Biggest Cam Trends of 2014?

For me it seems like ...

Shows: The ubiquitous library shows have only GROWN more popular (both # girls doing it + # premiums choosing those rooms). Guys vote with their tokens and it seems the popularity isn't going away anytime soon.

Fashion: Buttplugs. Whether they're bejeweled, foxtails, or plain ole plugs, I see this WAY more often than I did last year.

Although, we started to see girls begin to use snapchat in 2013. I would say it's taken off in 2014. I would be willing to guess it is in the fact the biggest NEW trend.

Hell yeah! at least 1 out of 4 models have some type of club you can join for special videos/prizes. This is by far the most popular trend in my eyes. Doesn't it ever make you wonder who was the first one to start up this idea?

I've seen date raffles for awhile but there are so many this year. I was afraid that I couldn't get into the Top 20 without one because many of the T20 girls do them. Thankfully, my Penguin Army doesn't seem to care if I do them and have kicked major ass this month!

Both, in my case.
My camscore is not low, but it's not satisfying to me either. It used to be much higher and it sank a lot, not really because I've started making much less per hour, but because I haven't been online a lot the past months (we've talked about how there's a connection between camscore and online time in the camscore thread in MO).
I don't want to get grumpy every time I look at my profile so I've hid it from myself and only look at it in the admin section occasionally. I also don't want members to judge me by my camscore and think 'wow, this girl's camscore used to be higher, she must have been unsuccessful lately'). Besides, if anyone sees my placement and looks at the camscores of the models around me, they can figure out what mine is anyway. :?

I've detected 1361 girls with camscore hidden. The camscores range from 70 to 12k. But 62% have a camscore less than or equal to 800. Only 2 girls are above 10k.

Interesting fact: a girl who hasn't been on MFC for over a year, though she is active on her site, camscore near 10k... and she decided to hide it. She still not using her MFC account.

Was only recently thinking about this, but from 1994 to present...cam trends are slow but steady/ constant changes.
Models used to come from the club scene/ dancers, then from porn (it went video from movies), to where it is now where anyone with a camera can try it. 2014, we are post the gaming scene/ way beyond cosplay, we need that quick hit of action, then to move on. Give us that one image/ feeling we need, then we are happy.
Let us snapchat our favourite lover going down on us to all our friends so we can get on with our next big thing. In 2014 we only need the world to know we are getting some, then we can get on with living. :shhh:

I hide it because I no longer get "why is your camscore so low?" or "i'd love to be your mentor and help you"

When you have a low camscore and it is stressing you out, it really helps if you can try to just forget it even exists

For me personally, I would do it because I've received some hateful tumblr anon messages when my CS got low(er). They could still find it out if they bothered to dig deep enough, but I have a feeling they wouldn't.

A trend that I see on the upswing this year is models teaming up.

Lots more girl A visiting girl B. And often it's top 20 models doing it.

Now having a "Guest Star" has always been a way to boost viewers, tips and CS, and audiences enjoy. But it seems that now the audience is looking for more duo shows from their favorites, and the models are following the trend.

It sure seems more common to see team ups now then a year or three ago.

Stuff I've noticed in my 4 yrs on MFC. I could be wrong.

2011 - Cooking shows. Cookie raffles. Hot wax shows. I feel like I saw more whiteboards. Spanking was a big thing.

2012 - risky outdoor shows were starting to crop up more. Hotels, cars, etc. Pizza delivery shows became a thing. Lots of girls selling their phone numbers for texting. sybians everywhere...

2013 - Video prices crashed.. and bulk video deals became a thing. I feel like. Library shows became standard rather than one-of-many-risky shows that could happen. I saw more girls selling KIK. Lots more girls owning fuck machines. Tip wars became very common though these started in 2012 i think.

2014 - The year of the snapchat. Kik was crushed. I have seen way more date raffles also. "tease" shows becoming more popular and successful. NON-NUDE models have always been around but it has been more social/silly in the past. I'm also just this year starting to see more successful models making domination a main focus in their room as opposed to 'i also do this in private'. It's being incorported into their image and they are doing well with busy rooms. I also agree top models are doing more 'big name' team ups.
