Bitching, Whining, and Complaining on Cam about TOKENS!

How many times have you set in a models room and heard them bitching and whining about TOKENS? This has to be one of my biggest pet peeves! I understand that at some point or other we have probably all bitched about this or the fact that its slow etc but there is one model, I will not name names, that I constantly see doing this and it really just gets under my skin....her cam score used to be in the 10k range and it has dropped about 3k since Dec and I can totally understand why.

I guess what I am saying is if you are on cam everyday you cant just expect people to tip you because you are here. After a while you have to come up with interesting and unique ideas so that you keep things different. You can only "Tip for Tits" so many times before that gets old and you definitely cant depend on your regulars every night to pull you through. If you always just do tips for public shows try a raffle, auction something off....idk do something you dont normally do! Your regulars will appreciate the effort and hopefully you will bring in others who wouldn't normally be in your room.

Sorry for the rant but Im just tired of seeing models who show up and just expect the tokens to flow in.....Get off your ass...work for it, try something different, or dont BITCH cause nobody wants to hear your shit.

NOW with that said if you have something that works for you good, stick with it and keep doing your thing and be the biggest TOKEN/CAM WHORE you can be, just make sure you have fun(=

i agree with you on this... bitching for tokens is not cool... and its not fun to watch

however and puhlllllleeeeeeese dont take this wrong because its not meant to be offensive you have a very high camscore and ive seen your name in the top sometimes. you probably have much more charisma and creativity and cuteness but regardless when youve got bills to pay and noone and nothing to fall back on its pretty easy to get bitchy. im not trying to make you feel bad for your sucess! rock on and you deserve it. im just saying when a girl is bitching about tokens i can empathize. its very hard to be fun and awesome and lighthearted when youve got the stress of just getting by on your shoulders.

No worries hun, no offense taken. I can totally understand being bitchy from time to time. Some of my most memorable cam moments have been me totally wasted and just going on a bitch fest BUT I just dont think its very lucrative for you to do it day in and day out. I know we all have our slow months...Feb has been very slow for me but if I sit and bitch about it everyday and do the same thing that I done yesterday and dont try to figure out something new and exciting that will get my room involved then I have nobody to blame but myself. Sometimes new ideas dont always work and we are just doomed for slow non productive days but atleast when I lay down at night I know I tried. The particular model I was speaking of does the same thing EVERYDAY and to me that would just get old and boring no matter how good of a personality you have.

Oh and as far as my cam score I think its mediocre...ranges from about 4800-5500....but Im very proud of that as it had dropped to 3800 in Nov.

Depends a bit on the model as well, a girl who just got a 2000tkn countdown done in 5 mins isn't going to engender much enthusiasm from the non paying public because she's clearly already well taken care of.

Meh I agree begging is lame but personaly if I mention a lack of tips in my room it's because there are a good amount of premiums w tokens not tipping and I personally find that rude as hell. To me that's like going to the strip club every night with a stack of ones and never throwing a dancer a measily dollar. Its rude and if you don't want to pay, then don't sit in my room for hours on end day after day and expect me to put on a show for free and not call you out on being a cheap ass. Just wanted to step in and echo that while I totally agree that bitching/begging is unattractive, we're cam performers and hell yeah when I show up, I expect to be compensated for my time. These people that spend hours in my room are obviously getting something from me so where does my thanks come in?

Like Gia said, MFC is a CAM site. The raffles and stuff are cute as a once-in-awhile thing, but man. I understand what the culture has become, but what happened to the guys who were happy with spending 10 bucks to watch a smoking hot girl get off? So simple and so forgotten.

If they are a premium member, and expect attention, compassion and to feel good, I would hope that they would at least have the decency to contribute to my show. The lingerie I am wearing was not free, makeup, hair ect. All the preparation and effort that I put into my camming I expect to get something out of it. I didn't shave my legs for nothing. Buy now the members know the game, and I have no problem reminding them that if they want to have an awesome night with me then they need to keep the yellow rolling in. OK, now that I'm feeling a bit better, let me add my thoughts...

This goes back to my whole freeloading thing in another thread. There is a expectation among members that they're going to get things for free and shouldn't need to pay. Part of that comes from the name of the site "My FREE Cams." Part of that is because it's pretty easy to get porn for free on the internet (easiest example of this- MFC's older sister site, My Free Paysite). But there's a bigger problem.

The sad truth is that the increase in models on MFC has outpaced the increase in paying members. I'm confident in saying that in my 14 months of being a member, the average number of models online at any given time has increased at least 50% and could even be as high as 90%. But I'm also confident that the number of paying members has not increased at the same rate. Throw in members who have left MFC for whatever reason and you have a reduction in income for the models.

As a result, you have slow months like so many models are having this month. You have models, like Amber, openly saying that they're cutting down their monthly income goals because things have slowed down so much. And you have what Elay is talking about.

