I let my fans buy gaming time with me, just want some recommendations for what games would be best for it! I usually only play solo-player games by myself.

So far I have Portal 2 and Dead Island to play with, but it'd be nice to have some kinda party-games, like Mario Kart or something where we'd be competing directly against each-other? But not Call of Duty haha.

I just have a PC.

There are a few games like that on steam that you can get cheaply and practice with. D0mino is the one to ask, she regularly beats the snot out of all and sundry on-cam while playing mortal combat and the like. I'm just a solo PC player as well, and tend to stay away from the arcade style games.

I've had some game time with my favourite model, it was great fun

Left 4 Dead 2 on the XBox - (we played 4 player-- me, her, and two other of her regs)
Borderlands (but I never got around to playing that one with her :crybaby: )

ok edit, I missed the bit about only having a PC

Civilization 5 (if you like long games lol)
Counter-Strike
L4D2
Starcraft 2

nm, this post, I completely missed the mark on what you were asking for, I don't really play those types of games

I would personally go for the Blizzard games, but I'm biased. Starcraft 2 is excellent: you can keep connected by voice through skype, and either battle each other or co-op against someone else! world of warcraft is good too, although that could take a bit more time commitment (I am a former wow addict myself).

OH and League of Legends (or Heroes of Newerth).

Long shot... if you're very familiar with warcraft 3, I used to play the user-created maps online a LOT with people (there were a lot of wicked tower defense games, as well as DOTA and ...was it enfos? I forget). I would assume those are still at least a little active!

I also totally LOVE Blizzard games. Diablo2, Diablo3, Starcraft. As of right now D3 does not have PvP (player vs player), but D2 does and it should be pretty cheap. Also, Steam will have some good options for you. Torchlight, Team Fortress, Counter Strike, etc...
