change is being made out of respect for the concerns expressed by Chaturbate broadcasters. We owe it to all members of the Chaturbate community to listen to everyone's concerns and continuously create a platform where they feel safe, accepted, and heard.

so if a minor somehow joins up with fake id do they call cops or just ban you. i am not underage i just wonder. also how do we know if someone is younger then 18? you can look younger.

Is not accepting verification due to subjectively 'looking' younger something more specific to CB, or is it common amongst the cam sites in general?

Also tbh, I'm actually kind of glad about the restrictions on the Exhibitionist section. The issue about minor-verification has been a question/concern I've had on my mind for awhile. I can only surmise that if someone has the wrong kind of self-esteem issues resulting in a faux need of receiving attention to 'fill the void,' it could be a recipe for disaster. Sure, it's unfortunate that the majority who are perfectly legal are fine are impacted, but I think with this subject, it's still best to be extreme and on the rather-safe-than-sorry path.

I'm sure CB abandoned the Exhib possibility due to the mass of users reporting rooms as being underaged. I saw viewers reporting nude cams only because they were not verified (means with no tip button) even when the model was obviously old enough to exhibit honestly.
Also, it appears to be more 'normal' to allow only adults to stream.

Now, they can concentrate more time of support to really check the submitted documents, to check twice reported rooms, and read fewer arguments by mails imo.

ETA: I started an answer here only for this and forgot... Will CB allow an additional option to exhibitionists to hide their tip button? They can like to display themselves somehow as really being exhibs. @punker barbie , do you have some clue on this point?

I have been cruising/utilizing CB for a couple years now and I always find their claim to be "strict on underage role play" to be a bit, and I am hesitant to use the word hypocritical, but at least I can use "veiled?" Of course I am not policing these rooms, but you run across them all the time.

to play devil's advocate, it is hard to pay attention to what everyone is doing and a lot of sites rely on member reports to be alerted if a performer is breaking ToS. from my observation, they are definitely the most strict out of other sites. chaturbate suspends accounts while they investigating problematic reports. they're also do not allow performers they believe look underage from being verified.

there are also the models who scoot by because they never state during shows or streaming that they are acting underage. they attract the underage crowd by dressing younger and their mannerisms. DDLG and adult baby is a very popular niche in the bdsm scene. i'm not sure if it states in their ToS that these roleplays are forbidden, but I know from working other sites, those sites don't want you saying "im 15" during shows/clips.