I should note that there is one issue with what Elay said. Elay, I know that you have other things you do to make money, whereas most of the models don't have that. MFC is the ONLY way they make money in the adult entertainment business. So these issues affect those models more acutely than it does someone like yourself or any other model with their own website where they're making money too.

Now, does Leo care? Honestly, I doubt it. MFC itself is probably making more money overall so he has no reason to care. But the models aren't because the available tokens are being spread among too many models. If Leo did care, he would either...

A- increase the worth of tokens to the models
B- let go of models who are not bringing any money in
C- actually enforce the rules
D- permanently ban any habitual rule breakers
E- or any combination of the above

And to be completely honest with you all, I think there's a better chance of me winning the lottery tonight than there is of any of the above happening. I think Leo has let this go on for so long now that things just can not change. He's not willing to sacrifice the money he's making now in order to make life better for the models who work their asses off and do things by the rules. I hate saying that, but that's my gut feeling and my gut feeling is usually on target.

Yes. People (newcomers, even) who are inclined to tip do forget to from time to time, the reminders give them a lil' nudge. It's a necessary evil.

I totally agree with AnaVictoria. Unfortunately, there are too many free/public shows in connection with rule breakers, therefore it is kinda hard for other models to get people for groups/privs. Some people will just move on to the next free show, even if they have tokens. If admins would fine the rule breakers there would imo more grp/priv. but we already had that theme a few times Mfc is called "myfreecams" not myfreeboobs or myfreesquirtshow...models and members always try to get the "cheapest/easiest way" .
It is kinda a vicious circle.

Once again, imo free/public shows with toys, insertion etc. destroyed the market for grps/priv.

I am on MFC for the tipping and nudity in free chat policy. If I wanted to only be appreciated in group or private, I'd go to a site that specializes in this. MFC is not the best place to focus on group/private because what sets them apart from the other sites is the tipping system.

What I'm doing is working just fine for me, if there's ever a time it doesn't, then I'll just log off.

Reading this thread and the others like it just makes me appreciate even more how difficult it is for a lot of models to simply make their time on cam worthwhile. The amount of planning that must go into being a successful cam model really surprises and impresses me.

You are managing a little mini-community in your room, maintaining order, trying to entertain, but also trying to make sure everyone knows its your job and you can only afford to keep doing it if the tips/privates/groups justify it. That has to be an incredibly difficult balance to strike.

as a new member to myfreecams, i actually joined premium status at first because i browsed across an ambercutie show one late night and really liked her, well i should point out i don't make much money at all (i know alot has been said about how hard it is for the models but they make easily 10x more than i do) and in my first month i bought 40 dollars worth of token which is alot to me. and planned for that to be all i spent (i spend that much money to pay for my high speed cable for the whole month)

as i proceeded to view different shows i felt very guilted into tipping by the models as they would constantly mention it and get angry over it and even talk about how they need to pay their rent and stuff like this and so i ended up spending 140$ which is way more money than i can afford because i felt bad and guilty and wanted to help the models out. i could almost not even pay my own rent this month because of this.

if i get on it's the same thing pretty much. i can think of no other service that i would pay 140$ and still feel bad because i am not paying more. that is insane.

i know alot of it is my fault because i probably shouldn't be viewing the shows like every other day hahahaa (also if i can't afford to keep tipping the models i guess that's my problem)..
which hearing the models complain about people not tipping and how low tips mean nothing and stuff then i want to buy tokens and make her happy.

well i only registered to write this to also say think of the people tipping as well, we are not all rich people who can just throw massive tips around every day.. so have a little mercy.

the main reason i watch the cam is because i like to see the girls happy and receive pleasure for themselves, so it's not easy to watch them complaining and sad because of no tips. i almost want to sell my blood to make them happy.

well anyways.. i just wanted to give another perspective on it and to show how it can affect both sides.
it has been a very frustrating experience for my first month, i have really liked alot of models but the expectation to tip day to day is a standard that most normal people cannot maintain.

I can appreciate having limited funds. My basic account has remained basic because I have not made enough to spend $20 on tokens, though I will do this in the next few days so I can tip the lovely ladies I am learning from

I would never expect a man to go into debt to tip me, however just like with any other service you shouldn't expect to get more than what you can and do pay for.

When my free trial of netflix is over I can't beg them to let me keep it because I really enjoy it but simply don't have the funds for it right now. Life doesn't work that way and neither does camming.

The FREE part of MyFreeCams is that initial taste, that netflix free trial. If you want more you need to throw down a few tokens for it. If you can't afford the full unlimited 3DVDs out at a time package then just get the unlimited streaming no DVD one instead. If you can't afford that then you should probably spend more time working and less time watching movies. (or cams as it may be).

It's very easy to feel sometimes that when the guilt trip happens it's going to be the same few tipping over and over because the rest - the ones who really should feel guilty if anyone - simply have no tokens, no intention to get any, and don't care.
